![]() Author has written 6 stories for X-Men: The Movie, Battlestar Galactica: 2003, and Watch Dogs. What's there to say? I'm not sure but I may have the distinction of being one of the very few writers who ignored a story for 10 years and then picked it up again. Go me! Of course, I've ignored it again for a bit...maybe, someday? I read ff somewhat regularly for a wide range of movies, books, and video games depending on my mood or what movie/book/video game I've been into recently. I love the good, the bad and the neutral: Loki (Marvel MCU), Wrench (Watch Dogs 2), Dorian and Cole (Dragon Age Inquisition), Frank Pritchard (Deus Ex), Severus, Draco and Harry (Harry Potter), Logan (X-Men, Movies), Johnny Rayflo (Vassalord), Erik (POTO), Pyro (X-Men, Movies), Felix Gaeta (BSG), Prince of Persia (all of them, video games and now, a movie), Conner (Primeval) and Hatter (SyFy's Alice 2009). And, since DMC5 came out, V, though I've always been a fan of Vergil so that's probably not much of a surprise. I like to write on occasion, when I get a story in my head that won't leave me alone. I don't actually have time for fanfiction but I'm addicted. But, since it's at the bottom of my hobby list, it gets ignored pretty regularly. I'm a total angst whore, so many stories will involve rather mean things happening to any unfortunate (fictional) souls who fall under my pen. I don't, however, like tragedy, so most stories will have a happy ending and I'm not likely to kill off any major characters. Generic Disclaimer for all stories I write: Well, actually, I think disclaimers are an exercise in futility. Suffice it to say that I doubt I'd be writing fan fiction if I owned any of these characters since, technically, it wouldn't be fan fiction then, it would be original fiction. Current Stories (This is sort of accurate. I haven't given up on them yet.): Cold Comfort: X-men, Movie-verse. Started as a narrative-type bio about John's childhood and is now moving into an adventure/suspense story about John as he tries to figure out what he believes, where he belongs, and how he can get there. No romance to speak of in this one, although the sequel will have a bit in it, if I get that far. Speaking of which, there will only be a sequel if I can cattle-prod my muse into sustaining her interest for that long. Explanation of my take on the movie time frames: Movie I: To me takes place over a few months, if you include the very beginning with Marie's mutation kicking in. Rogue runs away from home and makes her way all the way up to Canada before hooking up with Logan. The time they spend at the institute seems really condensed to me during the movie itself, probably to keep the pace of the movie up and the plot moving along. But, the idea that Logan and Rogue show up at the institute and then she's already in class by what looks like the next day, seems a bit quick, so I estimated at least a week for them to get somewhat settled before John and Logan have their chat in "Ping Pong." The rest of the movie follows this scene. Movie II: "The Storm" takes place just before the beginning of the second movie. The second movie actually seems to move along quite quickly and, the timing in the movie itself follows along nicely, in my opinion. I get the impression that we're talking three days or so for the movie AND the time frame of the movie (if that makes sense). No other chapters fit into this movie because it's too quick and it covers anything that I might handle for John in this time period. Movie III: Is another sweeping storyline, even moreso than the first. I would estimate several months for this one. There will be one chapter that covers the time between Movie II and Movie III then all the rest of the chapters fall within the timeline of this movie, although I have no plans (at this point) to include any movie scenes within the story. At least one or two scenes will probably skirt around some of the movie scenes (sort of like missing scenes, in my view, to help flesh out John's character a bit more). Kill Processes or Delete Child: Watch Dogs 2, videogame. Multi-chapter fic about Wrench butting heads with his family, making a new friend, romance with a good chance of a bit of smut (possibly OC, more likely Marcus), and some resolutions over his past. It's looking more and more like I won't be able to completely clear up all his family issues in this story so there's a possibility I'll carry it into a sequel, but I'm such a slow publisher, that may never happen. I did, however, do a one-shot origin sort of story for Wrench called 'Home Sweet Home' which, in restrospect, it a silly name. Elika: Patience brings rewards. Prince: So does walking into a harem covered in chocolate. |
