I am an American (US) who enjoys several anime and manga series including Yugioh (original & 5D's). I like many genres, particularly science fiction, fantasy, and horror. I hope that you enjoy reading my stories.

I started writing these stories to stay sane (yeah, I know, hard to believe ...) during my commute. Now it's practice (?) or something ... Anyway, thanks for letting me share. :)

Note on my pen name: Deck Divination was inspired by my interest in Yugioh, but it isn't a direct reference. I decided on that name because of my interest in Tarot cards ... although I actually use them more for meditation than augury.

About the tarot images I use ...

The ones I have used so far are from the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, which are in the public domain. For information, see Sacred Texts (/tarot/faq.htm).

Hey, dudes, wish I could say I had a new chapter now, but ... sorry about that. I just got another guest review for Pride, so I wanted to thank readers somewhere, even if I couldn't write back. You know, you really want to say thanks when someone writes that your story is the best Yugioh fic they've read so far! It's really gratifying. :) And the last one said that my stories are "incredible." So, thanks, anonymous reviewers, I really appreciate your sharing your thoughts. It means a lot to me. (Must get back to my current story ... it's the best way of showing my appreciation ...)

Woah ... it's been a while. Three Little Words gave me a bit of a fight to finish, and yet I've made more progress on it than Old World, New World. I think it's because I wanted to get TLW out of the way. Hopefully I can build up steam on OWNW soon! Meanwhile, I have a lot of irons in the fire, including several prideshipping ideas and an original story. I even got a second wind on a story that required a lot of research that I wasn't quite happy with; the short but technically-intricate type. You know, those kind. ;) I really want to do some 5D's, but the DM ideas jes' keep on comin'. Anyway, please stay tuned to this page for updates, I still can't post new stories to this site. Thanks for your continued support. :)

Here's a note for anyone following Three Little Words. No, I haven't abandoned it and I apologize for the wait! The next chapter is getting close now. Hurrah! It took me a while to get it on track, but I think I have it going the right way now. (Bad me for not having a good outline for this one!) I've just got my fingers crossed that I don't write myself into a corner! ;)

Dudes! If you're interested, I've finally (!) gotten a new chapter out for Old World, New World (and, yes, I still can't post a new story here; I give up). See it out on AO3 (see link above). ;) As always, sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for your support (and patience)! Whew, just one "kudos" for this so far and no comments; I hope folks like it. It's kind of hard to tell over there. I have a bunch more stuff I want to write, and I hope you'll continue to give it a try even if I can't post it here (sigh).

And if you're waiting on Three Little Words, no, I haven't given up on it, I've just bitten off more than I can chew ... very easily, at least. I've been working on a lot of stuff lately, so everything's slowed down. An update will be out as soon as I can get it together! Thanks for your patience! And the recent follows and favorites have been very motivating, too! ;) It's good to know that you're still interested in seeing more of this story.

Meanwhile, I have added a few of the stories that I most often turn to when I'm stalled to the list at the end of this profile.

OK, guys, I've tried. And tried. And emailed. And followed up. But I cannot post a new story. (And now the copy/paste doesn't work for submitting, either. What in god's name is going on around here?) Wow, it's been a long time. I apologize. Honestly, I have been trying to get traction on things, but (sigh) they've been going awfully slowly, and I've been working on so many things that the progress on any one project has been glacial. Still, I'd love to at least start putting out a new story (even if I don't have it as well in hand as I'd like), but that's the thing. I can't seem to post a new story! I've tried 4 different browsers and get the same damn blank page (well, except for the one that crashes, that is). Emailed support and they didn't reply. Don't know if that means they already know or don't care. It would be nice if they'd put a blurb on the blog to say, "Hey, we know, working on it." I mean, how long would that take? Two minutes? Anyway, rant over. I guess there are other places I could post, but I like the format here. Blog format kind of sucks for this. Anyway, feel free to PM me if you have commiseration, suggestions, anything ... Meanwhile, if you have been waiting on Three Little Words to pick up again, it's in progress if only because I've been working on it, and, hey, I can actually post on it because it already exists! Thank goodness for small favors, huh? Thanks, everyone, as always, for your support.

[Untitled DM Post-canon Adventure] A little post-canon anime/manga fusion about what Kaiba might do. This is probably familiar territory, but I hope that my story will be interesting enough anyway (and I have been assiduously avoiding reading other stories that deal with this subject to avoid cross-contamination ;) ).

[Untitled DM Historical Saga] A bit of an AU historical saga, hopefully decades-long; sort of a different sort of thing for me. I wonder, can I do this up right?

[Untitled 5D's Post-Canon "Romangst"] Just as Jack retires from pro dueling and begins working toward a new career, Yusei discovers something about his past.

[Prompt fic, probably not Yugioh] And, finally, I accepted a prompt fic, which think I have a decent idea for. If you want to chat about any of this, feel free to PM me. Stay tuned for more info.

I have a ton of ideas, probably too many, and I've written a few paragraphs to several pages of many of them. I don't want to list all my ideas here simply because I really don't want to give too much away before posting, so the list is sort of pointless anyway.
