Oh my god the story was so beautiful. I especially like your writing style, with metaphors and other figurative descriptions, and how you portrayed the characters. I was sitting there, reading your story and always thought "yes that's exactly how Kaiba would react". :D
I also liked the many references to the original universe like Bakura's love for RPGs and Kaiba being not interested in history and so on. I sure felt more at home with that even when it was in AU.
You somehow made your story tragic, thrilling and also humorous at the same time. I especially loved the scene with Kaiba getting drunk and snatching away Mai's glasses. Left me giggling. xD
All in all it was a beautiful story, with a well-conceived arc of suspense and a satisfying ending. Even though I would have loved to read some more about their relationship at the end. So many chapters about them forming a relationship and then the story over so soon.
Anyway, now I have to look for some other awesome stories. Have a good day! ;)

Sorry for another (super) late review! Finally, these two managed to work something out! Even if their new relationship is seeming to come with some hiccups... But that's to be expected with these two, after all. Glad to see the misunderstandings getting straightened out, even if it does seem like the aftermath will take some time to dissolve.

I really laughed at Anzu's part in all this. Her friendship-overdrive felt maybe a little bit over the top at first, but maybe that's just me, thinking her regular outlook on friendship is usually over the top anyway. (I'm guessing that was the point, then.) It feels a little sad that she has to overcompensate for her disappointment by being extra clingy, and who can really blame Seto for wanting her out of his hair?

I really love how blunt both of them are in this chapter - Atem agreeing that his new boyfriend is rude, Seto telling him he doesn't want to be her friend. It also doesn't surprise me that Seto would consider the back of a limo with darkly tinted windows to lack privacy. And of course, they've both finally arrived at the realization that no one else will do! A fine wrap-up.

I'll admit at first I thought this was another childish high school angst fic. But a few chapters in I realized it was more clever then I was giving it credit for. Capitalizing on Seto's unique personality, it gave an intriguing spin on the somewhat common drama. Seto's struggle to come to understand himself and Yami's to be more considerate than someone who kisses someone on a dare, became a true delight. Thanks for writing.

I never had really ever imagined Honda and Kaiba having an in depth conversation, but I found it hilarious. Keep up the good work! You know I love your work like always. Can't wait to hear more!

I really liked this. The problems are dragging more people into the direct conflict, and I love that you're using that to conceal information from the other characters.

You can't possibly be surprise by this, but I really loved Mokuba and Seto's interaction this chapter. (You write this pair so well!) I'm not at all shocked that Mokuba would have been more in-tune with Seto's preferences, nor was I surprised that Seto was annoyed at that. It's cute how much the little one wants to help, though Seto didn't seem to think the prying and "grilling" and scheming was so adorable.

I'm curious about what other sports you'd written in originally, but I think the archery worked out great. (I can't possibly be biased because of my personal love for the sport, no.) But the way the action was mixed in with the dialogue and thoughts was a really nice balance. Plus, it's always nice - especially in this kind of story - to see Seto getting to show off with something he's good at.

And it's good to see Seto finally admitting to himself what he wants, and wanting to take it. I think the archery really plays into that, especially with your title and a kind of overall theme of taking aim. So, yeah, I'd say the archery was a good pick. Overall, a very good chapter.

Haha Kaibas jealous. :-) that's cute. Seems Atems not the only one. LOL Honda, just don't. Seto would kick ur butt. He's the best at pretty much everything.

Eek, so sorry for not reviewing sooner!

First off, I thought the chosen blind date partners were great (even if Seto didn't agree). Isis does seem like someone Seto could have meaningful conversation with, and she played her part well. I really like how she was able to redirect Seto's attention back to Atem and managed to get him to answer some questions for himself. Raphael kind of took me by surprise but once the date began it seemed like a fair choice. Not surprised at all that Seto didn't concern himself with social etiquette once he decided that he wasn't interested in him, though. Both potential dates ended up pointing him back in the direction he was trying to walk away from. It makes me wonder what's going on in his head now... guess I'll have to wait for the next update!

I love it so far, and I love the end of this chapter! Kaiba's advantures in dating were really fun (especially with Ishizu, it was cute), and Pegasus made me laugh.

That was a great chapter. Lol I can't wait for jounouchi's reaction.
