![]() Author has written 18 stories for Heroes, Harry Potter, Lord of the Flies, A Clockwork Orange, Patriot, Misc. Movies, and Fallout. 3/6/09 -- I have decided to clear my bio/profile thingie and start anew here. 9/23/09 -- Minor updates. Reaffirming that I suck at finishing stories. As of right now, I blame that my old desktop had all of my files for LIOTP and ROW so there's nothing I can do until I can purchase a new monitor - I'm on my laptop at the moment. 3/8/10 -- Still no monitor. Still no old files. Still no updates. Also, school. Also, I work at a game store so I get distracted by shiny new releases that I get to borrow. 8/19/10 -- Vacation, wisdom teeth extraction, then fall semester. Good luck getting anything done soon. New Fallout story in the works. Another Charon-centric, of course. 10/14/11 -- It has come time -- and long overdue -- that I should reinvent myself yet again. 7/22/12 -- I will break this damn habit of not following through, so help me god. Kick me in the ass on TitDL. Berate me until I post more. I am a female adult (at least in that I'm old enough to buy booze), of the student-type. I like minimalism, clever word selection, and to see something different. Fic Comments and Commentary: (I think I'll try to do this from now on) Shards of Broken Glass: To tell the truth, I wrote half of it drunk off my ass on a rich syrah. Apparently it worked out well. The raw reality of intimacy has been on my mind recently, and it seems that anything besides happy, perfect sex is rare in fanfiction, and to some extent, fiction in general. Reality is more striking to me. It permeates deeper than idealized, pretty lovemaking and I find that if we can truly relate to that moment on a base, emotional or sensory level, the piece is going to resonate more than a satisfying, comfy fantasy. This is the Dead Land: I have a 'fill in the blanks' problem. Now upwards of 30,000 words, and it's spaced out through the entire story so that I have to fill in blanks between important events. Why do I write like a douche? Anyway, I still have it in my head that it's missing something progressive, though I suppose it's more of a character study than a revolutionary plot. Please review with any helpful or critical comments. If you want more in depth / random / derpy commentary from me, follow my author tumblr @ http:/// Projects in the works or conception: -I am indeed working on a long LW/Charon for the Fallout fans, but I've promised myself I won't post until I'm finished since, as you can see, I tend to crap out easily. It seems to be working well -- I'm currently at over 20,000 words and perhaps one third through. Check back for updates. (10/20/11) I'm just kind of less enamored of it at the moment. Since I began it a year ago, I feel like there's nothing really new to offer. It's pretty straightforward. I'm not feeling the lack of progression, but I'm still working on it. (7/22/12, now 'This is the Dead Land', see above) -Perhaps something a little more Vulpes for those who are so inclined. (10/20/11) Hit this hard last night. Sex, political intrigue, philosophy, and historical references abound. -Something in the Death Note vein, though I'm less than thrilled with yet another OC insertion, even if it's canon-friendly and fairly intelligent, which it must be if L is involved. Thought of a fun new game. Try to guess which stories on the Fallout kinkmeme are mine - see if you can guess by style or detail. PM me if you want to make a guess. |
