![]() Author has written 68 stories for Pandora Hearts, Loveless, and Karneval/カーニヴァル. Latest update: (Dec 31, 2014) I haven't written fanfic in a while, as I've been concentrating on original fiction. My first novel, Pieces of Home, is now available for sale on Amazon. If you enjoy characters who don't fit gender stereotypes, you might enjoy my original fic as well. Old profile from 2011: Pandora Hearts inspired me to start writing fanfic...the characters are so well-developed and complex, and their relationships with each other are often quite fascinating. I'm especially fond of Xerxes Break, and I roleplay him on FB. I also blather about manga and anime on my Livejournal: http://. It's more important to me that my stories are easy and fun for people to read, than it is for me to be thought of as some kind of literary genius. I love writing crack, humor, angst, h/c, and smut. Some of my stories are lemons, some are yaoi/yuri, some are quite twisted, check the ratings, please, and heed the warnings. I’m not the sort of writer who has a fixed headcanon or storyworld. My ideas are always changing, so that’s why I can, for example, envision Break having his very first kiss ever with Alice in one story, or with Reim in another story. I can imagine him being a shy virgin, or a slut, or anything in between. The end result is that some of my stories contradict each other, but I’m not at all troubled by it. And if anything, I’d like to think “there’s something for everyone” in my story pile. Since I've started this adventure into the world of fanfiction I have noticed something. It seems one of the primary purposes of fanfiction is to say the things that are left unsaid in the manga/anime. People have an intense need to make certain things happen, make certain things be said. For example, if a character dies (or is rumored to have died), people need to see that character's closest friends grieving for them. If a character has been refusing to acknowledge how much he cares about someone else, people desperately want to see that happen. Fanfiction can make those things happen. Hopefully we all manage to do it in the most canon way possible, but since people often interpret things that happen in manga different ways, we sometimes disagree with each other's interpretations and therefore characterizations. This helps the make the world of fandom a richer place, in my view. total_alias has been beta reading my more recent stuff, and helping me immensely when my stories veer too far off into OOC crackland. Yay! A million thanks! |
