Poll: My story "Pieces in a Pocket" has grown to enormous size & is nowhere near finished, so my question is this: Should I, lowly story slave, continue to post as I write it OR should I take the time, finish the monster, and post it only after it is complete? Vote Now!

Author has written 45 stories for Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Beetlejuice, StarTrek: Voyager, Heroes, Labyrinth, Magic School Bus, Beetlejuice, Lost Boys, Smallville, Ben 10, Inception, and Big Bang Theory. About me: Female. Short (hence the "wee"). Born mid-'80s. Hate clowns and most things from the '80s, barring a few people and some cheesetastic movies. Selectively social. I love to read. I love to write but I'm sometimes afraid to share it with others. I'm getting better about that, thanks to the many kind people that read my stuff. I try to review everything I read on this site, but goodness it's a lot to do. I ~still~ have an LJ account to cross post stuff to (lots of the extras on my stories and the stories I don't post here). About this account: I have had this account a long-ish time now. I only decided to post any of my stuff after I got a lot of encouragement and friendship from another writer. Thanks always to her. (Though I don't know that everyone would thank her for unleashing me on an unsuspecting internet.) Eventually I'll cross post to AO3. About my stories: I have written in many fandoms- Beetlejuice, Buffy, Heroes, Labyrinth, Voyager, etc. I'm considering playing in more sandboxes, but I always seem to come back to Beetlejuice. I have several dozen small scenes, drabbles, one-shots, and stories that are started, but I will finish Pieces. About my readings: I read whatever catches my attention. Mostly I just like odd pairings, especially the ones where the "bad guy" gets love, they make me squee. I'm always open to recommendations. About my addiction to reviews: I really appreciate reviews, and I respond to them all individually if possible (if you're anon I can't contact you, sorry, but I do appreciate you). Any feedback is appreciated: good, bad, or indifferent (I've gotten indifferent reviews, very weird). Prompts: Feel free to throw a story prompt my way if you would like to. Writing one-shot or drabble stories actually helps me clear out space for larger works. UPDATE (10/27/11): Hi. The time has come once again for my 13 Posts/Days of Halloween! I'm intending to post 3 stories a day until Halloween and then just one update that's long overdue. Happy Halloween to one and all. I hope you all get candy by the handful and only the good kind of surprises. Thank you so much to everyone who read and reviewed while I was away, means a lot to me. And if you are doing NaNoWriMo this year I'd love to hear about it, the more the merrier. Also, I didn’t think this needed to be said, but please don’t use my stories as a place to advertise your own unless you have my permission. That’s pretty not cool, especially if you diss me to do so. If you would like me to rec your story, please send me a PM and we can talk about it. Hope this doesn’t come off as rude, but this popped up and I would not like to deal with it again. Thank you. Update 11/20/15: Trying to get back into the swing of things, but it's slow going. After this month (curse that NaNoWriMo) I'll be trying to get something going again. So uh, watch this space I guess. (And I'm so sorry I haven't been answering reviews, but I had writer's/poster's block so bad I couldn't even respond. They were all appreciated though. *hugs*) |
