Author has written 4 stories for Merlin. Now it's time for information about me... Where I live: the United States of America When I lived: 20th century and beyond Why I lived: ???? What I lived: My life Who: Said The Liar 13 How I lived: To its fullest Hobbies: Daydreaming Drawing Reading (fanfiction and other books) Playing Ultimate Frisbee ...Yes, it's very informative, as you can tell. Holy crap guys, it's been a while...I haven't updated this profile since I finished posting my last story and a lot has changed since then. I was an art major at my local college and then finished my studies at another. As of 2015, I had graduated with a Bachelor's in Fine and Performing Arts with a Theatre Concentration. That's right, I changed my major from art to theatre although the two go hand-in-hand, especially in my line of work. Now, I'm a set builder/designer at the local college and I teach there too. Life's been good...but busy. As anybody who works in theatre knows, jobs aren't your normal Monday through Friday, 9 to 5 shift. Jobs come and go and you have to be there to catch them. I'm blessed to be able to have a sort-of normal theatre job at the college but whenever possible, I work on call for theaters/companies that need extra hands. I can't complain though...that's just the life of a techie. Not only that but I love the work and experience I've gained from it. The best part of the theatre world is the connections you make. If you know one person, you'll eventually know everyone. It's a small world for theatre. I'm also a cosplayer - an amateur one, but a cosplayer nonetheless. I know how to sew from my college days and I know how to construct from work. I'd say that's a good combination for cosplay. I'm still learning from what others have done and mastered and it's amazing what can be designed with the imagination. Whenever I am not working for a theater, I'm home working on my costume. My brother and I have been going to Connecticon for these past few years. Last year I built a full body Xenomorph costume from the Alien and AVP movies and this year I'm going as Stormfly from How to Train Your Dragon. I can't wait to see how it turns out! I'm a nerd at heart. My previous addiction was Pokemon (and still slightly is), but seeing as I have become a "Pokemon Master" several times, it has become more of a 'nostalgic hobby'. It came back with the uprising of Pokémon Go but once again, life and other priorities come first. My favorite books would have to be: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (including The Hobbit)- Awesome movies! The Chronicles of Narnia - the books are much better than the movies in my opinion The Belgariad (series), The Mallorean (series), Belgarath the Sorcerror, and Polgara the Sorcerress - David and Leigh Eddings are amazing authors and these books (which belong to the same fantasy world) were brilliantly written The Elenium (trilogy) and The Tamuli (trilogy) - again another set of books written by David and Leigh Eddings And No, I have not seen or read any of the Harry Potter books! (gasp) :O My favorite TV shows are: Psych - between the obscure references and the humor, it was an awesome show and will still make you laugh any day. I will miss it forever. Merlin - the season finale was awesome and tear-jerking. I was so depressed that Christmas day/eve but the series had a good run and will be missed immensely. Grimm - a nice twist on the classic fairytales. Unfortunately, this series is about to reach its finale...sigh...but I guess all good things must come to an end. Avatar, The Last Airbender Batman Beyond It's really sad to look at this list and see that all these shows are done and over with. I guess I can't find a show I really love that's actually still on aire. Favorite Movies: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy The Avengers (and there appropriate superhero movies) Star Trek Rise of the Guardians Pretty Much All Animated Disney Movies (not that Camp Rock or Hananah Montana crap) I haven't written anything in a really long time. I know before I said I had a couple stories in mind - and I still do - but I haven't had the time (and, to my shame, the motivation) to even begin. It's a long process for me to plan out a story and then sit and right it out and I appreciate and commend authors who can pop out well written, lengthy chapters in a matter of two or three days. If/when I do get back into writing, I'll only be posting when my story is almost or actually fully written. After the last story, I can't make readers wait that long again. As of now, I'm still floating around the fanfiction website, specifically the Merlin universe, and will be reading and reviewing stories for quite some time. |
