My favorite genres to read are low fantasy and horror, emphasis on the latter. That's not to say that I write either of them well. The genres I feel that I write best are drama and humor. It's unimaginably frustrating. On the topic of romance: I have to carefully monitor the way I write it because I have a bad tendency to fall into sappy cliches and OOC. Because I have to be so hyper-vigilant to produce anything even marginally readable, I tend to shy from it.

I love constructive criticism and need lots of it. Like many people on this site, I aspire to one day publish something, and I'll never achieve acceptable quality unless someone tells me what I'm doing wrong. I can only be so critical on my own before eventually I hit my head on the ceiling, so a third party's take on things is always appreciated.

I like raspberry iced tea, dark chocolate, spending time with my family, and avoiding doing any actual work at all costs.
