I loved this story- solid balance between character development and high-tension action, Garrus taking the lead and being heroic (rather than quivering in awe of Super Shepard), and a tenderness between the two as they broach this change in their relationship.

Very enjoyable story, well done.

Just had to stop and say that this was a great fic and I quite enjoyed it. You balanced action and dialogue, and emotion and tension, quite masterfully. And in the interest of full disclosure, I'm a sucker for best-friends-turned-romantic-interest stories in the first place. ;) But out of all the short fics I've read, this was one of the best!

This is one of the best Mass Effect stories I've read, and believe me, I've read a lot. It was unarguably perfect in every way. Thank you for taking the time and effort to write this.

I don't tend to review stories (I know that's pretty awful since you guys take such time and effort to write them)but I wanted to let you know how much I really enjoy your story. I'm getting ready for Spring semester to start and with that comes huge amounts of historical reading (I'm a history major in my junior year)and this story has been one of very few that has relaxed me and kept me enthralled all at the same time. Not sure if this came off quite the way I wanted it to but I want to reiterate a hardy 'thank you' from one burned out history writer to another fantastic fiction writer. :)
