Author has written 31 stories for McLeod’s Daughters, Gilmore Girls, Lie to Me, Parenthood, Private Practice, Grey's Anatomy, Rizzoli & Isles, and Lost Girl. Time for a new note on my profile. I've recently entered the world of Tumblr, so feel free to follow me (authorstune) for updates to my fics as well as links to the occasional one shot that isn't appropriate for this site. Message or PM me at any time. :-) And thanks for reading my hobby - I hope you enjoy them a little! In a previous life, I was 'Hay' on fanfiction.net and on a couple of Charmed fanfic forums. That was when I first started to write and well, my writing ability left a lot to be desired! But these days, I still love writing as much as I did ten years ago. I live in Australia and since I also have a bit of a passion for travelling and financial security (the bank appreciates my mortgage payments), I work a few jobs, all of which pay me well enough to feed my lifestyle! :-) I tend to only write fanfic when I really get into the characters on a show and generally it's a specific couple that I enjoy characterising or particular friendships or dynamics that I can extend and play with. And I also tend to write more when my own life is a bit off the rails, so long cheery stories are a bit hard to find in my fics. Although I do love oneshot random stories that explore more comic and lighthearted topics. I also write original pieces but they tend not to be published anywhere...they're for me. :-) I am seldom found far from my trusty journal although I'm frequently searching my handbag for pens that work. Why is it, that pens just disappear? Like odd socks in the laundry. And I do have a particular fondness for fine point only - my pens, not socks. Not the point, I encourage anyone and everyone to carry a notebook with them everywhere - who hasn't felt compelled to comment on something that they see unexpectedly, that just takes their breath away? And let's face it, a 'note' on a phone just doesn't carry the same therapeutic benefit as a tattered and thoroughly used notebook. Anyway, I thought it was time to add a blurb to my profile page. Next time you're in some deserted town or random bookstore in the middle of nowhere - check out their notebook section and let me know what wonderfully different style you've managed to lay your hands on... And for those who are interested, the grammatical error in my profile name is because fanfiction.net doesn't allow apostrophes. And it came from a short poem I wrote in 2005, which describes my absolute appreciation for the written word. May the words be taken (c) Hay 2005 Cheers, Author's Tune |
