When Harry is hit by yet another killing curse, he wakes up years in the past and in an alternate reality. As an unknown child in a foreign world, Harry has a chance to change the outcome of the war - while dealing with new magical talents, pureblood politics and Black family drama.

Set during Race to the Edge. Astrid pulls a girl move and wonders why Hiccup doesn't seem to have such an obvious crush on her anymore, as in "you used to pay attention to me and now you don't and I don't like it." Too bad she can't keep her mouth shut about it, but it takes some coaxing to make Hiccup open his.

Astrid rescues Hiccup after he was taken by pirates four months ago. However, his mind and body have been shattered by starvation, abuse, and worse. Now, Astrid is left to pick up the pieces and try to find the mind of the boy she loves amidst the tendrils of darkness that hold him hostage. But the healing process will be long and difficult.

Two years after HTTYD 1 (but 3 years before HTTYD 2, because math) Hiccup and Astrid are noticing each other on a more intimate level, and begin leaving gifts for one another in secret.

Berk is left shocked after a battle with a witch goes wrong. Everyone's horrified . . . except for Toothless. Apparently, he didn't care whether his surrogate brother was a human or dragon. Or, the one where Hiccup becomes a baby Night Fury.
