Author has written 10 stories for Beka Cooper series, Song of the Lioness, Inuyasha, Mediator, Rise of the Guardians, Six of Crows, and Frozen. My Fanfics: Dream Rose: Vrinday Kayu was said to have killed herself in the mage's prison, but they didn't know that it was only a potion to make her look like she was dead, completely undetectable by any means. After her escape she waits a few years, planning, plotting, gathering resources, before enacting her horrible plan of revenge on an unsuspecting Beka. Beka finds herself sold as a slave and taking care of the Prince of Tortall, heading for Scanra. It takes all of Rosto's wit and Pounce's help to find her and when they do something terrible happens that no one would have expected. Includes Rosto's family. This one is the only of my fics to have multiple chapters. It's a lot better than it sounds, Vrinday is not the only enemy of Beka's, and Rosto's. Blind Sight: While some people long to have the Sight or at least a whisper of the Gift, Nettle would trade her powerful Sight for a chance to see something, anything other than the impenatrable nothing that comsumes her vision. Blind since birth, Nettle has used her Sight to make up for her disability. She hates that she has to use it as a crutch in order to survive. Her nomadic lifestyle as a traveling acrobat among a group of Players isn't always fun and easy. If Dogs Could Talk: A mixture of modern and feudal, this story takes place at the Feudal Private School owned and run by the Higurashi family. Kagome is a junior at the school and she stands out more than she wants to. She's a demon hunter with a fearsome spirtual power but at the same time student counselor. She has to juggle all these responsiblities and deal with her frequent premonitions that can knock her out for hours at a time. Hours before she's to welcome the new transfer student she has a very ominous premonition that threatens her home. The transfer student, her best friend Shippo, and distant swordswoman, Nakura, help her to track down this beast before it can strike. Kagome hopes they can kill it in time... What Comes After Sunset: Cerri is an ambassador. Sent to Galla by Queen Thayet and King Jonanthan, she is to greet the newly enthroned Queen Talis. Unfortunately, this Queen has it in her mind to conquer and first on her list is Tortall. And what better way to declare war than to sentence Tortall's seventeen year old embassador to death? Queen Talis locks intelligent but scared Cerri up in prison with a very hungry griffin so awaiting a public execution. What Queen Talis doesn't realize is that there is something that Cerri fears more than her impending death. What she fears is exposure to something that messes with her sanity, makes her mind turn to fire if the light of it touches her. The moon. I won't spoil the rest but there will be a boy...a very lovely boy who looks quite handsome in uniform...Adding this one to my poll. Oneshots: Rosto and the Haircut: Oneshot. Self explanatory. The breakfast group finds that Rosto's pale blond hair has grown way too long, mostly due to Rosto's vainess. He probably considers it a waste when he has to cut his hair. Rosto tries to protest when the group corners him with scissors but then Beka uses Rosto's infatuation with her against him, unintentionally, and Rosto sucks up his pride long enough to get his hair cut. The Best Part Of Me: Inuyasha oneshot. Most people avoid thinking about this part of Inuyasha and Kagome's future. Inuyasha is a half-demon and he will live for centuries, but Kagome is only human and she has an ordinary lifespan. The time has finally come for Kagome and Inuyasha sit by her bedside struggling to accept the inevitable. Sad, I know, and it's my first ever tradgedy. Please read and review! Have not written yet: Please vote for the one you would like me to write first. It helps me decide because I find that I like them all and can't decide for myself =P Saving a Memory: In the works but not up yet. In short, it's set about three to four hundred years after the Alanna series and all them. Cassidy is the caretaker of the memorial tombs of the heroes of old and their decendants. Her parents, the caretakers before her, died of the Sweating Sickness when she was ten, the sickness being a side effect of all the magical wards and spells that seem to radiate from the very marble of this, for the most part, forgotten tomb. Spellbound and unable to leave the weathered memorial, she decides to do everything she can to protect it from the invading Scanran and Tusaine armies that draw ever closer. Cass cannot expect assistance, for the kingdom no longer cares for heroes that cannot help them, but when she finds a deserter in Tusaine uniform in her garden, she wonders if he will be her salvation, or her doom...With his help, will she be able to save a memory? Skin: A new Beka/Rosto modern fic that I came up with based off the song 'Skin' by Rascal Flatts. Beka is a senior in high school training with Clary and Mattes, two of Morgantown, West Virginia's most valuable police officers, to become an officer herself after community college. She loves her town and wants to protect it, the origin of her career choice. That's not the only reason though, after her mother was murdered by an abusive boyfriend, her four siblings had been kidnapped with Beka the only one who could save them. She did. Through Beka's bravery, her and her siblings were adopted by Police Chief Gershom and his wife, the social queen, Mrs. Teodorie Gershom. Everything is well and good until the balance of her life is upset one day when a new guy arrives in town, Rosto the Piper. He gets his nickname from the instrument he plays in his band 'The Rogue'. Members include: Aniki and Kora, the vocalists, Brian Bold on guitar, Katie Reed on drums, and Rosto, of course, on his pipes. She thinks this new guy is stalking her, what else could explain why he always seems to be at the place she is? She thinks he's dangerous, but might there be more to this handsome, pale blond, than meets the eye? The Royal Cook: A much harder job then most people would think, Maybelline has always dreamed of cooking for royalty and she certainly has the talent. When a royal guest visits the tavern she works at, she doesn't realize this could be more dangerous than just a normal dinner. What's May supposed to do when someone decides to try to poison the food and tie her up? Show them how accurately she throws butcher's knives, that's what. This could be just the chance May is looking for. A Gang with Noble Intentions: Lorella runs aways from an arranged marriage with her 40-year-old uncle and using her unusual array of talents, starts a gang in the Lower City that is different from any other. Why start a gang? Who would think a noble like Lory would give up her rich lifestyle to command a bunch of thieves in the dirtiest part of Corus? That's what makes it a perfect disguise. Her motley crew may be on a little on the shady side but their loyalty is undying. They protect the people from the new, power abusive, Rogue. A backalley war that could change the entirety of Corus ensues... High School to Hay Bales: A crossover fic. Madison lives in a world where supernatural abilities are the norm and your ability determines your social status. Maddy's ability is changing sunlight into either energy for healing, or channel it out and heat a room to the point of spontaneous combustion. Usually an ability like hers could get you real far up the social ladder but due to the fact that almost everyone at her school has plant based abilities they find her conncection to sunlight something to be taken advantage of. On the first day of highschool, Maddy gets directions from a helpful junior. She counts the doors like the junior tells her to but she arrives at a door labled '7057411' (Tortall in number form). Maddy knows something is up, especially when she opens the door to find it pitch black. As she takes a step in to find the light switch her foot doesn't hit any kind of floor. In a panic she releases all the sunlight she's collected, setting herself on fire, without being burned, and accomplishing virtually nothing except...attracting the attention of our favorite Lady Knight, Kel. Gifted Swords: Savanna is the daughter of a powerful mage, but one nobody has ever met besides herself and her mother. Thinking that she is hideous she hides in a forest, deep in the Grimhold Mountains. Her father has different reasons for her seclusion that Savanna knows but doesn't care about. If a neighboring country or even Tortall got hold of the one of kind swords that she makes they would stop at nothing to have her for themselves. But what happens when an army moving towards the Scanran border camps near her forest? Do they hear the ring of metal as Anna shapes her enchanted swords on her anvil? What happens when someone comes to investigate? What if this person was the second prince of Tortall? What would you do if you thought someone was trying to steal from or kidnap you? Anna would try to kill them, of course, before they see her face. The Vine Duet: Lyri is a divine singer, the voice of a goddess her mother tells her. Lyri doesn't care how she sounds, she just likes to sing. She's the only one who visits an abandoned temple structure, most believe it to be haunted. Why would a young girl visit such a dark place? To sing in a place where her voice echoes off the walls and she can feel the notes of her songs in her bones is the innocent answer. As she visits her favorite place in the Lower City one day, she discovers too late that she wasn't the only inhabitant. The men that catch her had heard her voice and men like that would do anything to make a copper. That includes kidnapping a talented fourteen-year-old girl to sell her voice in Tyra. All hope is not lost for Lyri, however, for she's not the only captive. This boy, two years older than her, might be able to help her escape. Problem is, he's lame. He can barely walk on his twisted leg but with a cane the slavers have a use for him. Lyri has to find out what these slavers are making him do before she can convince him to escape, but she wonders if she wants to know... Anime Sonnet By Jessica Gonzalez-Wu (Doesn't she have the awesomest last name ever?) Anime is awesome and amazing. Japanese cartoons running all about. On their adventures that are exciting. It is entertaining without a doubt. The main character is always the hero. They can never be obliterated. Never are they portrayed as a zero. This shouldn’t need to be reiterated. They will always obtain the greatest prize. Being that they seem superhuman. Fighting with a weapon that’s twice their size. While eating a bowl of tasty ramen. Anime is a root of obsession. So it must be watched with much discretion. |
