Author has written 15 stories for Ghost Hunt, Super Smash Brothers, Artemis Fowl, Professor Layton, Death Note, Harry Potter, and Fire Emblem.

MOUSE?! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!

Getting ready for college. I'm not dead though. I've just been swamped with school and life and all things and I've just been really busy. I am still involved with a bunch of fandoms, but I haven't been inspired to write anything for them recently. I'm still writing, rest assured, but it's mostly original stories now. If you're interested in what I'm doing, you can bop over to my Deviantart account: http:///. I'm far more active on there nowadays. But I'm still reading all of your lovely reviews, and I smile at every one.

So is this account inactive?

Yes and no. You can still reach me through the PM system if you want to be friends or talk to me about something, but at this point I can't promise if/when I'll be uploading more stories. Whenever I make my triumphant return to fanfiction though, it'll be through this account. So if you're willing to suffer the wait with me, I'll be here.

About the Username: That's always the main reason I look at people's profiles, so I'll explain my own right here in case you're the same way and you don't feel like tramping through this mini novella of random stuff: My username is MouseMaster42 all thanks to my 8th grade English teacher. She complained constantly that my handwriting was too small, and even went so far as to start calling me the Mouse-Writer. A few of my friends caught on and fellow author ShayDeLuca (or, now, Lydia.StJames)started calling me the Mouse Master. Since then it's been my username for pretty much everything, and it was only natural that I'd call myself that when I came here. But to my dismay, that name was already taken. So I tacked a 42 onto it because 42 is the meaning of life. You can call me whatever you like: I usually go by Mouse, but Mousey, MM, 42, or even Squeaks all work as well. If you call me something else but you actually know me and there's a reason for the nickname, I won't mind. If you start calling me "Master," I will be creeped out...And secretly flattered, but I'll pretend to be annoyed.

Current Status: I'll be an adult in three months. That's a bit creepy.

Avatar Credit: Design belongs to the ever glorious MessengerOfDreams. I had to tweak it a little to make it work as an avatar, but he still made the original image. The quote "Trust me, I just lit the stadium on fire" actually is one of mine. XD

Word of Wisdom Nothing is coincidence.

I decided to become an author in the first grade, where I had a marvelous teacher who convinced me that maybe--just maybe--I had the skills to actually do something with my work. I graduated elementary school, completed my first novella in seventh grade thanks to massive support of my best friend, graduated middle school, wrote another novel freshman year, again with massive support, and became vaguely aware that this teacher had retired. I think I sent her a letter or something, but it was very impersonal. I went to high school, joined fanfiction.net, and had several other marvelous people tell me that maybe--just maybe--I have the skills, or at least the potential, to do something big and important. I've written some pieces that I'm extremely proud of, and am starting to seriously consider doing something with writing for my life. This is all thanks to this teacher, mind you, who I hadn't seen in ten years.

So I'm running around town, training for cross country, and I see this woman who I think may have been this teacher. I honestly had lost all contact with the woman who first encouraged me to write, and only vaguely recognized her. I didn't call out. I kept running.

When I got home, I started thinking. Wondering if it was really her or not. Thinking that I'd never told her what a huge impact she'd made on my life. I can't imagine living without writing now, and I was scared to think that she'd forever pass out of my life without knowing how much she'd changed it.

So I sent her a message, acknowledging that it was stupid, acknowledging that it may not have been her, but I didn't care and I just wanted to tell her that I'm doing what I'm doing today because of her.

And just now, a few minutes ago, she messaged me back, saying that it was her. And that she remembers me. And that she still believes in me and my writing.

She made me believe that I can do something.

Glory to God.

About My Stories: Just an update for anyone curious--Ten bucks says I'll forget to update this and everything will soon be horribly out of date, but whatever. I'll just delete it if it gets too tedious. (Behold, laziness at its finest, right there)

Active/On-Hold:

Unknown Variable: On hold. (Hopefully) just a short Professor Layton fic to work the kinks out of my writer's block. An episodic fic following the trivial encounters Claire and a certain red-haired amnesiac have over the four years leading up to Claire's death. Somewhere in the range of 12-15 chapters, with the first 4 already posted. On haitus until the Game is finished, but it's next on my to-do list, don't worry. XD

Sporadic stuff: I have about 50ish unfinished drabbles from various categories (SSBB, Artemis Fowl, FMA, Vocaloid, Thor, 999, Legend of Zelda, Tiger and Bunny...) lying around on my computer, but it's really anybody's guess if/when I'll ever finish any of them. These will all be posted sporadically as I dig them out and complete them to my liking. X_x Projects like Patience Young Grasshopper and Depth have all fallen into this black hole of non-completion, unfortunately.

Planned/Conceptual:

Murder In The Dark: In the writing stage and planned to be uploaded on a sporadic basis during my cross country season if all goes well. Based off of the children's game: When the residents of the Brawl suburb start dropping likes flies, it's up to Police Commissioner Link to find the killer before there's nobody left to safe. AU, AH. _ Something completely different. There will obviously be some character death.

Inkblot Renaissance: Conceptual/planning, but is now a confirmed project. My redemption of my first SSBB story Inkblot. The kingdom is thrown into chaos and anarchy when the prince (*cough*) is murdered in his sleep by a trusted friend. A story of a girl-soldier and a boy with black hair trying to survive in a dog-eat-dog world full of betrayal and broken promises. Features some of my OCs, but now is scheduled to contain nearly all of the SSBB characters.

GH story (Tentatively titled "Continuum"): Conceptual/plot-outlining. Naru has returned to England after completing college and reassembles SPR to continue his research on Japanese paranormal phenomena. All of the original cast and pairings you love. No OCs added, nothing fancy. Just a darker twist on the story we all know.

Complete:

The Game: ...Oh my gosh. Easily HANDS DOWN the most complex and emotionally involved fanfiction piece I've ever seen through to completion. My claim to fame, essentially. That thing got INSANELY popular and I have no idea why. But it was SO much fun. I'm really happy I was able to see it safely through to completion. I'm so happy about this, man. Like, indescribably happy. I could talk for hours about this fic. It stole two years of my life and I wouldn't trade the world to get those two year back. I suppose I'd define it as a slice-of-life/growing up, but it's a mix of all things, really.

The Mirror: Angsty Sev/Lily oneshot. A friend of mine showed me a depressing picture on deviantart and I had to draw it because the idea of it would not get out of my head. Plus, I just sort of wanted to try writing Harry Potter fanfiction because I grew up with the books. xD Published per the request of the friend who showed me the picture. Angst/longing.

Twinkletoes: Fluffy (to the point of cavities--it's that bad) threeshot attempting to get re-used to writing stories where the chapters are actually related to one another all over again. Also attempting to find and walk the line in-between keeping Naru as a somewhat lovable and compassionate guy without completely losing his obnoxious side. I'm ridiculously happy with this piece, just because it made me happy writing it. Romance/awkwardness.

Shatter: Similar to Disappointed--another look at Marth's relationship with his father. Much more personal than any other fanfiction I've ever written at this point: dwelling on the nature of a perfectionist. Angst/personal growth.

Answer: A little one-shot to personally help me cope with the deaths of the two characters I accidentally got attached to while reading Death Note. Personally, I feel like this fic displays the deepest level of writing I'm currently capable of. Also my one and only M-rated fic, rated thus for language. Angst/acceptance.

Heat-Haze Days: Random one-shot based off of a Vocaloid song. Lin and Naru's interactions were completely OOC, but I'm still happy with it. Angst/grief.

Invenire Amorem Alterius: One-shot to promote and give closure to my favorite Professor Layton pairing; Clive/Emmy. I put a lot of my own preferences into this one, and I liked how it came out. Romance/Growing up

A Quiet Place: Random little piece dwelling on transitioning from a playful relationship to a more serious one. Based off of MessengerOfDreams' The Game: Young Blood. Romance/trust.

Disappointed: Little one-shot I wrote when I was feeling sorry for myself. Dwelling on the nature of having a parent not think you're a worthy child and the type of self-abusing person such a child would grow up to be. Angst/emotional blowout.

Observations of a Dreamer: One-shot that was mostly a test to see whether or not I could write Artemis Fowl fanfiction appropriately. Just following Angeline Fowl around as she says goodnight to her three boys. Family/awkwardness.

Green Headlights: A one-shot depicting Naru with a nightmare. Told from Monk-San's POV--mostly just messing around with the characters. Again, semi-OOC. Angst/friendship

Ruffled Feathers: My first published fanfiction. Twoshot depicting a little scenario in the SPR office, just playing around a little with perspectives. In retrospect, the characters are OOC, but it was still cute. Romance/teasing.

Discontinued:

Inkblot: Discontinued for a reason. It' just... embarrassing. I wrote it back in middle school and it was basically an insertion-fantasy fic with no plot whatsoever.

Other works:

I wrote a chapter (soon to be two) for CEObrainz's Everybody Brawls project and guest-authored a chapter in Araceli L's awesome fic Prince's Tale. I also got the lovely opportunity to work with Araceli L, Kattheamazing, and MessengerOfDreams to judge The Contest For Those We've Left Behind (keyword: Modacelimazing42). All of these side projects are/were really fun, and I'm grateful for opportunities like this. :)

NOVEL PROJECTS:

The big novel project at the moment (i.e., the only only that I'm actively working on) is fellow fanfiction author LydiaSt.James's and my co-op project of the century, creativity entitled The Last Saint. We've been developing the characters in the St. James family for years now, and are just now trying to convert it into a book. It's going verrrry slowly, but when it's done it will be amazing. I have two other completed projects waiting for me to find the time to revise. The one of primary interest and the one I'm leaning towards publication once all of the errors are fixed is The Revolution, which is a sci-fi/romance novel told through a girl's POV.The other is titled Trilogy but needs to be majorly revised as I wrote it when I was 12. I also started a graphic novel project entitled Tsubasa Nova that's about virtual reality and drawn in semi-realism. That project is still in the conceptual phase as I'm nailing down character designs and plot arcs.

Mouse’s Thoughts On…(AKA F.A.Q.)

YES I'M A GIRL. XD I'm amused by how many people think I'm a guy. I'm also Christian.

Personality: I see myself as a quirky person who’s just sort of floating her way through life. XD I like making people laugh, but my sense of humor is pretty sharp. Dark humor amuses me in ways that it should not. Every personality test points out that I’m rational to a fault, but I’m also pretty emotional. I cry at movies, I cry when I read, I cry when I’m mad, I don’t cry when I gouge a chunk of flesh out of my finger (LOL), um...what else? I have a big brother complex. I don't have a flesh-and-blood brother, but I have several substitutes, so it's all good. I'm the eldest child in my family. I like cats and small fluffy creatures...I talk to myself all the time, and sometimes I talk to imaginary people when I get bored of talking to myself...Yeah. I’m a bubbly person who enjoys intellectual conversation and making people laugh and enjoy themselves, but I think I come across as a space-case. That’s me in a nutshell.

Interests: Reading, writing, drawing (semi-realism pen and pencil sketches), playing videogames, sword-fighting with sticks in the backyard, climbing trees, doing geeky things with friends, climbing trees, and karate. I have really random interests, like quantum physics and morphogenetic field theory. X_x And animation and character design. And Batman. I have a huge Batman complex. HEY. LISTEN. I have a deviantart now: http:/// Will hopefully be publishing some of my drawings there.

Books: Yes. All of them. Fantasy and sci-fi all the way, man. My favorite book is Howl's Moving Castle, and my favorite author is Katherine Kurtz.

Movies: Twisty plot? Smart lines? Stuff blowing up? Swords? Dark humor? Attractive men? Superheroes? Any/all of the above? Yes. I’ll go see it.

Anime/Manga: See Movies for my preferences. Some of the current highlights are Tiger and Bunny (coming out in English!), Fullmetal Alchemist, Death Note, Fruits Basket, Ghost Hunt, Pandora Hearts (manga--the anime sucked), and Ouran High School Host Club.

Videogames: My basic requirements are that it’s for the Wii or DS/3DS, the gameplay is unique and requires some skill, the characters are memorable, it requires some skill/brain power, and it has a plot. RPGs and escape-the-room/puzzle games are amazing. Professor Layton (Mask of Miracles was INCREDIBLE *), Legend of Zelda, and 999 are the ones that I play most often, but I enjoyed Kid Icarus as well. I'm super jazzed right now for the sequel to 999, which I think I'm getting for Christmas.

Music: Good lyrics, a strong beat, and an actual melody are all I need. My current favorite artist at this moment is Ellie Goulding, but, but I also really like Florence the Machine, MuteMath and Pendulum. My iPod is a mix of all things, and my tastes vary like you wouldn't believe. The song I can't get out of my head right now is "She's Got Me Dancing" by Tommy sparks.

OCs: There aren't many that I put in fanfiction. The most well-known is Oliver Stoelhart--everybody's favorite psychiatrist from The Game. My first SSBB fanfiction revolved around an insertion-type Mary-Sue OC, and since then I've been extremely turned off to that sort of thing. It can be done well, but it really doesn't work for me. I have a plethora of OCs taking up valuable brain-space, the most prominent being a boy-assassin named Cathan who's technically been with me since 7th grade, but I generally don't share much about them. I just bounce ideas off of them when I'm bored and throw them into novel projects.

Will you be Friends with me?: I’ll be friends with anybody, but you have to take the time to get to know me. I really don’t like people asking me to be their friend out of the blue, because I think friendship is something earned. That said, I get along with almost anybody, so as long as you don’t get sick of me talking, you’re in.

Pet Peeves: Grammar. And--this is just a personal issue--it usually bugs me when a character who is straight in the canon is made out to be gay. As a fanfiction author who enjoys writing crackfics every now and then, I don't deny that it's fun to occasionally warp characters out of their canonical norm, but switching sexual orientations doesn't work for me, unfortunately. I don't hate it, I just don't enjoy it. I also don't like when my shoelaces are different lengths, when my cords are tangled, or when two sorts of food are touching on my plate.

Fanfiction.net: This is creepy. I have fans. On fanfiction. It's really weird. But I like it here--I've made some awesome friends. :D If all goes well I'll be sticking around for a bit. I swear, my ego has gotten such a huge shot off of this site.

About my Favs: I ship really random stuff, and I keep changing my personal rules about whether or not something deserves a fav. Usually the stuff I fav is something that I just want to be able to find my way back to via my kindle. I go on huge faving sprees before I go on roadtrips and generally end up deleting about half of the stuff I bookmark. :\ It's a bad habit and I'm working on taking it more seriously.

Writing: I write all sorts of things. If I like a fandom, I’ve probably written something for it, even if it's not published. I have this tendency to fold every single piece of paper I write on the same way, so that it’s impossible to tell what’s on what, but that's a whole other issue. My natural style is very descriptive and lends itself quite well to most any type of writing. I write all genres, but most of the stuff I publish is either angst or fluff. I project a lot of my own preferences into my writing, but I think that’s okay... It still amazes me how much attention I’ve got. I hope to publish an original work in the near future, and plan to minor if not major in creative writing.

REMEMBER WHEN ..

getting high meant swinging at a playground?
the worst thing you could get from a boy was cooties?
when your worst enemies were your siblings

“Anyone lived in a Pretty How Town” by E.E. Cummings

Anyone lived in a pretty how town
(with up so floating many bells down)
spring summer autumn winter
he sang his didn't he danced his did.

Women and men (both little and small)
cared for anyone not at all
they sowed their isn't they reaped their same
sun moon stars rain

children guessed (but only a few
and down they forgot as up they grew
autumn winter spring summer)
that noone loved him more by more

when by now and tree by leaf
she laughed his joy she cried his grief
bird by snow and stir by still
anyone's any was all to her

someones married their everyones
laughed their cryings and did their dance
(sleep wake hope and then)they
said their nevers they slept their dream

stars rain sun moon
(and only the snow can begin to explain
how children are apt to forget to remember
with up so floating many bells down)

one day anyone died i guess
(and noone stooped to kiss his face)
busy folk buried them side by side
little by little and was by was

all by all and deep by deep
and more by more they dream their sleep
noone and anyone earth by april
with by spirit and if by yes.

Women and men (both dong and ding)
summer autumn winter spring
reaped their sowing and went their came

I'm going to take (steal?) a page from Foxpilot's book and thank a few important people, because thanking people is what I do. :) I'm totally going to embarrass everybody named, but whatever.

First thanks to Cross your Heart for me: I didn't know you at the time and I still don't know you now, but you read my first published fanfiction and gave me my first review, and I'm really grateful. You gave me my first impression of fanfiction.net, and it was a great one. Thanks. :)

Thanks to Diagon Lord of Lawlz; The first work of mine you read was Inkblot, which sucked, but you stayed with it and helped me improve my plot a TON, and you were one of the first people who I actually got to know through this site, so thanks for everything.

Thanks to Pk Love Omega; You also first met me at Inkblot, and you're always so supportive and nice, no matter what I turn out. Thanks for your optimism--sometimes that's the only think that kept me writing.

Thanks to RawkHawk2.0; You've been around since the beginning too, and you're still here, and you're often a source of inspiration to me, so thanks. :) I'm sorry it always takes me so long to get to your requests!

Thanks to tonguetiedandtwentysomething; Thank you so much for letting me use your idea as a springboard. Not to mention I love your style and your attitude. You come across as really mature (but you're probably older than me, so that's to be expected).

Thanks to Araceli L; Man...you're just amazing. I always love reading your stuff, I love talking to you, and I really liked working with you. Guest-authoring in the Prince's Tale was so much fun, and I owe you for introducing me to Florence The Machine. I really admire you as an author, even more so after getting to know you.

Thanks to AcolyteOfAzura; I knew you before you joined. XD haha...Anyway, you were the always the optimistic reviewer who really inspired me at times and made me nearly choke on my lunch because I was laughing so hard at others. You're awesome and I hope to see more of your stuff out there.

Thanks to Foxpilot, who gave me the idea to have a special thanks section here. You're always really technical and you always give really awesome advice, and because of that I feel like I've improved at lot. Not to mention that I'm always really proud when I manage to impress you. :) Getting to know you has been really fun, I consider you a mentor to me.

Thanks to Sir StarIlI; you restored my faith in humanity, my friend. XD I really love talking with you--that's honestly some of the only intelligent conversation I have sometimes, and even when the conversation isn't all that intelligent (bananas and belts), it's still loads of fun. Thanks for replying to all of my long messages in such great, awesome detail. I owe you for introducing me to the best videogame of all bleepin' time. I love all of our inside jokes. Amazing Spandex Woman will vanquish Forgett-O Man someday!

Thanks to MessengerOfDreams; There isn't much that I haven't thanked you for a katrillion times already, so I'll just repeat something I said earlier: your username is completely accurate. You've really given me hope that maybe I can do something with my writing, and it's awesome knowing that there really are people out there who are as nice and friendly as you. Thank you so much for everything. :) If I had an older brother, I'd want him to be like you.

And my last shout-out goes to my two real-world friends, LydiaSt.James (Jeezum...there is no way I'm calling you Lydia. You're Shay and you always will be =_=) and Sogo. I wouldn't be who I am with my writing were it not for you two.

Sogo, you are my geek-friend. You get it, dudette. I can be a total fangirl with you, and that's awesome. XD Not to mention that you constantly help me spawn (cannibalistic potato-chip-loving) plot-bunnies, and I always have so much random fun hanging out with you, so thanks. :)

Shay, thank you for being my unofficial editor and I hope I can return the favor someday because, when you try, you write so much better than I do. I was trying to be nice and not gush about you for the whole internet to hear, but then you gave me permission and I plan to make you regret it: Words do not describe how amazing you are. I have brief flashes of brilliance, but you're always ON, even when I'm completely brain-dead. You're inspiring, you let me mess around with your virtual characters, you gave me not one but SEVERAL older brothers to interact with not to mention Jay, who is the epitome of epicness, hands down. I can always trust you to have a different way of thinking about things that makes me think about WHY I think what I think and has led me to massive revelations about my life and the way I should live it. I would be completely different had I not met you back in the 7th grade. I can't count the number of times you've jerked me out of a depression or completely turned a bad day around. You are my inspirational muse, my vent, my DJ, my family-away-from-my-family, my conscience, and my best friend and I love you for it. You will forever be my sister.

xXx

Right, that's it. I hope you learned something. If not, that's okay too. XD Thank you for dropping by this corner of...
