Author has written 43 stories for SeaQuest, Sliders, NCIS, Stargate: Atlantis, Arrow, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Glee, and Supernatural. Hey, I'm mostly posting now on AO3. Updates on my current projects 9/1/18 In case anyone actually looks at profiles anymore, I figured I'd make a post and just let folks know that I haven't been great about cross-posting here. I'm mostly on Archive of Our Own now. I'm writing some MCU stuff currently, although I hope to complete some of my WIPs at some point. I'm always willing to chat on here, though! 12/26/17 Having trouble uploading documents for anyone reading Kurt, Elliott, and the Hummelholidays, if you’d like to stay caught up, please check it out on AO3 message me if you need help finding it. Hopefully I’ll be able to double post tomorrow. 5/25/17 Hi! I've been really blocked recently but I'm writing for some prompts and that's starting to get things rolling again. I get a lot of hits and reviews on my A/B/O Arrow story No Regrets, and so I'm working on a new chapter for that. This is your PSA that if you love a story and want more, leaving encouraging reviews (not demanding, at least for me those make me feel like crap) is a good way to motivate a writer. 1/17/17 I need to get my other Advent stuff cross posted here, but I'm busy writing so it's going to have to wait! It's all up on AO3 if you want to check it out. With the US political situation, I am in dire need of fluff. So I have a new Kurtbastian story I'll start posting soon, and I am returning to NCIS! It's a crossover with Eyewitness, so if you can't find it under NCIS, look for the tv show Eyewitness. Fantastic show: I highly recommend it. I'm going to be writing and posting as I go, so please be patient. 12/4/16 I'm participating in two Advent writing challenges. One is called Bitchmas, and it's too kinky to post here. Check it out on AO3. It's all set in the Beyond His Control verse. The other one is the Klaine Advent but I'm writing those in Control as well, and they're Kurtbastian rather than Klaine. So far those are only on my Tumblr. I'm still obsessed with Control, it seems. As always, feel free to PM me if you want to chat about any of my writing! 9/1/16 I've started posting my multichapter Glee Sebklaine story here and on AO3. I plan to post weekly. I updated The System on Ao3 and have the next two chapters of that planned out. I really want to dig back into The Red Shoes verse and finish it, but right now Glee is what my muse is focused on. And kink. So I guess we'll see if the new season of NCIS is inspiring for me or not. 7/10/16 I had to drop out of the Big Bang, but I'm still writing. I'm working on multiple projects in different fandoms, so keep watch, maybe the next one will be the one you're hoping for! 5/15/16 My, how time does fly. I have a few drabbles up on A03, and should be posting another chapter of No Regrets soon. I have committed to the Tumblr End of the World Bang big bang writing challenge, so that and my M/M/M Glee are taking up most of my writing time, but I am trying to continue some of my other W I P's. I have a partially written chapter of The System which I hope to complete and post this summer. Let me just say thank you to everyone who still checking out my work here on this site, and suggest that if you like more explicit work you should look me up over on AO3. Happy spring, everyone! 2/15/16 Happy International Fanworks Day! I posted a new Glee story over on AO3 in honor of the day. I'm working on a multichapter Glee involving Kurt/Blaine/Sebastian, and I don't know yet if it will be too explicit for this site. Lots of other ideas and WIPs as usual, but right now it's Glee on my brain. Have a great Fanworks day, and remember to support your writers and artists! 1/8/16 Welcome to 2016. I'm embroiled in quite a few projects currently. I have some Glee fics, another Home story, more System, and even another Chrysalis chapter in the works. Whichever catches fire (sometimes prompted by readers, so feel free to PM me if you really want to see more of a particular story) in my mind is what gets finished first, otherwise I tend to bounce around between all of them. Oh, I have a sequel to Bowed Not Broken which will share my thoughts on how season three of Arrow should have ended and hopefully move Roy into a healthier relationship with a certain Glee character I'm obsessed with. So... Lots and lots of WIPs here. Hoping for a prolific and positive year of fanfiction! 12/3/15 The Home series is cross posting on AO3. I'm working on a new installment, so stay tuned! I have too many ideas and not enough time. I plan to get back to all my other works, but I just have to wait and see which one catches fire for me at any one time. 10/4/15 The System is on hiatus, but I will getting back to it soon, even just to post the chapters I have written. Screw the haters! My muse beat me over the head with a crazy Glee/Supernatural crossover notion, and so it's up today here and on AO3. I don't think you need to know either show to enjoy it if you just like my emotional sexy stories. But there couldn't be a happy ending for this pairing, so it's a sad one. You've been warned. 9/4/15 I've started posting The System on AO3. Should have it on AFF today, too(note- I'm having trouble with AFF, so I don't know when it will get updated). I'm writing chapter 7 presently, so I will post every few days until I get caught up. I hope you go check it out on one of those sites since it will be too graphic to post here. 8/16/15 I'm in a bit of limbo here with about seven projects in the works. I'm dabbling on whatever takes my fancy until one of them will surely grab me by the throat and hold me hostage until I finish it. I'm planning a fluffy sidebar for the Red Shoes verse titled Adventures in Transgender Shopping. It should be mostly fun before I tackle the last planned story in that series. I had a request for a Xanthe-esque NCIS story that I have started, too. I haven't forgotten my plans for Arrow, but knowing that (spoiler alert!) Roy is no longer on the show has really dampened my interest. Anything I write now will be AU and that's depressing. FlyingPiglet and I have discussed returning to the Stranger verse and writing some alternate plotlines. I want to explore how Tim and Steve's relationship might have been if they'd worked things out, and I wrote a sonfic drabble with Steve after Tim left. ToniMH mentioned McGibbs skype, and with Tim traveling so much for work I think that would be a fun bit, too. So... Busy busy! Any particular thoughts on what you REALLY want to read from me next might sway me, so feel free to PM. 7/1/15 I pulled Chrysalis, sorry if it seems fickle. Too intense/explicit for here, and even getting flames on AO3! Well, if you like my regular stuff, I've posted the first chapter of Happily. I hope you'll check it out. I'm finishing writing the last chapter of it now (should be 7 in total, weekly postings), and then I'm going to work on my 'how it should have been' of the Arrow season 3 ending. They've written my favorite character out, and I am just too bummed to let it stand. Planning on 2 versions, one in the form of Roy's journal and non-slash, rated T, the other a sequel to Bowed, Not Broken in all it's Roliver, slashy, M-rated goodness. I haven't forgotten Unconditional. I've been thinking of how I can get through the end of season one and back to the parts I have already written. Eventually I'll return to my other 'verses, too. 6/26/15 Chrysalis is coming to ff, with 2 chapters up so far. Hoping I don't get banned. Happily is days from posting, really! Stay tuned. Red Shoes is up on AO3. 6/8/15 Wrote a too-hot-for-ff story titled Chrysalis. Sorry folks, but you're gonna have to read it on adult dash fanfiction dot org. I'm Leydhawk there, too. It's pretty hard core BDSM with this summary: McGibbs established relationship. BDSM Dom!Gibbs uses his position to help heal sub!Tim's emotional scars. With help along the way from Tony, Vance, and Jimmy, maybe Dom!Tim can do the same for sub!Gibbs. I had to tag it with like 23 different warnings, so if you go read it, you are now warned. Okay, so I'm also back at work on the Red Shoes sequel When Does Happily Ever After Start. I hope to start posting next month maybe. Arrow is likely after that, while my poor SGA readers are gonna have to keep hanging on. I'm going to dabble in co-writing or just scene assistance (yes, THOSE scenes, what else?) with smartkid37, too. Thanks for all the views and follows and favorites, they really mean a lot! 5/22/15 Almost done posting Stranger, just the potentially controversial Epilogue to go. I am excited to get back to Happily and pure McGibbs with my gender fluid Tim, although the end of season 3 of Arrow requires a Roy/Oliver re-write. It just has to happen. It will probably be set as a sequel to Bowed, Not Broken. I reread Unforgettable and its sequel and I really want to get back to that as well. Plus, Unconditional has been sadly neglected, and I hate being one of the writers who updates so unfrequently that the works seem abandoned. Lots of new ideas as well: Arrow/NCIS crossover (since Tim and Ollie's dad was played by the same actor), Omegaverse NCIS, more SHIELD, and maybe some co-writing with smartkid37 and FlyingPiglet. It's an addiction that may never end, this writing of fanfic! PM's are always welcome. Thanks for reading. 3/12/15 Sorry, everyone. I slipped on some of the last of the ice from our couple of weeks of snowstorms here in Denver, and injured my right shoulder. I'm right-handed. I have been working on new crossover story for Hawaii 5–0 and NCIS. It's McGarrett/McGee, rising to a challenge from FlyingPiglet. Happily has just been too intense and dark for where I am personally in my life right now. So, I am taking a break from that, and now I'm not getting a whole lot written due to my injury. I promise to get back to posting as soon as I am able. 2/1/15 Lots of personal complications have slowed down my writing, except for a few fluff pieces. I hope to get back to Unconditional late spring, and Unforgettable after that. For now, I'm really focused on the serious sequel to Red Shoes. I had thought I had the bulk of it done, then I got a wonderful beta who I am able to bounce ideas off of, and we're adding so much depth and substance to it, I think you'll really like it. Plus, she keeps pushing for more adult content, so that's good, too! Thanks for your patience. Don't you hate it when real life gets in the way of hobbies (obsessions, whatever)? 1/1/15 Happy New Year, all! Well, my PWP has become a story with an actual plot and character arc (for Tony, can you believe a McGibbs person like me has written something Tony-centric?!), so I intend to post it here as well as on other sites. My Red Shoes sequel is chugging along I pretty much have the framework and maybe a third done, so if things go really well, maybe the beginning of February for that? The Tony-story will be this month, though. Five chapters are written now, of either seven or eight. Hope everyone's holidays were better than mine! Here's to a great 2015... 12/27/14 I'm working seriously on the sequel to The Red Shoes, although I have been sidetracked by a total PWP that's so incredibly PWP that I can't even post it here. I plan to post on adultfan-fiction when it's complete. It's dialogue and audibles only, with different pairings in each chapter. DiNozzo/LaSalle, DiNozzo/LaSalle/McGee, DiNozzo/McGee, DiNozzo/LaSalle/McGee/Gibbs/Callen... It's utter gratuity. I'll make a note on here and in author's notes when I post it over there. Until then, happy New Year, all! See you in 2015. 11/28/14 Probably no new stories until after the holidays. I'm depressed and can't handle any kind of negative response to my stuff right now. Also, the next story in the Unforgettable 'verse will cover Kate's death, so that's dark, too. I need to just put my head down and try to survive through Christmas. I'll still PM if anyone wants to chat. I appreciate the support I get from most of my friends and readers on here. Thank you! 11/24/14 I'm working on the sequel to Unforgettable. It covers the time from Sub Rosa until after Witness. My Red Shoes sequel is still percolating. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! 10/16/14 My new McGibbs is titled Unforgettable, and I am in chapter 4 right now. I have needed to take a breather, and slow down this last month or so to avoid burnout. I've written over 250,000 words this year! Don't worry, I'm still writing, I'm just slowing down a little. I still enjoyed chatting, so feel free to PM me. 9/15/14 Starting a new McGibbs set during Sub Rosa. I'll keep working on Cooking Bacon as I go, though. 9/4/14: I'm trying to get something more than fluff together for a sequel to The Red Shoes, and to get some more writing/scavenging of bits and pieces written through the last decade for Unconditional. I'm still always up for PM chatting! Thanks to everyone who's been reading my work, I am addicted to your attention now! ;-) 8/1/14: The Red Shoes is my McGibbs story which I've started posting. The response to just my teaser prologue is amazing, and I can't wait to see what everyone thinks of the rest of it! 6/22/14:Just a note to let ya'll know: I'm working on my first McGibbs NCIS story. I think I will still get back to Home at some point, but for now, exploring gender identity with McGee is where I am. I'm always open to chatting via PM if you have anything you'd like to discuss. About Me I've been writing fanfiction since before I knew the term, possibly before the term existed. Wow, I feel old. I tend to get obsessed with one subject (show, book, whatever) at a time and play in that sandbox until some other shiny object catches my imagination. I've been on a Supernatural kick, and have a long series of stories in the works with a crossover for NCIS. (Tim/Sam) I also have a very long Stargate Atlantis piece I return to intermittently. (Rodney/OFC) Reading stories on here has been a lot of fun, so I figured, what the hey, why not put some of my work up and see how it goes? I am a character driven romantic, with a strong tendency to write heightened emotion. Fair warning given. Miscellaneous stuff When I started working on the Home series (before it had that name or I even considered posting it for others to read), I found music to inspire me. Bittersweet and beautiful was what I went for at first, then more emo, finding Sam’s internal soundtrack in Linkin Park, with Tim’s preferences much sweeter and lighter. I’ve discovered that the bio part of the profile page can have just about anything on it, so I decided to share the music I’ve used for inspiration throughout writing this series, along with a few notes. Also, here's the Home series thus far, in order: Every Step Leads Home The Winding Road Leads Home Heading Out Toward Home A Long Way to Home/Tim's Long Way to Home A Candle to Lead You Home Home Away From Home My Sam and Tim playlist: Here With Me by Dido Doomsday by Murray Gold (I’m a Whovian and some of the most emotional music from the tenth Doctor’s years fit the bittersweet feel I went for at the beginning) You Do Something to Me by Paul Weller (Any other David Tennant fans out there? This is the song from his mini-series Recovery) A Thousand Years (cover) by Boyce Avenue (I found this version while looking at fan-made music videos on Youtube and fell in love with it. The vid is a Destiel one, I recommend it!) One Will Fall By the Way by Snuffy Walden from The Stand soundtrack A Lot of Life Behind Us by Murray Gold Sunshower by Chris Cornell from the Great Expectations soundtrack Four Knocks by Murray Gold The Way I Am by Ingrid Michaelson (This one has come and gone from the list but I think Tim would like it so I’m including it) Never Gonna Leave this Bed (cover) by Michael Henry and Justin Robinett (These two guys are talented! I love their piano arrangements, how their voices go together so beautifully… I can’t recommend them enough. itunes. Check them out.) Sword and Shield by Sister Hazel Higher by Creed New Divide by Linkin Park (The storm imagery was perfect while I was writing Every Step) With You by Linkin Park (Another one with an excellent Destiel music vid on youtube) Somewhere I Belong by Linkin Park (This is totally my Sam anthem, angsty and self-loathing yet hopeful) Blurry by Puddle of Mudd For You by The Calling It’s Been Awhile by Staind (Inspiration for Sam to use candlelight in the apartment) Walk by Foo Fighters Hanging by a Moment by Lifehouse (One of my very favorites for their relationship “I’m standing here until you make me move.” Such a great line!) Buried Beneath by Red (Thanks Shadowdweller25, I loved ‘Need You to Breathe’ the four one-shots of times Gibbs couldn’t breathe and bought the song that inspired it) All of Me (cover) by Justin Robinett (I prefer his music with Michael Henry, but he has some good stuff solo as well, and this song is sooo Sam and Tim) May I by Trading Yesterday (Sappy but perfect for my boys!) Daylight (cover) by Boyce Avenue (This was so right while I was writing all those meetings and goodbyes for Winding Road) A Little More of You (cover?) by Ashley Chambliss Crash and Burn by Savage Garden I Shall Believe by Sheryl Crow Superman by Five for Fighting (I see Sam as a superman. I just do, okay? And the first full episode of NCIS I ever watched made me call the friend who recommended it and exclaim "Tim's a Superagent!") Wish that Home Were Here by Sam Hart (There’s another Sam Hart which isn’t available on itunes ‘Come Home Yesterday’ but is on Youtube. I hope he gets that available to buy. I love it!) So Beautiful by Savage Garden (I searched for gay love songs and found this one. Savage Garden is so sweet/sappy I think Sam would cringe, but Tim would like them, and this fit perfectly with the scene when Sam calls Tim beautiful and he takes it badly.) God Gave Me You (cover) by Michael Henry and Justin Robinett (The song that gave me the reason why two straight guys could fall in love. Supernatural has God as the ultimate absent father, but the closest equivalent in heaven are the archangels, including Gabriel, who really cares about Sam. I didn’t go totally Sabriel here, but I decided he would take care of Sam and make sure he wasn’t alone.) Summer Moved On by a-ha Turning Tables by Adele (Kinda works for Sam with Dean, eh?) Everywhere by Michelle Branch (The anthem for the last part of Every Step when they can’t stop thinking about each other and are both so straight they can’t admit why) Mirrors (cover) by Michael Henry and Justin Robinett (Great lovesong for two guys!) Separate Ways (cover) by Michael Henry and Justin Robinett (So right for them I had to write it in) Someday by Rob Thomas We’re Only Love by Counting Crows Without You (cover) by Michael Henry and Justin Robinett Sirens Call by Cats on Trees Everything (cover) by Michael Henry and Justin Robinett Sweet Child O’ Mine (cover) by Michael Henry and Justin Robinett (I tried to avoid songs with gender references to women, but I’ve always loved this song and this version is lovely for my boys) God Put a Smile Upon Your Face by Coldplay Knees of My Bees by Alanis Morissiette Love Theme by Trevor Jones from the soundtrack to Dark Crystal Lovesong by The Cure No One Like You by Sarah Brightman Pictures of You by The Cure (I bought Disintegration while writing Home and included some songs even if the lyrics didn’t quite work simply because Disintegration is one of the best albums EVER) Plainsong by The Cure The Promise by Tracy Chapman She Was Sad at First… by Andrew Powell from the soundtrack to Ladyhawke (Yes, my screen name is from that movie) Will You Still Love Me? By Chicago Unable to Stay, Unwilling to Leave by James Horner from the Titanic soundtrack Waiting in Vain by Bob Marley and the Wailers These are listed in the order they’re on my iphone, but depending on which part I’m writing, I will usually play one block over and over again. I play the harder stuff when dealing with Sam alone or with Dean, and for the endings of my stories with the over-the-top romanticism, I replay ‘All of You’, ‘May I’, ‘Daylight’, ‘All of You’ (again), and ‘A Little More of You’. If I ever need to get into my Sam frame of mind, I’ll just shuffle all my Linkin Park. I don’t know jazz too well, so I don’t have the appropriate correlating music for Tim, but I am so much like Tim that I don’t have to work very hard to get in his head. There are so many other beautiful lovesongs out there, but many of them are gender-biased straight, and/or I have them on my Stargate Atlantis play list for Rodney and Leah so I didn’t want to reuse them. (Oh! Spoiler! Leah is the OFC for my Atlantis story. When I run out of steam with Home, I'll start posting it, so stay tuned...) I’d welcome any further suggestions of music for these two, I love having more variety to inspire me, so send me a PM, and thanks for reading! P.S. My profile picture is my dog, Dagwood, named after the Peter Deluise character on seaQuest, of course! /s/11158596/1/Stranger-in-Paradise |
