Author has written 14 stories for Ranger's Apprentice, How to Train Your Dragon, Artemis Fowl, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Bartimaeus Trilogy, and Fullmetal Alchemist. If anyone is wondering where the heck 'Sunrise, Sunset' went, it's been adopted by Iyceflame and Alycian. Updating Prediction: I will be updating whenever I can. I can't promise regular updates, although I can promise I'll try... I'm sorry, mostly, but I do have a life. And if I try to force myself to write anything, I will begin to hate it. I will not let writing become a chore instead of the pleasure it should be. I'm a young-ish teenager, a girl, and can go from exhausted to hyper in about one point four seconds flat. I also am ridiculously hyper after about 10:00 pm. Just by the way. I'm a bookworm and a writing fanatic. My mom has banned me both from reading and writing before. I'm not kidding. Though she's also grounded me TO it... O_o I'm pretty antisocial (aka RIDICULOUSLY awkward around other people), unless I'm with any of my three best friends or I'm hyper 'cause of sugar. Trust me, you don't want to see either. I get really crazy. Kay, I also talk too much and too fast. Just ask my friends. Movies: Alice in Wonderland 2010, How to Train Your Dragon, The Lightning Thief, Sorcerer's Apprentice, Harry Potter 7 part 2 and a couple others I can't remember right now. TV Shows: Hate TV, don't have cable, therefore, I've got zip in this category--Oh, except for Avatar: The Last Airbender, to which I have all three books on my computer. ^_^ Hobbies: Reading, writing, surfing the net, modular origami, daydreaming, not school work, etc. My favorite books: Ranger's Apprentice, Maximum Ride, Alex Rider, Percy Jackson, 13th Reality, Mistborn Trilogy, Hunger Games, Fruits Basket, Fullmetal Alchemist... I could go on for days. Basically, most fantasy or fiction books. Except the Twilight Saga. Stephanie Meyer is a complete weirdo, I don't know how she got this far in the author's career with that series... No, really, I'm serious. Acceptable pairings in said books: Ranger's Apprentice: Will/Alyss, Halt/Pauline, Horace/Evanlyn. Maximum Ride: Max/Fang (even though he deserves better), Max/Dylan (even though SHE deserves better), Iggy/Ella. Alex Rider: Alex/Sabina, Jack/Wolf. Percy Jackson: Percy/Annabeth!! Percy/Bianca (hey, I like it), Silena/Beckendorf, Grover/Juniper, Nico/Thalia, Nico/Gwendolyn, Jason/Piper, Sally/Paul. 13th Reality: Sophia/Sato (SO CUTE!!!). Mistborn Trilogy: Elend/Vin, Kelsier/Mare, Sazed/the lady he liked... (I don't remember her name). Hunger Games: Katniss/Gale, Katniss/Peta, Finnick/Annie. Fruits Basket: Kyo/Tohru, Yuki/Machi, Hatori/Mayu, Hiro/Kisa. Fullmetal Alchemist: EdWin, Al/Winry, Royai, Havoc/Riza, Olivier/Buckaneer. Favorite characters in said books: Ranger's Apprentice: HALT!!!!! (He's amazing!), Will, Alyss, Shadow, Trobar, Tug, Abelard. Maximum Ride: Fang. Tops. Angel, Nudge, Gazzy, Jeb. Alex Rider: Alex, Jack, K-Unit. Percy Jackson: Nico (I think I like emo guys... ?) Percy, Gwendolyn, Piper, Leo, Annabeth, Grover, Chiron, Zoe, Bianca, Apollo, Artemis, Luke, Thalia. 13th Reality: Sato (once again, emo guy), Paul, Tick, Sophia, Mothball, Rutger, Mr. Chu (the science teacher), Master George. Mistborn Trilogy: Kelsier! Vin, Breeze, Ham, Mare, Ten Soon (aw, poor little kandra). Hunger Games: Haymitch!!! Finnick, Gale, Peeta, Wiress, Johanna, Prim, RUE! Fruits Basket: KYO!!! MACHI, KISA, Hiro, Yuki, Haru, Kagura, Manabe, Saki Hanajima, Arisa Uotani, Megumi Hanajima, Hatori, Kyoko. Fullmetal Alchemist: Roy, Ed, Al, Olivier, Maes, Feury. I do not write slash. Please don't ask in any reviews. I also do not swear. My In-Progress Stories Ranger's Apprentice: Personal Grudge: I have abandoned this fandom and so might finish it if I ever come back. Trick of the Eyes: I have abandoned this fandom and so might finish it if I ever come back. RA Drabbles: List for the prompts is beneath Quotes. PM if you want me to do a particular one, whether it's on the list or not, I do requests! (So long as they're clean) I have abandoned this fandom but will continue this if I ever come back. How to Train Your Dragon: Destiny: ...Abandoned. Oops. Percy Jackson and the Olympians Son of Neptune: I have abandoned this fandom and since the book itself already came out, it's completely pointless to continue. Quotes "Da, da da, we're dead."-- Hiccup, from How to Train Your Dragon (best movie ever) "We got some diem to carpe!"-- Flick, from Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs (great movie, by the way) "There comes a time when patience ceases to be a virtue."-- Umm... my mom got it from my sister who got it from her teacher who got it from... no clue. "Given a choice, people will chose the choice."-- me, during a rare bout of wisdom... or craziness, I forgot which one this sprouted from "You can't see the whole painting if you only concentrate on a single brushstroke."-- my dad "When Egaugnal makes no sense, look at it backwards."-- me. "Closer than your jugular vein."-- a really weird quote I picked up in my World Religions class. Couldn't resist posting it. "The clock's broken. The minute hand has only moved thirteen times when it's been hours."-- me during that World Religions class. "All it takes is for one to see the truth, and then the world is shattered."-- a quote from the book I'm writing "Of course I'm talking to myself. Who else can I trust?"--IDK but they got it right! I am the girl...that doesn't go to school dances, or games, and when I do go, I sit in a corner and read a book. I am the girl that people look through when I say something. I am the girl that spends most of her free time reading, writing, or doing other activities that most teenagers wouldn't call normal. I am the girl that people call weird, and a freak either behind my back or to my face. I am the girl that doesn't spend all her time on MySpace, or talking to a girlfriend on a cellphone or regular phone. I am the girl that hasn't been asked out ever. I am the girl that has stopped to smell the flowers and jump and splash in the rain. I am the girl that loves rain and storms more than a sunny day, and not because she can't go out, but because she does go out. I am the girl that plays with stuffed animals despite her age. I am the girl that prefers novels to manga. I am the girl that doesn't try to hide her inner child. In case you need further proof that the human race is doomed because of stupidity, here are some actual label instructions on consumer goods: On a Myer hairdryer: "Do not use while sleeping". On a Swedish chainsaw: "Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands." (Was there a lot of this happening somewhere?) Girls Things people do on this website I hate (please take no offense, people! Though if you do... O.o) 1) Skipping out on writing summaries or writing 'summary inside'. Um... there's a box. And it's practically empty... Maybe you should do something about that. If the readers don't know what it's about, they most likely won't read it. 2) Flaming. Constructive criticism is fine. Blowing up in someone's face and making them feel horrible because you're bored, however, isn't. 3) One liner reviews. They just bug me. The emoticons (smiley faces and such) are cute and all, but if that's all you put, why did you review? A sentence or two doesn't take that long to write. 4) Favorites and alerts. Yeah, it gives the author warm fuzzies (usually) but do you have any idea how annoying it is when you get two favorites and two alerts and NO review? A review says more than favoriting does, and a sentance or two doesn't take long to write. 5) Bad grammar, spelling, the whole story in one paragraph... the works. If you're going to post it, make it worth posting. Don't get me wrong, I'm human, I make these kind of mistakes, but at least TRY to avoid this kind of thing. 7) Mary Sue, Gary Stu. Perfect character who mysteriously appears when they make no appearance in cannon whatsoever. Yes, I'm sure that many of my daydream characters are as such, but there's a reason I try not to let them show up in my fanfiction. If a character is too annoyingly perfect, I have a hard time reading the story. Yaaaaaaaayyyyy!!!!!! You read all the way down to here! You get a cookie. YOU'VE WON THE GAME!!! Yes, it's true. You're free. Go in peace. Umm, yeah. That's about all I can think of right now. I'll update this later when I'm bored...er. ^_^ --Rydd Rider |
