![]() Author has written 4 stories for Night World series, Hey Arnold, and Glee. Hello wonderful world out there reading this right now! Okay so, if you've read that sentence up there then that means you've decided to look at my profile. Well I can tell you now, if you don't mind reading a whole lot of silly ramblings by a teenage girl then go on ahead. You have been warned. Hi, my name is Intan. If you're wondering if that sounds weird to you, just so you know I'm from Malaysia. What else should I mention? Well, for starters, I guess I'd just like to say that like most people I found here, I'm the black sheep of the family. Why? That, my dear reader, is simply because I'm the only one in my family who ever gives reactions to what I'm reading. Like, I like to smile when I read something sweet or romantic, I laugh out loud when I read something funny and I sometimes make a really sour face when I read something displeasing. I even cry when I read something sad, which I normally do in the privacy of my room, but once I accidently started cryng in class while reading about someone dying. You have no idea how hard it was trying to cover that up when everyone thinks you're crying over some guy, so in the end I had to explain to people why a book got me so emotional and stuff. Gaah, I hate when that happens. Oh well, I am who I am. And proud of it. :D I'm thinking that maybe I should tell you how I look and stuff so that the small voice that may echo in your head while reading this has a face to go with it. Where to start? Well, I have very wavy black hair that falls about halfway down my back. I have tanned skin, which used to be a lot fairer, if it weren't for this bloody sunshine and sunburn. My eyes are dark brown that look almost black and I wear glasses. (Surprise, surprise!) Though I feel pretty insecure about this, my nose is what you would call 'squashed' with a lack of a nice looking nose bridge. Something somehow I inherited from no one in particular in my family. I know what you're thinking; anyone in Asia could look like this, and I'm telling you now, you'd be right. Just remember one thing; I'm not Chinese, and I'm not Indian either. I'm a Malay. Never heard of us? Go Google it. I'm telling you, Google is probably one of the best things ever invented. Okay, so. Got the image thing settled? Awesome. :) Next, out of a lack of other things I could think to write of, I'll just tell you some of my interests. I know it's like some kind of stereotype that Asians just have to pick up some kind of musical instrument, and I have nothing against it, but why does it always have to the piano? I mean, where's the variation here people? Seriously. Well, if you're wondering, I do play a musical instrument, but I can assure you, it's not piano. Instead, I play the guitar. See? Don't expect me to be crouched over a set of keys playing a symphony from Mozart or something. =.= As you can probably guess, I just LOVE reading. I'm just the run-of-the-mill bookworm you can expect to be completely oblivious to what's happening around her when she's engrossed in a book. I particularly love the Night World series and the Old Kingdom trilogy. I used to be a total Twilight saga fanatic too, but recently my interest in the series has dulled. I'm not sure why, but somehow my passion for a certain book will lessen when it's movie equivalent comes out. Maybe it's the fact that what I imagined in my head won't stay there anymore. So don't hate me for saying this, but I really hope the Night World series and the Old Kingdom trilogy won't be produced into movies. It just ruins the whole magical effect the books have on your imagination, you know? Oh, maybe you don't. If you do, though, more props to you! :D Having said that though, I am looking forward to the Hunger Games premiere! We'll see how that tuns out (hopefully, good). Other than books? I'm a big fan of cartoons. Yes, cartoons. But not the kind you'll find on television right now, no. I love cartoons from the 90s like Rugrats and Hey! Arnold. As for animated movies, Pixar can never go wrong. :D TV shows. I'm a proud Gleek, there's no doubt about that. I'm reading Dalton at the moment, and can I just say that fic has completely changed my life? At one point I stayed up reading it instead of studying for my midterms the next day. Heck, I did it during the week of my trial exams. No regrets. Just Dalton. :) And Jogan. Speaking of Jogan, I ship them so hard they appear absolutely everywhere in my life. Pianos, lollipops, stars, hearts, movies starring Aaron Johnson, headphones, iPods, squids, coffee and many other things just hold an entirely different meaning to me now. No regrets, none at all. Stuart Trio for the win! Okay, I think I'm done rambling on about a whole lot of useless stuff. You know how it is, once I get started, it's hard to stop. Here's something I found on someone else's profile page. I thought it was pretty cool, so I'm posting it here too. Feel free to do it yourself. :) For people that hate stereotypes: If you think people should just shut up and stop, put this on your profile. (BOLD the ones you are.) I'm SKINNY, so I MUST be anorexic. I have a lot of FRIENDS, so I MUST love to drink and party. I'm an ALBINO, so I MUST be an evil person with mental abilities and is A MURDERER! So, that's all I'm gonna post for now. | |||||||
