This was really enjoyable. I especially liked your characterization of the First Doctor. It was spot on, right down to him flubbing his lines ;) I adore the idea that Ten still doesn't remember Ian's last name, too. This was charming.

Wondering now: who else (Companions, celebrities) might Jack have fathered while he was waiting for the Doctor?

I just started, I haven't even finished the first chapter yet, I just wanted to point out that this is an exellent plot, thanks! And I think the first Doc would be that happy about talking about his age, he might make a crack about it tho, or his planet so easily, even then.

I liked this. I love Ian and Barbara! They're my favorite classic companions I have yet to see (and that's not many since I've only seen Susan, Ian, Barbara, and Vikki). I thought Jack was a bit quick to realize Ian was his son, but the idea of it was great. Jack best go and visit his aging son. I wonder if that means Ian's immortal?

Just a small note, but One met Vikki in "The Rescue," which is the episode right after "The Dalek Invasion of Earth." "The Chase" is Ian and Barbara's last episode (which I am currently watching). It's nothing major, but I thought I'd point it out to you.

this is wonderful - intelligent and funny. you've done a good job with your characterizations and (myself being a jack fan) i love your captain (love this line: "That's what happens when you put two equally large egos in the same room.").

you're very talented! i know it sounds silly but your grammar is excellent (bad grammar will turn me off more than anything else).

and a beautiful and poignant last line. i liked the way you ended it. sometimes, i believe, in endings "less is more" and this is i think perfect.

This was a lovely little idea for a Multi-Doctor fic, and since the First Doctor is one of my favourites I'm pleased to see you've got his personality down to a tee. Also lughed out loud at the concept of Jack being Ian's daddy. Of course you realise that when Ian and Barbra had a kid after their TARDIS travels, he became a rock star who was idolised by Peri and ended up marrying Tegan... oh, what a tangled web them companions weave.

One slight niggle... you have the First Doctor POV as between 'Invasion Earth' and 'Chase', but being a regular Who Nerd I happen to know that Vicki was introduced in 'The Rescue', and that 'The Chase' was Ian and Barbara's last story, funny enough which also had the Daleks in it.

Anyway, I'd agree with Sunfall, I'd love to see a sequel involving Torchwood. :)

You should write Ian and Barbara's reaction to Torchwood. This is a lot of fun.
