Author has written 2 stories for Ranma, and Inuyasha. Hello! This is Raven and you have entered my mind! -Beware of any thoughts and opinions that I have randomly thrown throughout my account. I kinda like to use this profile as an almost blog...at least in relation to fanfiction. I am an eighteen year old college student (gasp! when did that happen? I know all those 'old people' say it goes by quickly, but TRUST ME - it really does) in an obscure little midwestern town, a bit farther away from my old, obscure, little midwestern town, lol. I am, infact, a girl (as you can probably tell from my writing. ha.) I have many siblings, and it's a wonder that I ever get time to write at all because someone is always hogging our lone computer...like I am right now. Since going to college I came to the realization that I have even less time, due to readings, papers, and other "recreational" activities that are available on college campuses. Definitely not drinking, or anything like that... Which brings me to my next point: I am sticking to writing oneshots for the time being because I just don't have time to do much between school, sports, and my family. If you have read some of my other things you will know that I attempted to write a full-length story, but it fell through...or rather it crashed, burned, etc. Maybe if I go far, far away to college I'll have more time to write...yeah...not likely. I've also come to another realization in the last year or so: I am not such a fan of anime anymore. I think I just became bored with it, or outgrew it, found better things...or something. But every once in awhile I get into an anime mood, and may watch a little Ranma or Fushigi Yugi for old times sake, but it really doesn't thrill me. Interestingly enough, though, I do still enjoy a good fanfiction, even though I no longer enjoy the actual show...hm...figure that out. But on the downside, it seems like it's so hard to find a fic anymore, and I have just don't have the will to read a million chapters of some fic and then realize too late that it's crap. Yeah...I'm a bit cynical these days. Lol, but a lot happier than I've been in awhile. :D Fav Shows: Avatar Ranma Fav Characters: Sango (inu) Bankotsu (inu) Sesshoumaru (inu) Ukyo (ran) Ryouga (ran) Hiei (yuyuhakusho) Zuko (ava) Sokka (ava) I tend to like odd/unthinkable pairings, because 1. they're more fun to read about and leave more to the imagination, and 2. I'm just wierd (as I've stated before). But I do also like couples that are "meant for eachother" or end up together in the show, whatev. It just goes to show that my brain is a little crazy...or alot. Fav pairings San/Sess (inu) ~ I think this is a very plausible couple (hear me out). A lot of people say "sess would just kill her," which could be true, but also, if he ever took the time to notice her he would realize that she is everything a human is NOT what he thought: she's strong, brave, determined, honorable and a great fighter. Plus with Kohaku traveling around with him so much I'm surprised they don't have MORE interaction than they do. Besides, all the 'wonderful Takahashi' couples bicker and fight...what would make this much different? San/Ban (inu) ~ There's really no logic to this pairing, more that they are similiar (both strong humans who fight well, and kill for money ((thouh Sango's good...)) Kag/Inu (inu) ~ How can they not go together? They complete eachother like cookies and milk. Uk/Ryo (ran) ~ I love how these two interact, always bickering and fighting like an old married couple (which is how Ranma and Akane act, and THEY love eacother...) So why haven't these two hooked up yet? It's a Perfect Takahashi couple! Shampoo/Mousse (ran) ~ see above I also like the dynasty warriors video game series and pokemon games. I have certain petpeeves about fics that I'm just going to get off my chest right now: I really dislike alternate pairing stories where the two unlikely people fall in love after like...two sentences. I don't mind if the characters "hook-up" in oneshots because you can be sexually attracted to someone without having to love them. But stories that have people like Sango and Sesshoumaru meeting one time and then proclaiming their undying love for eachother for no reason at all...its kinda dumb. Here's some advice: if you're going to make alternate pairing stories then make sure you put some thought into it, and make it of appropriate length, or, if you're too lazy then DO NOT write some half-assed oneshot about how the two completely different characters say 'hi' to eachother and then fall in love forever. Also, if you know you have terrible spelling/grammar issues, make sure you at least proofread somewhat. I'm not saying labor for ten huors trying to make everything just perfect, but just a LITTLE bit would do. A few mistakes are OK, because it happens, but I get really tired of reading fics where every other word is a mistake. |
