This is a work of one shots or different events from my story Ace of Spades. Need to read that to understand this.

The thing about Ace is, when you take his backstory out of context, he doesn't really make any sense. Haruta notices this and proceeds to blow it wildly out of proportion and ruin everything. AKA, haruta no HARUTA YES, the fic.

Instead of following in his father's footsteps Ace travels the sea's as a bounty hunter until an unfortunate event causes an encounter with the whitebeard pirates. But maybe things aren't as bad as they seem.

Being hit by a power that compels you to always tell the truth was not fun, as Ace learned, especially when you're hiding a secret from everyone around you. A big secret. A The-Pirate-King-Was-My-Father type of big secret. Thankfully Marco's around to keep him in check, though that's slowly becoming its own problem as well.

Ace had been the last of his fallen Kingdom, gaining two brothers and learning their language swiftly. Being older, he met with some soldiers in time of war, but he had to retrieve medicine. Things may have gone badly, but the God of Fate always has things set out for him and the Goddess of Love isn't too far behind. Oneshot! Enjoy!

It isn't until the first time Ace gets drunk that they learn he has a brother. Doting on him has become a favorite pass time and they can see him thriving under the attention. Ace knew the ropes to people having amnesia since Sabo had it once before, but was told Marco maybe have skimmed by with not getting it. How can a story change your life?

Thatch is a pretty nice guy, you know? He works hard on things that make people smile, like food or flowers. So when some teenager blatantly commits grand theft botany, it's up to Thatch to avenge his garden! Except, turns out he wanted the flowers for his best girl, and Thatch can't exactly begrudge him that...

Law keeps trying to beat the past, but the past keeps beating him. A story of recovery and resilience. Law x Luffy, much later Law x Marco (I know!), Luffy x Zoro. When Marco wakes up, he can tell that this is not the room in which he has been sleeping lately. No, this is the cabin that was destroyed alongside the rest of the Moby Dick over two years ago.

The idea of Ace thinking himself inadequate in any way was mindboggling to Marco.

One thing was certain, Marco wasn't a social butterfly. He could be himself around family, but as soon as he was outside of the realm of their main home then he was completely a 'to himself' kind of person.
