Guten Abend! Danke für Ihren Besuch! Ich heiße BlueMilagro... Okay, so, I'm not a native German speaker. :) Let's start with English, shall we? It is, after all, what I write in. :)

What I said, and want to say, is:

Hello! Thanks for visiting. My name is BlueMilagro and I looooove to write. :) My adoration of fanfiction, specifically, originally stemmed from my severely irrevocable love of filmmaking, and I wrote my first fanfic in 1999 at the age of fourteen. It was about Star Wars; that was the year Episode I came out, and my fanfic, regarding the reunion between Obi-Wan Kenobi and his long-lost kid sister, was TERRIBLE. But it was a start, and that's what counts. I started writing and never looked back. Fast forward another fourteen years, and here I am, with two screenplays under my belt and aspirations of being a screenwriter. I've never fooled myself into believing I was anything special -- while my writing is admittedly good -- excellent, in fact -- I will say I've read other fanfics on this site that have been so good they've made me hate my own work and wonder what in the h* I'm even doing with my life. That's just the knee-jerk, though: those stories are the fire that fuels me to be an even better writer, myself. You Sherlock fans will go read "Alone On the Water" by MadLori and know what I'm talking about ("Sure. *sobs* Fine. *wails* I didn't need my heart, anyway. Just take it. Take it and douse it in petrol and set it on fire and eat it, for Chrissakes.")

So I adore films. That's clear. :) And below, you'll find my Top Five list of all time favourite films, for those interested. My favourite actor is Gary Oldman, although I also greatly admire the works of many others, as well; Benedict Cumberbatch, outside of being one of my top three biggest celeb crushes EVER, is an AMAZING actor, and I see him really going places. Jeffrey Combs is another actor I'm just crazy about. He is one of the most remarkable actors of our time, and he is just horribly under-appreciated, in my opinion. If you ever have a chance to see him on stage as Edgar Alan Poe, take it from me -- DO IT!! It was the best night of my life, and when it was over, I got the rare opportunity to meet him; I can tell you he is one of the SWEETEST men I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, and I can't wait to see more of his work.

Anyway, back to films: I also love classic old films, the black and white ones where every single little thing -- from the sets to the costumes to the mise en scene to the actors and the way they move and even the way they deliver their lines -- everything is a symphony to me and it's like watching a sunset. Warm and familiar and beautiful.

(But Miss Milagro, who are your other two celeb crushes? You mentioned Benedict Cumberbatch as one. Who are the others? Robert Downey Jr and Hans Matheson, in case you were wondering. :P)

Music is a gigantic inspiration to me. I am an incredibly visual person, and music fires my imagination, so when I hear a song with music or lyrics that really remind me of something from a story I'm working on, it sticks with me. I create whole playlists dedicated to each story, and these "soundtracks" are an integral part of my story-writing process. And I love sharing this with you. :) In many of my stories you'll find I've done just the same; at the end of each chapter I'll leave tiny notes with songs and things, if applicable, for you to check out, if the mood strikes you.

Lastly, there is one thing I'd like to mention. I really would be more than happy to add you on Facebook, if you'd like, but if so, please PM me and I will give you the necessary info. My one request is that, when you send me the friend request, please make a note in there about this website. "Hey, I'm a reader on FF.N!" I tend to delete friend requests of people I don't immediately recognize, unless they remind me. You know, safety precautions. :D Thanks!

Before we get on to lists and such, I'd like to use this section for

UPCOMING STORY NEWS!! :)
DECEMBER 2013
I HAVE FANTASTIC NEWS!!!!! I just finished the Scavenger Bride and I just can't believe it. Two and a half godforsaken years on this piece... Now all I need to do is edit, and we will be good to go!!!! I cannot WAIT to have you read it!!! :D

September 2013
I'd like to take a moment to address the handful of people who've been begging me for a sequel to my Reanimator fanfic, "Uninvited." Firstly, I would like to tell you that there really aren't enough THANK YOU'S!!! in this world. I started writing a sequel in the summer of 2011 and I am STILL WORKING ON THIS LITTLE SO-AND-SO. I dont' think it's ever taken me this long to complete a story. A few months? Oh, yeah, you betcha. But it's NEVER taken more than a year. This story has really gotten me. And I can tell you now, with absolute certainty, that this story is SO CLOSE TO COMPLETION, IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY. I had some MAJOR hurdles I had to jump through regarding this story, but tonight, I made a huuuuuuge breakthrough, and we're approaching the climax of this story. So it is tonight I am releasing the title and brief synopsis... Coming soon from BlueMilagro, we will have the sequel to "Uninvited," which is entitled "The Scavenger Bride!"

Synopsis: "When you're a dealer of death, you need to be prepared for it to follow you wherever you go. After all, one must know the product they sell……" Medical Examiner Imogen Phillips, the only person Herbert West fully and completely trusts, works with her partner against a slew of threats that, when built together, could threaten to not only destroy Herbert's work, but the life they've created for themselves….. and the enigmatic Herbert West is finally introduced to someone who proves to him that life truly can be created from nothing.
I am so excited to introduce this story to you; I am so proud of it because it has really drained me. Herbert West is quite possibly THE MOST DIFFICULT character I have ever written. Even now, I question every action he makes in my story. In "Uninvited," he made sense. And he makes sense in "The Scavenger Bride," as well; but this story, as it currently stands, is at approximately 120 pages, as opposed to the mere four in "Uninvited." So, eventually, it began to write itself. And, through the trust he has in Imogen, Herbert has been able to really evolve in front of me. My biggest fear is that I will get him wrong. You'll have to tell me what you think. :)

Top Five Favourite Films of All Time:
1. Star Wars (Return of the Jedi is my fave of the trilogy)
2. Bedknobs and Broomsticks (Angela Landsbury!)
3. The Big Lebowski (MARK IT ZERO)
4. The Artist (2012 Best Picture Winner)
5. Little Women (1994/ Winona Ryder version)

I don't necessarily have a top five in terms of those old black and whites I mentioned, but:
Here are my top five that have really burrowed deep:
1. Casablanca
2. Arsenic and Old Lace
3. Mildred Pierce
4. Goodbye, Mr Chips
5. The Cranes Are Flying (SO FREAKING SAD, UGH)

Here are some fandoms I freak out over:
Sherlock
Doctor Who
Harry Potter
Star Wars
Star Trek
Once Upon a Time
Law & Order (SVU is my fave, hands down)
Simon Pegg/ Nick Frost films
Indiana Jones
Back to the Future
'80s cult gore/comedy fests (aka Reanimator, Evil Dead, etc. Essentially, if it has Bruce Campbell or Jeffrey Combs in it, I am on it like white on rice.)
X-Men (I am shamefully and admittedly more into the movies currently, although the comics are AWESOME)
And a slew of others I can't quite remember currently.

If you've made it this far in my profile, Ghads above, you rock. :D Again, thank you so much for stopping by. If you find something you like, I would LOVE a review, it would really mean a lot to me!

Tchüss,
BlueMilagro
