What I Would Like to Do Before I Die: Travel the world and meet new people. Everywhere, but starting with Europe and going around to Asia, you know, making my way home from there. Other than this which is pretty much my major one, getting kissed under the rain, publishing a book, meeting a famous person and treating whoever it is normally, going rock climbing and white-water rafting, getting my fortune told including tarot cards, palm, pretty much everything, and of course falling in love.

I LIKE (this has to be the longest run-on sentence ever)...

Adrenaline, my birthday, excitement, nice, fuzzy dreams, clouds, the sky, summer nights, popsicles, junk food, candy, dip cones from DQ, eating, my computer, lotion, deodorant, movies, my friends (I love you!), jokes, funny stuff, music, tv, reading, writing, anime, books, having fun, people who know how to have fun, happiness, hanging out, anything that smells good, fruity body spray, nice people, seaweed, a sense of humour, my family, travelling, Christmas, Halloween, Easter, my birthday, quotes, and that's all I can think of now. But I have way more that I'll put on later when I think of them.

I DON'T LIKE...

Being woken up when I don't feel like it, my room, rooms with depressing colours, starving, being sick (it is NOT a good experience, no matter what anyone says) not knowing what's going on, garlic, onions, ginger, turnips, anything that smells bad, jello, lime-flavoured chips (nasty, I tell you), nasty attitudes, judgemental people, being ignored, backstabbing, lies that aren't white lies, smoking, the smell of gas, going to a new school and not knowing anyone, being seperated from friends, hypocrites, backtalking, yelling, feeling down, dirtiness (in the literal meaning of the word), bad marks, and more that I'll think of later.

QUIRKS

I have a thing for counting things - anything. When I'm reading, I'll silently count the number of lines I've read. The number of paragraphs. While we're driving, I'll count the number of telephone poles until the next sign, and when I'm running, I'll count my steps; stuff like that.

GREATEST WRITING PEEVES (I think almost all newbie authors go through some if not all of these)

When authors:
- Write 'ding dong', 'knock knock', 'crash!' or any other like terms in place of actually describing the sounds, motions, or whatever the case may be. It just sounds like you're too lazy and decided to take the cheap way out. I just might have been guilty of this before, can't remember, but that was probably when I thought those kinds of things were cool and such a "wonder" of fanfiction, which I've clearly changed my mind about.

- Use Japanese words frequently in the anime fandoms. Yes, I've done this before because I thought it was cool (I was new to the website). I don't mind the occasional word or two, but this when you say you're going to write in one langage, the language in stories should be somewhat constant. Plus, Japanese words are not meant to be written in English anyway. People new to fanfiction have no idea what's going on either. It took me awhile to catch up, myself.

- Write about how a character is average looking, then go about gushing over how his/her (usually her): skin is creamy, lips are so plump, eyes are such and such gorgeous colour, hair is so shiny and thick, and etc.

- Use lyrics as part of their stories. This perhaps isn't a great writing peeve, it just annoys me slightly. Once again, I was guilty of this (hint: was). I don't mind if it's just used to open/divide/close chapters, but honestly, when I read lyrics it's just not the same as hearing them. So when an author writes the lyrics in, listening to the music, it seems great but the reader isn't part of that recieving end of the music; furthermore, different people have different tastes in music. So sticking a random song into an otherwise great story at some climaxing moment usually doesn't work, if anything it kills the mood. Only truly great authors can do this and I have only met one in my life. I am most firmly not one of them.

- State a character's characteristics, for ex. intelligence: he is intelligent, for a really basic sentence. It's not enough just to bluntly tell the reader that the character is a certain way; it must be backed up by actual evidence incorporated into the character. Otherwise it just seems unbelievable and even comical. Furthermore the character himself/herself seems flat, which is one of the worst things that could happen in a story. It's just like real life, if you think about it! If you claim that you are very bold and like talking, yet other people never see you talk much, they aren't likely to believe you. This one really annoys me, once again also partly because I was guilty of this in the past and now hate myself for it =)

Favourite Plot Lines, usually constitutes of great world-building: Fullmetal Alchemist, Naruto, Inuyasha, Rurouni Kenshin, Avatar: Last Airbender, the Labyrinth (not an anime)

Favourite Couples x) - I'm not particularly picky, so I'll pretty much go with anything as long as the story has feeling, is good to read, and the characters are well-developed - you'll probably find random pairings in my fav's list that are not on my fav couples list. But, like anyone, I have people who I just like seeing together, good story or not. I mostly prefer canon, but I have to admit, a few of the quirkier pairings have also captured my heart.
