![]() Author has written 6 stories for Teen Titans, Death Note, and Hetalia - Axis Powers. Greetings, fellow readers and writers. If anyone reads or reviews my stories please feel free to comment on how I can improve, how you liked it, or if you just want to give suggestions. Please be friendly though; kindness goes a long way. Oh, and, uh... LENXMIKU!! (Vocaloid) My Top Three Animes - - Death Note - Hetalia - No. 6 Other favorites - - Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood - RomeoXJuliet - Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) - Kyo Kara Maoh - Ouran High School Host Club - Uta no Prince-sama - Deadman Wonderland - Higurashi - Tactics ... and so on... Stories "Internet Sensation" was the first one that I worked on with my brother, in which he constructed half of the story's layout. It is a Romance/Humor type of story based around the "Teen Titans" series and it was a good start for me on how to become a better writer. I have definately improved, since this wasn't exactly what I would call 'great'... I'm kind of embarrassed by how bad the writing is. I did, however, enjoy the experience and realized that I have a true love for writing. My second, and complete, story is called "Bonding Experience", based on the "Death Note" series, and it mainly centers around Near and Mello. This story is a personal one, as it possesses bullying topics, my own experiences and thoughts, and spiritual influences. It begins with L (who also brought Light Yagami) having a simple visit at Wammy's, but, because of the unnatural behavior between Mello and Near, decides to take them on a trip to get them to cooperate. Matt comes along as friendly support, and Light is forced into going along. As the trip begins, Mello is more than disagreeing to even try and get along with Near. Near, on the other hand, wants to understand Mello and become somewhat of a friend of his (though he won't admit it). Matt is aware of this, and tries to urge Mello into understanding Near from a different perspective. As anyone might expect, Mello refuses to listen. After a few minor conflicts, a foolish decision is made. There are different sides of this meaning (with two of the characters and different situations), but which ones are involved? "Bonding Experience" is labeled as a Friendship/Spiritual type of story, but it includes more. Because I can only select two different categories on FanFiction, it is not possible to add more. Still, I will say that it is not only a Friendship/Spiritual, but also an Angst/Suspense type of story. I think it even involves a bit of Horror, but I would not base my story around that alone. I also wish I could have written a better summary for this story, but it was difficult to think of a way to describe, in short, on what it is. I am currently on hold on my "Death Note Short Stories" series. Anyone can be apart of it, if they wish, but I am busying myself with other projects and college. I am, indeed, working on a sequel for "Bonding Experience". It's title is called "Mortal Retribution". This story will take a little more time to develop, as it is far more complicated then "Bonding Experience" was, but I think it will turn out wonderfully enough. I certainly hope so. Its summary, you can read and get an idea of how this story is formed. The story I have now, that I have been working on, is a Hetalia story called "Getting To Know You". This short story features Iceland and Latvia and is about how the two nations formed a bond after the Soviet Union. Yes, 'formed', because it is a true fact in history that Iceland and Latvia are close in government. The two nations formed a Treaty of Tourism between them (Foreign Relationship Agreement), and have always been on good terms (The two nations also speak for the other. When Iceland's national bank collapsed, and nations like England and the Netherlands were accusing Iceland of fraud and owes, Latvia was the only nation who openly supported Iceland in basically saying, "Leave Iceland alone!"). As for the story itself, as they are 'getting to know each other' more officially, Iceland and Latvia are thrown into a rather... interesting... situation. There will also be a sequel for "Getting To Know You" that I have called "Storm". There will be more information on that story later. This is all my opinion, and I am voicing it. I mainly base Hetalia pairings based upon two nation's histories and currency. My very favorite pairings in Hetalia are these: Iceland/Latvia, America/Lithuania, Sweden/Finland, Norway/England, and Austria/Hungary (with the alternative Austria/Switzerland and Hungary/Poland) Research the history between these nations, then look at the character personifications' personalities, and it all makes sense. Yes, this is what I think; some of these are quite different than what popularity says... Especially when it comes to Iceland, for me. Above this pairing section is my reasoning for why I love Iceland/Latvia (along with more reasons). But that one pairing with Hong Kong? No historical accuracy, and I believe they are friends from the comic strip. I saw nothing that indicated a pairing in the first place, at all, and I still don't get it (I believe the creator drew them interacting because they are similar in personality and come from big 'family' groups; I like the idea of them as friends). And... Turkey? No. I'm sorry, but the only real history between Iceland and Turkey is not even good. Turkish pirates once abducted Icelanders... That's it. Great, right? The comics indicate nothing else, and their personification ages... and the look of it... I absolutely hate it, to be perfectly honest. With Norway, most fans go with Denmark and Norway. Honestly, if it happened, I could see it more so happening in the past when the kingdoms of Norway and Denmark were joined. After that, and in present times, not at all. That is just how I view it (In fact, I tend to see their relationship to be like the 'old college roommates' sort of thing). Norway broke away from that kingdom first, afterall, and Iceland actually stayed behind with Denmark for over a century more. England and Norway, however, have been on great, cultural grounds for centuries (Norwegian language helped form the English language, believe it or not), even back during the Viking period (after some raids, of course...). Another fact: When Nazi Germany invaded Norway, they banished the country's troops to England. There, English military trained Norwegian commandos to fight back against Germany. Norway won their fight, and, in appreciation to England, a Norwegian Christmas tree is sent to England every year for the holidays. To this day, the tradition continues. I just thought that was something very nice to share... Also, their personifications get along very well! Death Note characters - Light Yagami - I think his heart was in the right place at first, but he quickly became evil and psychotic. I could see this in the middle of the first episode. He had no right to judge who would live or not, and I only got even more of a bad sense when he said he would become God. Even though I hate how he operated, I fully admire how well his fiendish actions were developed. That is an amazing thing to pull of, in a villain. Whichever way you look at it, he is arrogant, a manipulator, sickeningly diabolic, and allowed himself to become so mad with power... In the last episode, however, I couldn't help but feel a slight pang of sympathy for his character's soul, though he got what was coming to him and well deserved it. L (Lawliet) - One of the best anime characters of all time, in my opinion. I love his character creation, and he is one of my absolute favorite characters in the series. He and his method of thinking are unusual, but that is what makes him so unique and amazing to observe. It's almost hard for me to say just how dynamic he is! I adore his pure, child-like innocence, within a lot of his actions. Ryuk - Hilarious character. I love the fact that he looks terrifying, but is completely harmless! He is a good character... but it is his fault that the world was thrown into a dark era of change. Misa Amane - She can get annoying from time to time, but I do have a soft spot for her. I feel terrible that Light used her for his own selfish purposes (in which she didn't mind, to begin with), because she genuinely did love him. I hate that she dedicated herself entirely to him, but he always led her on to make her think he had returned those feelings. I honestly think she deserved better. I know she brought the sadness upon herself, but it's still tragic. Rem - I think she is a loyal character. I liked that Rem always looked out for Misa, and I do not blame her for L's death. Light was the one who was truly responsible; he cornered Rem into doing it. Who knows, I might have done the same in a situation like that. Touta Matsuda - He is simply adorable. He does not think things through most of the time, and is rather clueless or reckless on some things, but I love his character. Almost every series has one... He is the lovable idiot. Near (Nate River) - He and L are my absolute favorites in the series... I do, however, gravitate towards Near more; he is my favorite. I don't think his character gets enough credit at all. Some fans will say that he is an imitation of L and nothing more, but I completely disagree. L's death represented that the good guys don't always win, and, while that greatly upset me, I found Near to be the one that tied everything together in the end. I don't care what the hateful fans say, he is intelligent and a remarkable character all on his own. I absolutely love him and I, like L, find him to have a pure and child-like innocence (Yes, I am serious; I saw that, in him). Mello (Mihael Keehl) - I must admit that I didn't like him at first, but he grew on me quickly. I like him very much. I can understand how he wants to shine too, but he shouldn't have hated Near over something so trivial. I believe that later on in the series, he had developed a soft spot for Near. When they had that conversation at the SPK headquarters, it seemed like he had--even though he was still giving the whole 'I have no intention of working with you' speech... Uh, huh. No matter how much he might have denied it, he probably grew to understand Near in a way... I would have loved to see more of him, and I really wish he and Near (along with Matt) could have worked together more openly. Matt (Mail Jeeves) - He is one of those characters you automatically like. I wish I could have seen more of him, but I do picture him to be a more silent, laid back, somewhat torpid, friendly sort of character. Teru Mikami - My first impression of his character was nothing short of, 'This can't possibly be good.' The portrayal of Mikami's past, and how he turned out, was truly frightening, in my eyes. He reveals how a personal brand of justice can be taken too far... He was very much like Light, in that aspect. It was rather unsettling. I will say, however, that he is a wonderfully created character. He's delusional, insane, overly dramatic... His characteristics are definitely what make him 'Mikami'. Kyomi Takada - I hate her, and she deserved a more horrible ending. Yes, I know, that is completely harsh... but, really, she is full of herself, a deceiver, liar, incredibly stupid for being so 'intelligent', and a murderer. Terrible character, absolutely repulsive. The topic of her character sets my blood on full boil, and it's rather obvious to anyone. This is something I truly believe here. I honestly believe that L and Near possess several of the characteristics and traits that can be related back to the autism and the form of autism known as Asperger's Syndrome. I, myself, have this syndrome and can relate many of my own characteristics back to L and Near. This is truly not a bad thing, by any means, of course. It makes me wonder if the creator actually intended for them to have those traits or not... I'm not sure, but I can really see it within their characters. If you are reading this, and curious, here is a link (below)to a page describing what Asperger's is--if you do not already know. Autism is linked directly to it. I really see more of the syndrome's aspects in Near, more so than L. Perhaps, if someone, who does not understand Near's character, comes across this, then maybe he/she will understand... I don't like seeing so much hate within the fanbase, for Near. You might be surprised with how much similarity Near and L display towards autism and Asperger's. http:///wiki/Asperger_syndrome There is a story, on this site, called "My Autistic Brother" and it is written by 'Deunan4eva'. It features Near and Mello, but is written from Mello's point of view. I find this story to be very well written, interesting, and informative of how autism can be for some people. autism, itself, varies. All in all, I completely recommend for anyone to read this story. It's very great. This report is from another Death Note fan and, whoever it is, he/she came up with a pretty good assumption. I mean, I like it. After researching the rules of the Death Note once again, I stumbled upon one that could help prove the fact that Matt and Mello did not die on their canon death day. The rule is: 'If writing the same name on more than two Death Notes is completed within 0.06 seconds, it is regarded as simultaneous; the Death Note will not take effect and the individual written will not die.' As found in How to Use: XV. This is the theory that I formulated: As Mello's death approaches, Sidoh is watching from the sidelines. He sees the date above Mello's head and realizes that the blond has very little time left. So, as he watches Mello drive the truck to Nagano, Sidoh travels to the human world, takes out his Notebook, and writes Mello's real name down. Sidoh is doing this because since Mello has at one point owned his Death Note, Mello can be considered as an owner of the Death Note. Since another rule states that the only god of death that can kill the owner of the Notebook is the one who gave their Notebook up in the first place, Sidoh thinks that it's his responsibility to end Mello's life(as Ryuk does to Light later on in the book). At the same time Sidoh is just finishing writing 'Mihael Keehl,' Takada is also hurrying to write Mello's name in the scrap of the Notebook. The two finish writing the 'l' at exactly the same time, causing the first mentioned rule to take place. Meanwhile, Mello is fully expecting to be killed by Takada. He becomes confused when it takes longer than it should, then realizes that something must have gone wrong. Excited that he may continue to live, Mello fakes his death, purposely crashing the truck into Nagano. Knowing Light would want to erase any evidence, Mello quickly escapes and manages to get away while the church burns in the distance. He finds a way to get back to where the kidnapping had first taken place, following the route that Matt was supposed to take. When he reaches the clearing where Matt's car is at, riddled with bullet holes, he rushes to the redhead. A quick check at the redhead's pulse assures him that Matt is still alive, merely acting as if he had been shot down, whereas he'd actually been wearing a bullet proof vest. The blood stains are from his arms, which were unprotected by the vest and hit by three bullets, since most of the bodyguards had been aiming for his chest. The blood soaks nearly his entire outer vest, making it appear as if he'd been shot in the chest. Mello picks Matt up and rushes to the nearest hospital where the hacker can be fixed up. In the safe confines of a new apartment somewhere secluded, the two, both alive, watch as Kira is finally put to an end by Near. ... They should now go and show Near that they aren't dead. Really. Things to do on an Elevator 1) CRACK open your briefcase or handbag, peer Inside and ask "Got enough air in there?" 2) STAND silent and motionless in the corner facing the wall without getting off. 3) WHEN arriving at your floor, grunt and strain to yank the doors open, then act as if you're embarrassed when they open themselves. 4) GREET everyone with a warm handshake and ask him or her to call you Admiral. 5) MEOW occasionally. 6) STARE At another passenger for a while. Then announce in horror: "You're one of THEM" - and back away slowly. 7) SAY 'DING' at each floor. 8) SAY "I wonder what all these do?" And push all the red buttons. 9) MAKE explosion noises when anyone presses a button. 10) STARE, grinning at another passenger for a while, then announce: "I have new socks (or underwear)on." 11) WHEN the elevator is silent, look around and ask: "Is that your beeper?" 12) TRY to make personal calls on the emergency phone. 13) DRAW a little square on the floor with chalk and announce to the other passengers: "This is my personal space." 14) WHEN there's only one other person in the elevator, tap them on the shoulder, then pretend it wasn't you. 15) PUSH the buttons and pretend they give you a shock. Smile, and go back for more. 16) ASK if you can push the button for other people but push the wrong ones. 17) HOLD the doors open and say you're waiting for your friend. After a while, let the doors close and say "Hi Greg, How's your day been?" 18) DROP a pen and wait until someone reaches to help pick it up. Then scream: "That's mine!" 19) BRING a camera and take pictures of everyone in the lift. 20) PRETEND you're a flight attendant and review emergency procedures and exits with the Passengers. 21) SWAT at flies that don't exist. 22) CALL out "Group hug" then enforce it. 23) SCREAM 'rat', or 'roach', and see what happens. 24) GRIMACE in pain, while smacking your own forehead, and mutter, "Shut up, shut up, all of you just shup up!" 25) WHEN the doors close, announce to the other passengers, in a forced, calm tone, "It's okay, don't panic, they'll open again!" (Eh, why not give these a shot? I would love to see anyone actually attempt to try any of these and not get into trouble.) |
