Yes, I'm back. With a new modified name, new outlook, new attitude and maybe, mad writing skills. We'll see if any of it's good.

We'll reintroduce myself by saying, first, that my favorite color is blue and I like most animals - especially the furry kind. English is my native language, although, not the only one.

I'm working hard to work, to contribute to the community, and to search out life adventures - as I've had many. Favorite anime? It's hard to say, but I watch just because I love stories and story-telling. I think I'm more interested now than maybe 20 years ago only because I have a niece that loves manga and anime stories. I help filter to mom and daughter the "good ones" that I like and expect them both to have their own opinions after hearing my analysis of the rare ones that I watch.

Sometimes I will write a review; other times, not so much. That said, I still appreciate reviews and the love readers give. And when I say "the love", I don't derive pleasure from creepy, weird and unsolicited messages that infer or blatantly state the desire to include me in promiscuous debauchery. Please keep my inbox overflowing with useful messages. Like for instance, if I "favorite" an author or story or take the time to write a review or to PM the author, and the response is "thank you" or something considerate, then by all means, those are the kinds of PMs welcome.

I have a pet peeve. It is not a minimalist nature or thought. So, here goes, because I do feel strongly about this. In this computer age, I know that there are youngsters trying to make sense of the world: good and evil and all those colorful moments in between. Be conscientious on any of the chats and forums, as I know that there are child predators out there in chats and PMs using their anonymous pen names to "hunt" down victims seeking to do depraved things to them after searching for an open. I, for one, don't condone this sort of behavior. It is hurtful to children and neglectful of parents or guardians to let down their guards on the internet, believing that a site seems ok. I know, I know.

Responsibility and tyranny are two different things. Be responsible for your own actions on these sites and if you are a decent lad or lass, then by all means, leave the kids alone (except correct them when nothing useful has come from a PM or review or something like that); HOWEVER, as the saying goes, "If you see something; say something." That is what the FBI is for: to stop huge trafficking and child sex/porn rings. Not a fun job, but if all the world was peachy and rosy, then child predators would cease to exist altogether. Saving children takes time and effort, and undoing damage frequently takes longer than if something were avoided or stomped out in its existence entirely. As Gram used to say, "An ounce of prevention beats a pound of cure."

Believe it!

Moving on from this, the most recent anime that I am watching on and off, as I have time:

Titania - a space age renaissance of lords, ladies and an accidental "hero" opposing the reigning empire.

Library Wars - books confiscated by a censorship police force and the red tape the opposing forces use to acquire and re-aquire the written words of various authors and poets. (Hm. This sounds and looks familiar to me in real life - not that I want it to happen, eh?)

Say I Love You - a coming of age romance set in high school. I suspect other things, but its a sweet one season love affair that could have continued longer, but I did not make the rules for that one.

Romeo and Juliet - most of us are familiar with Shakespeare's version; meet Juliet as a fem-hero (yay, girl power!) who is searching out a solution to save her citizens as her family recovers to defend her while she brings hope to the people. Lots of love here and really, there could have been so many possibilities... thus, fan fiction!

Snow White With the Red Hair - main female character has red hair; there's a ton of action and as far as I remember, no tragic ending. Unless I just did not get all the way through and there were more seasons that I missed than I recall.

InuyashaEdo period piece with mythical dog demons and a time traveling miko from modern era Tokyo. All out to save the world in past Japan making sure the present doesn't get destroyed in the process. (*IF* you aren't familiar with this one, we can thank creator, Rumiko Takahashi, for introducing me to Japanese sword fighting and culture as a whole. I'm crediting this one's popularity with getting me started in anime films and also Sueric and Resmiranda for the fan fiction many, many moons ago. I'm also crediting them with engaging characters that opened me up to pursuing martial arts and the Japanese language. I don't know it well, but I do appreciate the effort and work that goes into translation).

Hetalia - history of world events on crack, namely the personification of countries on earth, from the view point of Japan. Sooo many possibilities. Always short and sweet in the anime, but I love reading the fan fiction stories that elongate the view points from other people's perspectives. I especially am fond of the Hungary-Japan relationship. Just saying. I know it's complex to explore, but anyone who has any ideas to navigate that relationship - and do it well - will have complete respect from me and oh yes, a new reader and possibly more reviews than normal from Jasmine-Fields-1979 (me!).

Naruto - Shinobi. Ninja. War and peace. Crushing and smashing up people and peoples' hearts, the mangling of bodies and the formation of deep friendships. I love Hinata in the anime - in particular, as she grows older; in fan fiction, we can credit College-n-Curls for hooking me on the Sasuke/Hinata pairing. Or Jortalus. One of them had me first; the other has me won over completely.

Anime I'm curious about watching but will likely take a while just to open my browser to stream them, especially since I prefer reading fan fiction after only familiarizing myself with the main plot points in the anime:

RWBYLoving the possibility of girl power here.

Bleach - I probably should have already seen it by now; I'll get around to it... maybe.
