Author has written 4 stories for Mass Effect, Breaking Bad, John Wick, and Daily Life with a Monster Girl/モンスター娘のいる日常. Updated 3/10/2018 Thanks to everyone for stopping by, and for reading! I also wanted to thank everyone who leaves a review or follows/favorites. Feedback (both good and not-good) helps me to improve. (Insert standard fanfic disclaimer here: I don't own any of these characters or stories, no copyright intended or implied, yadda yadda. Thanks to the Bioware and John Wick writers for giving us such great sandboxes to play in!) Long Black Road (John Wick & Mass Effect Crossover) I started this one just before John Wick 2 or 3 came out. It was a little idea, similar to 'Tango 'Til They're Sore': How would John Wick fare in the ME universe? I wasn't sure what to make the second sub-genre. I originally had it as 'angst' but I settled on 'crime' since there isn't a choice for 'John Wick shoots everybody in the face'. This story takes place in same ME universe as 'Tango' because that's the only way I can keep it all straight in my head. There will be at least a little bit of interaction between the two story lines, and I have a rough idea of how it's going to end. Also, if anybody's seen JW 2 or 3. then you know there are a few...complications that arise in those movies that I'm going to choose to ignore for my story. Those who have seen it know what I'm talking about. Tango 'Til They're Sore Finally completed, and I'm now going through and doing edits of spelling goofs and whatnot. Tango 'Til They're Sore was the first fanfiction I've ever written. I've been an aspiring writer for many years, and have done lots of 'fragments' of stories. I started Tango as a lark, just a little ditty about how exactly the engineering staff of the Normandy would have to deal with Jack on a regular basis. And then it kind of...got away from me. 280,000 words later, and I had a whole lot more than a 'little ditty'. And a completed story to boot. The story as written assumes familiarity with the game's storyline. There are many missions and events from the game that are alluded to but not described in detail. As a side note, for all Ken/Gabby fans out there, I should tell you that Gabby doesn't appear in this story. I figured it wouldn't be fair to her, since this Engineer Donnelly is very different from the character in the game. I had a couple of goals for this story: Properly Develop the Jack vs. Cerberus Conflict Mass Effect 2 has, for my money, one of the most emotionally powerful stories I've ever seen in a game. However, one of the things I always struggled with in the ME2 story was Jack's background, and how it threw Cerberus into a whole new light. After Jack's loyalty mission, the organization stopped being just 'wacky mad scientist' evil and became something much darker. I wasn't entirely satisfied with the game's way of handling it ("Just a rogue cell, nothing to see here!") and I wanted to really flesh out how discovering the Teltin facility would fundamentally change the relationship between the crew of the Normandy and Cerberus. This conflict covers the first half of the story. Try To Keep The Reapers In The Story The Collectors are good villains, but their introduction into ME2 really does kind of veer the storyline off from the overall Reaper threat. I want to try to explore more how the Collectors' plan to make a [BIG HONKING ENDGAME SPOILER REDACTED] will help the Reapers come in and do their reapin'. I also want to make Shepard and the Normandy more proactive in fighting the Collectors, instead of waiting around for TIMmy to tell them where to go. As a minor goal, I also wanted to get rid of the 'Cutscene Power To The Max' trope. Especially with regards to Jack, who's even mentioned by name in the leading quote on that particular TVTropes page. If Jack can take out three huge mechs on her own, then she should be able to make mincemeat out of any normal, more 'squishy' foe. How She Met His Mother A story set after "Tango'. This isn't a true 'ME 3' type sequel, more of an interlude. It is just intended as a silly and fluffy bit of nonsense. Of Mike and MON (Monster Musume & Breaking Bad Crossover) I have no excuse for this one. I get weird ideas sometimes, and the idea of a grizzled hard-ass like Mike Ehrmantraut having to deal with a bunch of girly anime nonsense makes me giggle. Yes, I am easily amused. Intended as a one-shot unless there's a huge demand for more. |
