![]() Author has written 7 stories for Naruto, One Piece, Kingdoms of Amalur, Fairy Tail, and Bleach. Hi. I'm Dan. I write shit sometimes, stop writing for years, then write some more. I'm an anime/manga guy, a bookworm, a gamer, a blade collector, and an amateur writing hoping to learn to suck less. Age: Old enough for whatever bullshit age is pertinent to. Favorite food: Food. Favorite color: Purple. Favorite pastime: Reading or writing, video games, pool, general relaxation. I don't know what else, I tend to just go with the flow. Anime/Mangas I like, in no particular order: Gundam - Le epic. All of them. They don't have to make sense, or have good English voice acting. Shit gives me chills to this day. Zoids - Mostly just New Century Zero. Grew up building the models and wishing I had a Liger. If only, if only. Naruto - Kishimoto, buddy, I don't get it. I dont. But I respect you and you gave me too much joy for me to harp on the negatives. My generation's manga of choice, hands down. Bleach - I do not think Kishimoto is an OBJECTIVELY good writer. He does not do plot well and his world definitely has logic holes in it. Nonetheless I think he is a creative genius with a brilliant mind, and he knows how to put his audience on the absolute edge of their seats. Rave Master - Kind of hard to follow plot-wise, and the story takes some getting used to, but it's definitely unique, and the characters are cool. Also, if you read Rave before Fairy Tail you can see Mashima evolve as an artist. It's quite impressive. Fairy Tail - Plot armor, plot armor, and plot armor. Good guys all the way. But visually beautiful, incredibly exciting, and touching in the most sincere of ways. This manga is all about the heroes and how big their hearts are. A great read. Pokemon - Can't hate. Childhood. Now it's hella bad. Yugioh - First series, first five seasons. After that it's all card games and no suspense or meaningful plot. Joey Wheeler is my dude. Yu Yu Hakusho - Amazing characters, BS crazy art style, a GOOD english dub, and phenomenal action and plot. World built is pretty basic, with ties to Japanese mythology. Not to go wrong with on this one. Tenjo Tenge - Disgustingly brutal, horrifically confusing, and slightly traumatizing. I fucking love it. Hard to read and understand, but if you enjoy Japanese mythology, underground martial arts, and good old fashioned thuggery and violence, this is definitely worth your time Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann - Mech epic music really cool lines. Dragon Ball Z - Fucking duh. Inuyasha - Cute as fuck and violent as hell. Y'all probably understand my tastes by now. Definitely watch or read worthy. Rosario Vampire - Fanservice, mythology, brutality, world-tearing bloodbath. Sekirei - The most adorable fanservice you will ever read. Borderline hentai but still great. Tough - More underground martial arts and brutality, but far more realistic than Tenjo Tenge. This manga is straight violence, all bout the fighting. (random others that I can't remember right now) |
