"Your imagination is your preview of life's coming attractions." -Albert Einstein NOTICE: Don't panic! I do not abandon works-in-progress; they might take me a while to continue and finish, though. Hey there! I'd guess you'd say fan fiction is a guilty pleasure of mine; I usually gear towards Doctor Who, and Sherlock seems to have now become my second fandom, but I have been known to read and write others. Content-wise, I like to be very heavy on continuity, mostly because I like it when my stories can actually plausibly occur inside the universe of the show (though, sometimes I make allowances for myself). Also, I'm more interested in emotions and motivations behind the actions of characters, so that's what I like to write about, too. For instance, my stories deal with having to relive memories, either through the appearances of people from a character's past or through dreams. Also, I just think crossovers are hilarious, so I have started focusing on those. And just so you know, I'd be the first to criticize my own work. Sometimes, I'll look back at something I posted even a week before and think, "How can people have favorited this or reviewed it positively? This is purely horrible!" But I don't take it down because, well, someone out there might actually enjoy it. So, while my original motivation might be to get an annoying plot bunny out of my head, my ultimate goal is for others to read and enjoy... (But the occasional positive review doesn't hurt.) Oh, and I have lots of plot bunnies hopping around in my head. I should probably give some of them up for adoption. My only problem is with the stories that I've started, got really into, got writer's block/bored, then abandoned, but pretend that I haven't. Well, that's it for now. Thanks for reading! Currently in the works: Boy Meets World: Shawn/Angela, taking place five years after the finale; it's been kind of floating in my head for a couple of years now, actually, but I've only recently started writing it. (For those waiting for the next chapter, please be patient. This one will be written slowly, as I will have to be in the right mood for it.) Doctor Who: What awaits the Doctor behind his door in The God Complex? Each chapter contains a different possibility. I've also started some random Doctor Who and Sherlock one-shot (usually) stories, and they will be posted upon completion. |
