But, unlike the others, this foster has a secret that could bring Danny back into the hero business. Because, unlike the others, this foster is a hero himself: He is Batman.

A business agreement. A small-town hero, on the run and struggling. A danger few people even believe is real. When an unexpected face intervenes on a mission gone wrong, the Boy Wonder begins to realise that there's more to the story. And what started out as a hunt for answers draws the Duo - and the Team - into a more complex web than any of them could have seen coming.

Various oneshots detailing life after the Earth was saved from the disasteroid. Most aren't related to each other and are open to interpretation. Latest: You'd think after the disaster with Cujo that Danny would be less than fond of ghostly animals, especially given how chaotic they all get. Which is why it's a little surprising to see what exactly he's claiming to have adopted.

But the heart of a hero knows no bounds, and Danny finds staying hidden to be much harder than he anticipated; especially when Happy Harbor isn't nearly as "overlooked" as he thought.

Danny groaned as he slowly became aware of the world around him. His head throbbed and his body ached. His eyes, clenched shut, slowly fluttered open. He blinked a few times as his eyes adjusted to the light, minimal as it was. The first thing Danny realized was that he was laying face first on cold, hard ground and that stone surrounded him.

The moment Voldemort regained his body, the Old Religion cried out. For the first time in more than a thousand years, Merlin is called from the forward to right the balance once more. Disguised as a fifth year student, he must fight to stop Voldemort when it is not his destiny to do so.
