![]() Author has written 3 stories for Mortal Instruments. It's been an incredibly unstable year for me, and I don't post as frequently as I would like. Fair warning to everyone about this. I try my best, but am also a mother and a military wife... life gets hectic for me. I LOVE WRITING. It is my therapy. It took me a long time to get this thing written because I'm super bad at this kind of stuff... \_(ツ)_/ I am so in love with the shruggie guy, and according to an article on the life and times of this kaomoji (a japanese alphabet emoticon) it is a direct result of spending to much time on the internet… and to that I say \_(ツ)_/ … I use him at least 10 times a day and I love it. So yeah, this is me... Mari. I’m a self proclaimed ambivert (diagnosed by a Buzzfeed quiz— which I firmly stand behind). I either talk entirely too much, or say nothing at all…depending on the atmosphere. I’m 26, and I have about a million dreams and aspirations. Literature opened my world and my mind and it is one of my truest loves. I also love, love, love music. I cannot function throughout my day without having some sort of noise— be it music (preferably) or NPR— playing in the background. It’s like my life is a movie with a constant soundtrack accompanying it. Spotify is my best friend, though I’m about to switch to Apple Music. Because, Taylor Swift. I listen to anything from Between the Buried and Me, to Pierce the Veil, to Tove Lo, to Kendrick Lamar, or even Dick Cheese… because he is King. But my all time favorite is and always will be Death Cab For Cutie... love them. I am the mother of the sassiest child ever, and she is an amazing girl for it. My dogs are my babies for life. Blackness and Todi, I love you. My husband is my best friend, and we fight over the dumbest things— like the pair of sweatpants he took from me and claimed as his own. We may not own them anymore, but I never forgot… I am a walking movie quote generator who doesn't take herself as serious as she should sometimes. Pop culture is one of my favorite things to observe, and I spend too much time researching (sometimes) useless information, because I love to learn— regardless of the subject matter. Netflix and Hulu are my life. My best friends are my most prized treasures in life. Shout out to a handful of them that happen to be a part of this wonderful community— IWriteNaked, RippingButterflyWings, and SpikeyHairGood. You three are my homies. I can’t imagine life without you. Currently one of them is sitting opposite me in my kitchen— another shout out to you, IWriteNaked, you're an awesome, passionate, beautiful, kind hearted, fierce, and loyal girl. You are my Parabatai, and we discover ways in which we are meant to be this for each other every day. You are awesome and brilliant and I want to keep you in California with me… but I can’t, because, Alaska. I talk too much because I don’t know when to stop. So I’ll end here. Mosh 4 Life. Forever and Always. |
