I laughed so hard at “Borafar” as well as “Elrond” and “Gil-Galad”. I have to say again, I love the humor in this story!

Legolas’ joke about eating Gimli is absolutely hilarious and then Gimli awakening to Glorfindel “eating him” to! Oh my goodness! This is absolutely great!I think this is one of my favorite chapters.

I really do think Gimli’s punishment is perfect.

This story just gets better each chapter! I love that there is a lot of humor since many lotr stories tend to have more seriousness than playfulness.
I absolutely love the fact that so many messages get distorted and the poor hobbits don’t know any better (elrond being bad, Legolas getting killed). they are very good at putting pieces together if only for the fact that their pieces of info are wrong. I just hope nothing to bad comes of the misunderstanding.

Also wanted to point out that dear Borofara probably wouldn't have known Eomer as 'Eadig'. I think that name was given to him after his son Elfwine was born. I believe his surname would have been Eomundson.

I know this was published quite a while ago, but I've just recently discovered the amazingness that is fan fiction, and have particularly enjoyed this story. I can't believe it was your first! You had me in stitches over the Legolas/Gimli cannibalism thing. And now, similar to your experience, I've caught the bug (or been bit by the Bunny?) and have started writing too! Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for writing this and sharing it with us!

I like the opening, but I don't believe that no dwarves killed elves during the first sack of Menegroth.

I really like this so far and it seems fairly canonical, but it would be easier to read if you used different numbers of asterisks for quotes and for other footnotes. As for Legolas' age, he probably had not been born at the start of the Third Age, but much of anything else is just a guess.
