![]() Hi, and welcome to my profile. Gee... nothing much to say except for favorites and all of that, so let's get started. The image of my avatar was originally drawn by OrlandoFox on tumblr, aka TheDoggyGal on deviantart. It is used with permission from the artist. UNFORTUNATELY, this very site cropped out the watermark when I uploaded it! *grinds teeth* I wanted to KEEP that watermark on. Also, due to the not-so-recent deal with being unable to access forums from Profiles... http://www.fanfiction.ws/myforums/VulpineSnow/1450677/ Favorite Anime: Hellsing (both the original, not-manga-faithful anime and Ultimate) FLCL Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann .hack//SIGN Black Jack (the TV series) Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Zero Favorite Games: Suikoden (I, III, IV, Tactics, and Tierkreis. EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER IN UNDERTALE, especially Asriel, Undyne, Alphys, and Frisk. There are others, but I can't think of all of them. ( ) ( ) This is Bunny. Copy and paste Bunny into your profile to help him gain world domination.
If you've ever asked a really stupid, obvious question, copy and paste this one your profile. If you ever pushed on a door that said "Pull" copy this into your profile. If you ever tripped over your own feet, copy this into your profile If you hate those obnoxious snobby people, PLEASE copy this into your profile. If you think you ARE one of those obnoxious snobby people that you hate so much, please copy into your profile. If you don't have a problem with homosexuality, so long as you are not a target of affection or lust, copy and paste this into your profile. Challenges: No Challenges at this point. Current, as Sarah1281 puts it, Fan-Fiction Pet Peeves (Warning, some copy-pasted from Sarah's profile): Stories with a 'forgotten' character:It could be a 'forgotten' Marauder, a 'forgotten' Animorph, a 'forgotten' shinobi...I hate it when people add new characters to a story (in general, really, but this is worse) and claim that they're forgotten. Like the character is in the story and it all really happened...but for some reason no one ever mentioned them ever. People just didn't care or forgot. It's really, really stupid and seeing story summaries advertising 'Meet Mary Sue the forgotten _' annoys me to no end. If you're going to insert a new character, fine. Why make them 'forgotten'? If no one felt the need to talk about them before as they were 'forgotten' then guess what? It was probably for a reason. Namely: they just aren't as memorable and awesome as you think they are and maybe they should be left forgotten. (Word for word copy-pasted from the profile of Sarah1281) Blatant Over-the-top Character Bashing: It's perfectly fine for a parody to go all out. For a character that Harry doesn't like it's acceptable, so long as it's not over-the-top. For instance, Ron might be immature, but then, he's eleven. It doesn't mean he never grows up and will continue to act like he's eleven all the way up until he's seventeen. He might have some jealousy issues, that doesn't mean he's a horrible person. Snape might be horrible to Harry, but Harry's horrible back and doesn't actually try in Potions. And engineered a potentially lethal potions accident so Hermione could steal from him in second year. Either way, if Snape were that obviously evil, Dumbledore would have noticed it. Dumbledore may be old and doesn't like to tell anyone anything if he can help it, but he obviously cares about Harry. When Dumbledore learned how Voldemort came back, he knows Harry won't have to stay dead and he tries to help people by manipulating them, not just because he gets a kick out of it. And he's NOT unreasonable. If Harry can give him a better option, he'll take it. (Copy-pasted from the profile of Sarah1281) None the less, I have begun to truly express this opinion, not just toward Harry Potter fanfiction, but any fandom I'm interested in. - Naruto-exclusive Fanfiction Pet Peeves: Everyone blames and hates on Sasuke for being revenge-obsessed without attempting to help: Seriously. His beloved older brother just brutally murders almost everyone he knows, tells him he's pathetic, tells him to seek revenge, and then tortures him with 72-hours of nonstop carnage. This is an eight-year-old kid all on his own with nothing else to do, really. Yeah he makes some really stupid choices and is really obsessive, but if no one is around to offer any sort of guidance and just expects him to 'get over it'...that's just not going to realistically happen, is it? Of course, if people do consistently try to get through to him and he wants nothing to do with it, that's another story... (Copy-pasted from the profile of Sarah 1281) Naruto brings Sasuke back after the Valley of the End and gets exiled for nearly killing him: Sasuke was trying to defect from the village! To go to Orochimaru! Who just killed the Third! I get that most people had massive Uchiha-love, but the council (who would, I suppose, be responsible for such matters) were all fully aware of what pricks they all were and knew all about the whole attempted coup! Additionally, why on Earth would they banish their resident jinchuuriki (who, as the nine-tails, was technically the strongest) so not only would he not be protecting them but he might even turn against them? (Copy-pasted from the profile of Sarah1281). True, I wrote this at the beginning of a story, but I was an idiot whom didn't know better, and if I ever pick the story back up, will likely be writing the characters acknowledging was an epic fail that is. Non-Fanfiction Plot Elements I found to be Player-Punches or caused me to drop from the fandom (There Will Be Spoilers): KotOR and TOR: Revan's Deeds Undone - Revan went from Jedi, to Sith, to Hero, to Zero, in that order. I enjoy the Old Republic games thoroughly, but so much good done in the previous games is undone for the sake of drama in this MMO. The Promised Ones that wanted to find that Promised Land and had the anti-Rakghoul serum? Didn't matter. Yeah. They suffer and die out because of the Taris Bombardment taking out the power supplies of the planet. Destruction of the Star Forge? Yeah, turns out that during his Sith days he had a back-up being crafted on Nar Shadaa. Oh, you get to free him as a Republic Character? "Good News", now you have to fight him as a Sith because he's gone genocidal and doesn't seem to grasp the whole 'defection' thing some Sith have done. Bleach: Ichigo is part-Quincy - This caused me to drop it... I just couldn't take it. He's part-Quincy, and he's been, apparently, using a Quincy power-source from the start. Naruto: Sasuke Uchiha, the Easily-Forgiven - Now, I'm no longer a basher of this character, but the whole way the writing has been bent over backwards to 'redeem' this character just irks me so much. A SMALL UPDATE: I have wiped away all my old stories due to lack of quality and updates. The Guest reviewers were right in that they were not good... They could have been less antagonistic about it, but they were right. So, there we go. Apologies to any that bothered to fave them and try to keep updated. To Sacrifice for Life was an eyesore started from a "challenge" premise that involved heavy bashing and I was trying to avoid cliches too much, Beasts of Zero was repetitive and people barked at me for knowing all the lore of both worlds (or believes "Nightmare Moon wouldn't be that cruel" or thinks the way I wrote characters reflected my view of a show, or because it's text can't quite read when an author's note is in jest), Love's Aftermath is a big ol' personal shame I should have deleted a long time ago, especially after the whole death of the admittedly convoluted Archie Comic Sonic series, and Dancer in the Dark was just... ugh. If I ever write stories again, there's going to be a bit of quality control is all I'm saying. |
