Sherlock returns to London, to 221B, but he returns alone. With no body, he's left wondering, but with no John, he's left alone. He's heard that soldiers coming back from war have a hard time readjusting. He had no idea it hurt this much. And on top of it all, John's former employers are about to come calling. This is a prompt that emilytennant-cumberbatch sent me on tumblr. I love both Sherlock AND chess, so I was more than happy to oblige to her request. It's not a very long fic...but I had fun writing it nonetheless. I hope you enjoy it!

John find out Sherlock is not dead the morning of his wedding. The news come to much of a surprise to him causing him to faint hitting his head on the floor loosing his memory.

This was inspired by an episode of Radio 4's Cabin Pressure in which Benedict Cumberbatch's character sprained his ankle. Hence Sherlock spraining his ankle and acting like a child about it.

Something important always seemed to happen on Christmas day for John and Sherlock; whether it be an announcement, a return, or maybe even a kiss. So what other day would their be to pop the most important question ever? Eventual JohnLock. Part of my Christmas Collection.
