Author has written 9 stories for Smallville, Roswell, Harry Potter, High School Musical, and Gossip Girl. If you know what petrarchan means then you would know the kind of stories that interests me. Basically, I like characters who are strong and are oft-neglected because there is so many things that can be done with them. Pretty much like a blank canvas and as I am petrarchan, I ship in this manner: Smallville: Basically all kinds of Chloe / ? permutations. Chloe / Clark. Chloe / Bruce. Chloe / Oliver. It doesn't matter. Chloe deserves someone who will love her. Harry Potter: Harry / Hermione because there is more to love than the initial attraction. Because I believe that true love should have its reasons and reasons beget action and anyone who has read the series carefully should know that any other outcome outside of this pair, though not impossible, is a hard-sell. ER: John Carter / Lucy Knight because they represent things that could have been X-Files: Mulder / Scully because epic love stories stem from friendship and trust High School Musical: Kelsi / Troy because as cliche as High School Musical may be, Kelsi's character makes it real. Everyone was a Kelsi at some point in time. Dawson's Creek: Jack / Jen. I know he's gay and she was not such a nice character to begin with but she grew up and he was there. They couldn't be but they made sense. Pacey / Joey because they were more human and real and therefore, likeable together than apart. Labyrinth: Goblin King / Sarah because this coupling needed a little more work from readers and viewers to discern and to discern it was a treasure in itself. Lord of the Rings: Faramir / Eowyn because they were both broken and decided to go beyond their respective sob stories without having to deny who they were and what they had to endure in their separate pasts. Not that I don't enjoy other ships or other categories. I do believe that people need to ship but how they ship is entirely ones' choice and we should all respect each others choices. So no flames, no shame. This world is big enough for all of us. Gossip Girl: Chuck / Blair because they are inevitable sometimes tragic sometimes funny but always epic. |
