I first read 'Lord of the Rings' some 15 years ago, lent my copy of the book to someone I never met again since, and bought a new one after I saw the movie which pulled me all the way back to Middle Earth. I am quite new to the entire fanfiction business, and if someone had told me that I would ever write a story of my own, I would have called him mad or worse. Yet some of the stories I have found on this site and others (I hightly recommend http:// and http://) have set the plot-bunnies loose.

But I must warn you that I am SLOW to update; slow as in 'do-not-expect-an-update-faster-than-once-in-two-month'. I am terribly sorry about that, but I can't help it. I have a life outside fanfiction which can be quite demanding at times, but the stories I started never really leaves my head. As a means to prove that I am not spending two month (or ten) at a time in complete hibernation, I have created a LiveJournal at http:///users/fliewatuet. You can yell at me there so that I may speed up my writing;) Maybe I'll even manage to post a short preview there now and then.

Update 2006-11-04: Real Life and especially my job are still keeping me busy and my muses have left for an extended vacation. Furthermore, 'Doomed to Live' is undergoing a major revision and I won't continue posting until I have fixed the existing chapters to my liking. So don't expect any updates before the beginning of next year, but rest assured that I won't abandon the story.
