Hi there, Internet. How's it going? I realize I haven't been here in a while, because...? Because. I don't know why. Because I'm fickle. In no particular order, here's a list of things you should know about me:

1. My relationship with fandom is... complicated, and by that I mean that fictional universes are my home and my escape and my abusive lover all in one. It's a fun time. I wrote a twenty-page memoir about fandom two years ago and I still can't figure out exactly what it means to me-- when I can, I'll let you know, but until then suffice it to say that I can't quite imagine my life without it. I would probably be a whole lot more productive and a whole lot less strange.

2. However, not understanding my relationship with fandom doesn't stop me from rambling about it. Endlessly. To anyone who'll listen, and probably to quite a few people who aren't listening. It's one of the few times where just about anyone can get me to talk. (My relationship with specific fictional characters is even more complicated than my relationship with fiction itself, so never ask me about Kyoya Otori or Franziska von Karma or Remus J. Lupin unless you have several hours to kill.)

3. I go by Echo pretty much everywhere-- I respond to it IRL, in fact, so if you're wondering what to call me that would be it.

4. I like slash. Kind of a lot. It's an issue. I try not to be an obnoxious yaoi fangirl, I try not to giggle like a moron anytime the slightest bit of gay subtext shows up anywhere, but... it's hard, guys. It really is. That's, of course, not to say I hate het or anything-- I don't, and there are definitely het pairings I like same as there are slash pairings I can't stand. But the vast majority of the pairings that make me giggle like a moron as previously mentioned? Yeah. Slash. You know.

5. My favorite things include werewolves, roller coasters, musicals, chocolate, and Batman. My least favorite things include incorrect grammar, horror movies, exercise, and lack of Batman. That should possibly be two things.

6. I'm currently going through some older things before I move on to posting things I'm currently working on-- if you're interested in what I'm posting, which somehow I doubt you are.
