Hello, I guess. You can call me Dr_Lovekill, mad scientist extraordinare, paranormal investigator, Civil War cavalry Lieutenant, prepper, ex-scientist, weapons collector, military historian, ex-security guard, writer and all around random guy.

Now, a little about myself: I am a certified parapsychologist, and have an honorary doctor of cryptozoology and ufology, and I'm getting ready to work on my doctorate in metaphysics. I used to run one of the largest privately funded paranormal science research labs in Texas. Now, I run a museum of the strange and unusual in Kentucky.

I'm a Civil War reenactor. If you wish to address me by my rank, at reenactments, I go by 1st Lt. Drake, 12th Texas Cavalry. I portray a Confederate cavalry officer, and my great-great grandfather, Colonel William Henry Parsons raised and commanded the 12th Texas Cavalry during the Civil War. Here's a bio on my historical portrayal:

Name: 1st Lt. Drake. Just Drake. No questions asked.

Command: Squad commander of G troop, 12th Texas Cavalry. My squad specializes in guard detail, provost duty and during battle, swift dismounted attacks to the enemy flank and rear, and rear guard/delayng actions. The latter usually gets me 'killed' in the battles.

Home: Fort Gates/Gatesville, Texas

Past Occupation: Texas Ranger, 2nd US Dragoons.

Simply put, I currently live in Eastern Kentucky. I lived in Texas for a while. I left Texas, but Texas never left me. I'd like to move back one day. TEXAS!

How old am I? Probably too old to be watching MLP and trying to be an idealist. Heheh.

What do I look like? Humanize Drake and add a 'stache and a goatee, and you can pretty well guess. Down to the stetson with the cavalry sabers.

I am Descended on my father's side from Col. William Henry Parsons, CSA, commander of the 12th Texas cavalry. He was a fiery, bulldog of a soldier, and once took two regiments of cavalry against a Federal Ironclad. One of his sons was cavalry on the frontier, his son was cav in WW1, his son was cav under Patton in WW2, his son was Special Forces in Viet Nam, attached to the Air Cav. Long line of horsemen, huh? If you ain't cav, you're hoofing it.

On my mother's side, I am a descendant of John Harrington, the gent who, in 1596, invented the quasi-modern concept of a flushable toilet, and was promptly kicked out of England because it terrified the queen. Thomas Crapper got all the credit, but Harrington did in fact invent the toilet a full 300 years earlier. A crappy little family history, there.

My favorite bands are Third Eye Blind,My Chemical Romance, Green Day, and Matchbox 20. My favorite movies are nearly anything supernatural or Sci-Fi, as long as it's believable (I like Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind, War of the Worlds, Dog Soldiers, and Jurassic Park, to name a few).

I used to be a big Invader Zim fan, as you can tell from my works, but about a year ago, I discovered My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic. Oddly enough, now I have a rack of weapons, and a shelf of MLP collectibles in the same house, a testament to my strange nature, I guess. I've been without a computer for a year now, and so I've amassed over a dozen MLP fanfics that just need to be typed out and posted. I will be doing so over the next year, and probably garnishing my MLP fics with a side of The Walking Dead fics, and maybe some Gravity Falls fics. I may even attempt a few more crossovers, as I've always been good at them.

A good deal of my stories may contain alot of scientific terminology, theories, and technical jargon, and I admit that to some readers unfamiliar with science, my works may seem just as incomprehensible as trying to read Michael Crichton. I'm also a cynical, pessimistic doomsayer of the worst caliber, with the intelligence to back up my claims that chaos and instability are inevitabilities in every facet of life. I try to mirror this in my stories as well.

As you will see, the majority of my MLP fics contain or center around my OC, Lieutenant Drake. FOr those of you interested in such things, I wish to include a bio of Drake. He's not really a particularly powerful, standout character, and mirrors my strengths and weaknesses nearly perfectly. Like me, he's usually just a random dude who finds himself in the right place at the right time, or at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Friends: None really. He has a professional rivalry with E.B.I. Agent Rusty Shackleford, a fairly close professional relationship with Princess Celestia. Luna is the closest thing to a friend Drake has, but has a crush on him that Drake constantly acts oblivious to, and attempts to downplay. He respects Luna, and enjoys her companionship, but has no romantic feelings toward her. His long-time rivalry with Shining Armor began in Military Academy, and isn't genuine animosity, but simply the rivalry between two soldiers who constantly try to outdo one another.
