Hi, my name is bandmum, and I am addicted to Twilight. (The first step is in acknowledging the problem. Too bad I don't see any problem to acknowledge!)

I am married with three kids. I love reading & have recently discovered that I enjoy writing.

'Choices' was my first fic. I began it as a writing exercise that became a one-shot. Once it was done, I kept wondering what might have happened next after Edward decided to stay away. When the obvious answers came, so did the resulting consequences, and I had to tell the rest of the story.

Synopsis: Edward managed to not kill Bella in Biology class and decided he couldn't risk staying in Forks. When the rest of the Cullens left as well, Bella suspected it had something to do with her, but what? Ten years later they meet again and Edward sees how his leaving has affected Bella's life. How much of life is controlled by our choices and how much is fate? AU, canon vampire pairs, no wolves.

I do use playlists when I write, however they usually contain anywhere from 25-50 songs. If anyone really wants them, I may post the most pertinent songs from each. I did a lot of background work on this story, mapping out exactly where Bella's apartment and Jake's garage are, using many real Seattle locations, and extensively researching the medical references in order to be as accurate as possible.

'Glory' is a one-shot written for a charity compilation, put together to assist a member of the fandom. Along with the many amazing friends I've made, the way people come together to help each other is the best thing about this fandom. The passion the books brought into our lives shines forth and brings us all together.

Synopsis: Edward is a has-been, washed up rocker, drifting in his search for one more hit song and some meaning to his life. One beautiful brunette may just be what he needs to find both. AH

The playlist I listened to consisted of the film scores for Water for Elephants, New Moon, Twilight, Eclipse, and Remember Me, and just about every love song on my i-tunes. I still have it in my phone and listen to it often. There are fewer real places in this story, but it was nice to again virtually visit Seattle. It's one of my favorite places that I have never been.
