Author has written 5 stories for Hetalia - Axis Powers. Deviantart: http:/// Tumblr: http:// Hey, I'm Lydia. I'm 17 years old and American. Sorry I haven't updated in awhile. School's a pain. I love drawing and writing, and I absolutely adore manga/anime. Yaoi is awesome, but I can be a het fan. You know. If I try. Really hard. I also don't mind yuri. I believe words are mankind's worst weapon, worse than any nuclear or atomic bomb. I don't believe in the saying "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." In contrast, I believe words are also one of mankind's greatest gifts, alongside life, love, and liberty. I believe people take their words for granted; that they don't realize the power behind their words. Words are a blessing and a curse, but you decide which context yours reside in. Current Plans: I am working on several Code Geass oneshots (all SuzaLulu), a Durarara! multi-chapter fic (Shizaya, duh), original novels, and screenplays/teleplays. Tough Market is kind of on hiatus at the moment, and I'm not sure if I'll pick it up again. I am currently in a creative writing class at school and preparing for the dreaded college application process. Aiyah! "You say I would make a better liar. I never face the music when it's dire. I breathe disaster, ever after, don't pull away from me now. Don't you move, can't you stay where you are? Just for now, I could be your perfect disaster, you could be my ever after." - "Ever After" - Marianas Trench To the reviewer f28282288 on Brother Complex (since I have no other way to contact you), I give you permission to translate Brother Complex into Chinese. I don't know any Chinese, so I can't be much help there, and I thank you for offering to. Favorite Fandoms: Code Geass Durarara!! Not only is their music amazing and genuine, but they're hilarious. Josh's vocals are beautiful, and God, his range - he hits those notes like no one else. This band really has a story behind them and I love how ambitious they are with their albums. Masterpiece Theatre: best album I have ever heard. I loved how the medleys tied the album together. I finally got to see them live! It was so surreal.) Anberlin (Such a great rock band with such powerful songs. They never let me down and I relate so much to their songs that they can bring me to tears.) Imogen Heap (Her music is so relaxing, but thought provoking. Jason Derulo, your "What'cha Say" has nothing on "Hide and Seek".) Fall Out Boy (They have such clever wordplay in their lyrics combined perfectly with infectious melodies and they balance well between genres. I really miss them now that they've gone on an "indefinite hiatus".) Hey Rosetta (I have developed an intense love for this indie rock band thanks to SaveTheRave. Tim Baker has this soulful voice that real gets down deep inside of you and fills you with emotion. I love it when their songs change tempo and style, giving it a bit of that medley feel without actually being so. Their lyrics have a simple intricacy to them that masterfully combines common words and phrases with metaphors and themes. They're so original and really make you think.) Paramore (Another band that balances well between genres. Their music is strong and empowering, with a hint of vulnerability here and there. Too bad they're having band disputes recently.) Muse (This band is in a world of its own and I'm loving it. There's a futuristic, new age feel to them that fuses with rock styling from the eighties and other genres to create a mindnumbing revolution of music.) MIKA (This guy is just amazing. His vocal range is astounding and while I'm usually not a fan of pop, there is a real love and meaning behind his songs. He's just so unique.) Adam Lambert (First saw him on American Idol, and wow, those classic rock covers paired with his vocal range won me over almost immediately. I wish his debut album hadn't been so pop, but his songs are infectious and some of them a throwback to the 80's. And his acoustic of "Whataya Want From Me" is so tender.) Panic! At The Disco (Like FOB, they have great wordplay in their lyrics, but they're still a band all their own. Their first album has such an off color and in some cases, humorous feel to it. Still warming up to the second album. It's a little too folk for me. Third album was amazing. I don't know what I was thinking before, but I love it now.) The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus (Loved the first album, hated the second, and now I'm so glad they left Virgin Records. Their new EP is great; a real throwback to DYFI. DYFI had such a great alternative power and the vulnerability shown in "Cat and Mouse" and "Your Guardian Angel" is so endearing.) Florence + The Machine (I just recently discovered her and wow, she is so original. I've never heard a sound as unique as hers, and her voice is so powerful and gorgeous. My favorites of her songs are "Cosmic Love", "Between Two Lungs", "Howl", and obviously "Dog Days Are Over".) |
