![]() Author has written 13 stories for Pretender, Person of Interest, Misc. Tv Shows, Doctor Who, A-Team, Misc. Movies, Peter Wimsey, and Champions. Greetings, gentlefolk, from your friendly neighborhood RBS! I'm the barely employable dreamer your parents always warned you from becoming; I'm also a librarian, bookwyrm, voice actor, and most definitely not an escaped mental patient (yes, I can make that joke -- I have the paperwork). I'm working on a novel (a sort of fantasy noir with pulp superhero influences); it's got chapters and pages and everything -- even an appendix (which shall not be removed). I write fanfic either when my original works are going slow and I need something to squeeze out some creative juices or when it is going really well and my cup runneth over, as one might say. I should warn you that I am a tortoise-y writer in that it takes me a long time to write a story or a piece of a story to my satisfaction, but I get there in the end. Besides the stories below, I was privileged to be asked to contribute to the Doctor Who/Person of Interest fic, along with a couple of other fantastic guest authors, in the marvelous Haiza Tyri's "Four Times Reese Wished River Hadn't Come, One Time He Wished She Had." If you go to Haiza Tyri's profile to read that story, don't stop at just the one and go read her other stories; if you don't go there to read the the story I contributed to, read her stories anyway -- you will not be sorry, her stories are utterly fantastic. Thank you in advance for any critiques or reviews; they are greatly appreciated as they help me become a better writer and positive reviews inflate my head so I don't have to worry about drowning. Above all else, I hope you get some measure of enjoyment from my works. What to expect in content: I try to stick as close to the tone of a series and as close to how the characters would act as possible. I prefer to write about friendship to romance, but there may be the occasional bit of romance (because characters do canonically fall in love and it informs who they are, obviously), however there will never be sex scenes. I may write blood, death, and torture. There may occasionally be cursing or swearing, but no more frequently (and no words further) than what was exhibited in the original series; however, I will not shy away from it when it is part of a series. I neither write slash nor any other sort of non-canonical shipping; as previously noted, I prefer writing about friendship. If you like my writing style and would like to read some of my original works, visit my fictionpress at Archivist Crow. Special thanks to Haiza Tyri and Greyleaf, for their stories, correspondence, and critiques/reviews. |
