![]() Author has written 7 stories for Walking Dead, Persona Series, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Hi, so I'm a dude now in his twenties with a burning ambition to write and so here I am. So a little bit about me Well I'm a little eccentric, weird, shy at times and won't shut up at others. A little bit of perfectionist and a slacker both in one, with too much time on my hands and a hobby for writing. My favourite stories/games/TV series include- The Walking Dead Game- My favourite game of all time, gone downhill as the seasons have gone by, but I hold onto my hope the masterpiece that was Season 1 can be redone by Telltale. Tales from The Borderlands- My second favourite Telltale Game, brilliant characters, great humour and quirky setting. Loved it. The Last Of Us- I'm all for zombie stuff, so of course an original take on the zombie infection and a brilliant story drew me to this game. Overwatch- Quirky, weird, bright and optimistic, this game is addicting and fun to play, it's lore fansicanting with a dark undertone, loving everything about it so far and watching out for more! Deadrising- Cutting up zombies in a mall? Photojournalist? Fun, campy, with a pretty decent story, it's sequels aren't as good but the series is a must for a zombie guy like me. Left 4 Dead (1, 2 and 3 when it comes out, because it definitely should)- My teen years in a nutshell, a fun zombie game with great characters it will always have a space in my heart. Crash Bandicoot and Spyro Series- My childhood, how can you not love these games? Films We'll begin with 28 Days Later- My all time favourite movie, had the british gritness I love, while telling a brilliant zombie story. 28 Weeks Later- Not as good as 28 days, but comes damn close, with it's action and intensity. Cloverfield- I just really liked this film, I don't know why but the handheld footage style and mysterious nature of the monster really drew me into it. Dawn Of The Dead- Both the original and the surprisingly good 2004 remake. The Babadook- An intense psychological horror that I enjoyed due to giving us flashes of the monster and not the full thing. The Shining- Like I said, I'm a fan of more psychological horror over monster horror (unless their are zombies) so of course this classic drew me in. Pixar Films- Well, you can't not love them. But my top three would have to be... (Up, Inside Out and The Incredibles) Other Animated Films- Wreck It Ralph, Zootopia and Big Hero 6 all spring to mind. The Blair Witch Project- A mixed bag for some, but a film that really managed to creep me out when I was younger. Sometimes not showing the monster is the scariest thing and it worked with me. Speed- I don't usually like action films, but this one was done so damn bloody well, with such an original premise and great characters I couldn't help but be glued to the screen. The Matrix- The original and nothing after. Back To The Future Trilogy- Because... you just have too love this. Blue Is The Warmest Colour- A french lesbian love film, a film that actually made real life such an interesting thing to watch. The relationship between the two main characters is brilliant and it's appeal (disregarding the sex scenes, because you know being a dude and all, they had a certain appeal on their own) but story wise this 3 hour fest is simply amazing and Hollywood could learn from these type of films. Whiplash- Brilliant, really showcases the descent into madness through learning the drums and raises some questions how far people are willing to go achieve perfection. Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?- A classic I happened to catch and I'm glad I did. The acting is absolutely phenomenal in this film and despite it's age it will keep you glued to the screen. Pulp Fiction- Because... just everything about it. Tarantino at his best. TV Series, Books and other Media Game Of Thrones- Duh Harry Potter series- Another obvious one. Berserk- (Manga)- Probably the best manga I've ever read, seriously check it out! Monster (currently reading through and then moving onto 20th Century Boys)- Monster... is simply another treat. A brilliant story and characters. Clannad (Anime along with Afterstory)- I wasn't prepared for this story and the feels it would give me. If you want to cry, watch this anime. Bleach- (Anime and Manga) Everything leading up to the Soul Society arc and everything during it was just some of the best Shonen stuff I've ever read and watched. After that the series begins it's slow descent, but it's first segment and arc is truly a gem and worth checking out. (I haven't seen enough of One Piece or Naruto to judge them on the same level). High School Of The Dead- Despite the OOT fanservice, when this series wants to be good, it gits gud! SCHOOL LIVE!- Another one for a zombie fan like me, it's amazing how a sort of moe anime, managed to be this dark and disturbing in equal measures and I loved it! Re: Zero- Loved it so far and am patiently waiting for more, also Rem is best girl, no doubt about it. Gintama- My favourite ongoing Anime, which has some of the best humour and gotten many laughs out of me, while also managing to upset me in equal measures, it's impossible not to get sucked into this great (and I feel) underrated series. A true gem in my eyes. Okay more random stuff about me and my fics so far. I'll tend to write dark stuff as I'm a pessimist at heart, however I tend to try and integrate a lot of humour into my works as I can understand that too much depression can never make for a good story. My stories so far are my "Second Chance Trilogy" based of the walking dead game, my stories follow a structure of 52 chapters for each story, as No Going Back? Did much better than I thought it would, and the sequel Going to Ruin managed to do even better. So now I'm writing the final chapter of this trilogy, Ruin To Redemption I have high hopes it will do well as well. The Spoils of War and 2000 Days are two shorter fics that link the main trilogy together, both are only 6 chapters long. I'm also writing the fic "Better Angles" on Overwatch, as I love the OW universe and I want to explore it even further in future fics. As I have many ideas on what to write. My weakness in writing would be my grammar/spelling and making typo's because when I read my fic back and spot a glaring obvious typo I mentally slap myself and wonder how the hell I could have missed it out while writing the chapter. Lately I've been busy with things, so updates come less frequently but no matter how long it takes I will finish my fics, as I've come across too many good fanfictions that remain incomplete and it drives me mad. For all the people who've read my story so far I promise to you the fic will be finished even if you have to wait 5 years (I'm joking, I'm not that cruel, or am I?) Before coming to fanfiction, I wrote original material on a different site although some of it was well received I got frustrated at the lack of attention/feedback I received. Also over time my works on that site got darker and caused a backlash amongst the people who read them, with that in mind I gave up on writing original material and focused on improving my writing here on this site. Maybe one day I'll go back to writing original stuff as I have few ideas on what to write but so far I'm sticking with fanfiction. Also, I'd like to thank everyone whose read and reviewed my fics so far, as much as I like a favourite or a follow, my favourite thing on this site is a review. I try to leave reviews for other stories (especially one's I like) and I try to make them detailed in what aspects I liked about a certain chapter and whether there is room for improvement. Either way the reviews I receive now are fantastic and the feedback/suggestions from readers really keeps me motivated and keeps me writing. and now onto a list of my favourite fics of all time! (so far). A Keen Observer- A Harry Potter fanfic, focusing on Tonks' mother Andromeda during her time at Hogwarts, it really hooks you in and explores her relationship with her family as well as her future husband. Definitely worth a read. 72 Hours- An amazing Battle Royale fanfic, that had me hooked from Chapter one and kept me engrossed throughout the entire thing, worth a read. Tears of Blood and Bring them to their Knees- A Hunger Games fanfic series, with an original cast. The idea is every author submits one tribute, out of 24 authors there can only be one winner. The characters in these fics are fantastically written and (too me) better than the tributes in Hunger Games books and Films as everyone has a story, you either, love or hate them and they all seem to have a grey area... Tears of Blood is a fic where you'll never guess who dies next and who eventually wins, whereas BTTTK, was amazing so it baffles me that It was abandoned. Five Weeks At Freddy's- A five Night's at Freddy's fic, a jewel amongst fics based on the popular indie game, as many are simply smut between Mike and the haunted mascots for a pizzeria, this fic however is superbly written. Has a plot that will leave your confused but wanting to read on to figure out the mysteries. Since it doesn't include mysteries from the second and third game it feels like original material based off the game and I wish more authors could take a story as open ended as FNAF and turn into masterpieces like this fic is. Once you start reading you don't stop. A New Day Gone By- A Walking Dead fic that mixes everything perfectly, despite the vast amount of characters from the TV Show, Comic and Game, the author manages to write a story in which no one feels neglected nor pushed to the side. the plot itself and development for the characters is also spot on, if you want the ultimate walking dead crossover between it's different media's this is the fic for you. Growing Pains- This and it's sequel from LilacsBloom are brilliantly written and feature what I feel is the best bond between Luke and Clem written in a fic (without it being a Cluke fic) the back-story is written emotively and Clem and Luke's struggles to reach a safe haven are written in a way that you feel for their characters, defiantly worth a read. A New Day- Has been updated in a while, but probably the best walking dead fic out there. Salvation Lost- If you like character interactions between Season 1's cast, than this is the fic for you, it will have you hooked and is worth the time to read. Also I planning to check out Living In A World of Fiction and the Into the Fray Series, as I've heard nothing but good things about them. and that's all, hope you enjoy those fics along with own |
