Important Note:

If a particular story hasn't been updated in weeks or months, it doesn't mean I've abandoned it. I suffer from chronic health problems that mean I must occasionally take a break from fanfic. I also like working on more than one story at once - it keeps me entertained, but it does make chapter updates less frequent. But if I start a story, I believe I'm honor-bound to finish it, so if you're willing to wait, it will happen, I promise. Promise.

About Me:

I have been described by various people as reminding them of Yoda from Star Wars, River from Firefly, and Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter. So just put those three together and you have a good idea of what it means to be me. I enjoy literature, drama, laughing, chocolate, history, dancing, and good friends. As for my pen name, "Loki" is a Norse trickster god. I am his official campaign manager. And yes, I thought of that before "Avengers" came out.

About My Stories:

You won't find excessive sexual content or much profanity in my stories, but there will be a certain level of violence and psychological drama, mostly adhering to the tone of canon. And yes, I write slash and femmeslash as well as het. In my opinion (and Oscar Wilde's) books are neither moral nor immoral - just well-written or badly written. You can see individual stories for their individual warnings, and please do take care to read said warnings.

A Firefly Christmas is a story in progress, set in the Firefly 'verse created by the amazing Joss Whedon. Chapter 3 is now being edited. It has no relation to my other Firefly stories.

Friday Night Candles is a story in progress, a sequel to Usurer's Mercy (see below). It is set in the universe of The Merchant of Venice, by William Shakespeare, and Chapter 7 is now being written.

Blackout Zone is a story in progress, set in the Firefly 'verse created by the amazing Joss Whedon. I have recently done a rewrite on it, which will start getting posted sometime in the next month.

Magician Maligned is a story in progress from the Mairelon the Magician/Magician's Ward universe (by Patricia C. Wrede). Chapter 11 is now being written.

Sung All Through The 'Verse is a completed story, set in the Firefly 'verse created by the amazing Joss Whedon, and written in 2014. It has no relation to my other Firefly stories.

Usurer's Mercy is a completed story, set in the universe of The Merchant of Venice, by William Shakespeare, and written 2011-2012. As stated above, it now has a sequel - Friday Night Candles.

The Catalyst Client is a completed story, set in the Sherlock Holmes universe (books, not TV series or movies), written 2010-2011, and given a fairly thorough revision in 2014. It at one point had a sequel, but I decided it was too much of a mess and deleted it. I may someday write for that fandom again, though.

Communities

I manage a community, These Were Hidden Fires, which is a home for canonically-toned romance between Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson (Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, not BBC). I'm also on the staff of the Firefly Romance community, which contains a variety of pairings.
