![]() Author has written 24 stories for Doctor Who, Torchwood, and Life on Mars. Hello, lovely people! Just to let you know, yes, I am still alive! I'm so sorry for my extended absence from this site, but life has a way of getting complicated. Most of all, I'm sorry for dropping out of touch, and for all the beautiful reviews and PMs that I haven't been able to answer. I just want you all to know that I appreciate every single one of them. And I promise from now on, I shall be more available to answer future communications! Also, as a bit of a plug, if anyone is interested in Doctor Who roleplay, you should pop over and visit us at http : // whoniverserp. proboards. com (you'll need to take the spaces out of the web address, of course). We're a very active and friendly community, made up of some of the most excellent writers I've come across. So if you're up for a little roleplay fun in this fandom, we'd love to have you! Hi there. Just thought I should list the "One Moment in Time" series in order for anyone who is following it: 1. One Moment in Time (complete) Summary: Tejanakaturadilena (Tejana for short) is the Doctor's daughter, born from an arranged marriage between two noble Gallifreyan families and who was still a child in the Academy when her father was forced to leave his home planet. She's travelled off and on with the Doctor and has known the Master all her life. So what if she ended up with the evil Time Lord on Gallifrey on the Last Day of the Time War and they both needed each other to escape? Master/OC 2. The Portal of Eternity (complete) Summary: Tejana is now living on Earth, trying to put her life back together. Still haunted by the atrocities she witnessed at the Fall of Gallifrey, she is attempting to rebuild Torchwood with Jack. However, Jack is himself still badly damaged from the 456 incident and Tejana's beloved father, the Doctor, has regenerated into a stranger. Worst of all, whether she likes it or not, she is still deeply grieving the loss of the Master. But the destruction of Gallifrey has changed the balance of the Universe, and something ancient and unimaginably evil has returned, something which will change everything... Master/OC 3. So Many Things Should Have Been Different (complete) Summary: Tejana is now travelling with the Master, despite the odds stacked against them. But when they are forced to return to Earth, the past comes back to haunt them. Will it destroy their future...or does the Universe even still have a future? Master/OC 4. Return to The Valiant (complete) Summary: The Master has used the Cardiff Rift to send himself and Tejana back to The Year That Never Was, with the aim of using his knowledge of events to change the outcome and conquer the Universe. But the Rift is very unstable and unpredictable. Unbeknown to the Master, something else has come through with them. And this time around, he just may not be the "biggest bad" on board The Valiant. Master/OC. 5. The Master's Rose (complete) Summary: The Master and Tejana have landed on the planet Mnemosyne, a strange, secret place where it's possible for things long ago forgotten to once again be remembered. To the Master's shock, he begins to realise that what he remembers of the Time War might not actually be what happened at all. Someone on Mnemosyne knows the truth. Someone wants the Master to remember. But there are some things that are much, much safer left forgotten...Master/OC. 6. Falling Out Of The World (in progress) Summary: An impossible place, an impossible time, an impossible decision...Master/OC 7. A Twisted Fairytale (complete) Summary: "Tick tock, goes the clock, Now what would we rather? Tick tock, goes the clock, a child without a father. Tick tock, goes the clock, Time runs ever faster. Tick tock, goes the clock, especially for the Master". What if, as the puppets foretold, the Master died on Mnemosyne, leaving Tejana pregnant and alone? Just how far would she be prepared to go to see him just one more time? Master/OC, AU of "The Master's Rose". 8. Crackety Crack (complete) Summary: Humorous, cracky one-shot set in the "One Moment in Time" series. The Master faces his worst nightmare. Master/OC. 9. A Christmas Wish (complete) Summary: Kiriban one-shot for Omniac, set in the "One Moment in Time" series. What happened on Christmas Day 2008, after the reversal of 2013-Master's temporal displacement in "Return to the Valiant". Jack/OC/Master. 10. My Bad Bad Angel (complete) Summary: Kiriban one-shot for iLuvTwiBoyz, set in the "One Moment in Time" series. Set just after the Doctor steals the TARDIS and runs away from Gallifrey, leaving his young daughter behind. Tejana is now eight years old and must face the Untempered Schism alone. But maybe she's not quite as alone as she thinks, as she receives an unexpected visit from a stranger. Master, OC. 11. A Deadly Assassin (complete) Summary: Kiriban multi-chapter fic for Aietradaea, set in the "One Moment in Time" series. Re-working of the Tom Baker episode "A Deadly Assassin" to show events from Tejana's point of view. Fourth Doctor, OC, Master. 12. Just One Trip (in progress) Summary: Kiriban multi-chapter fic for SlytherinPrincess123, set in the "One Moment in Time" series. Set after the episode "Waters of Mars" and before "The End of Time". Tejana, the Doctor's daughter, is living in Cardiff and working with Torchwood, when her father turns up unexpectedly and asks her to go with him in the TARDIS for "just one trip". But travelling with the Doctor is never that simple and, as usual, things spiral out of control. So what exactly were the Doctor and Tejana doing when the 456 came to Earth, leaving Jack, Gwen and Ianto to face the alien threat on their own? And why did the Doctor name a galaxy 'Alison'? Maybe because, some days, no matter how hard he tries, not everybody lives. This is that story. Ten, OC. VERY IMPORTANT LINKS: AMAZING FAN-ART: If you are following the "One Moment in Time" series, you have to check out the spectacular fan-art one of my long-time reviewers, Omniac, has done for "Return to the Valiant" - it's a picture of the Master and Tejana together and I think it's amazing. Here's the link: http:///?qh=ion=&global=1&q=combatantno1#/d3c5pce I actually love it so much that I am (with the artist's extremely generous permission) currently using it as my avatar!!! MORE AMAZING FAN-ART: SlytherinPrincess13 has drawn a picture of the Master and the newly-regenerated Tejana and it's simply stunning!!!! Check the full picture out here: http:///#/d3li5ng. And please, leave her some feedback - she's a young artist starting out and needs to be told just how awesome she really is!!! AND: Dryu was kind enough to draw me a piccy of Tejana regenerating for my birthday (which made me feel incredibly special, so thankyou!!!) Here it is: http:///art/Tejana-s-Regeneration-265702951?q=gallery&qo=1 PLUS: CookieCakeMonster has drawn a terrific family picture of the "Could-Have-Been" Tejana and Master with their son, here, as well as a portrait of Tejana herself, here. I appreciate it very much, so lovely of you, thank you :) LAST, BUT DEFINITELY NOT LEAST: The wonderful Aietradaea has written some of her amazing "Bloopers" parodies for this series, which are a humorous behind-the-scenes look at some of my chapters. Check it out here: http://www.fanfiction.ws/s/6789918/1/Time_Waits_For_No_Woman She's also drawn some lovely fan-art for "Return to the Valiant", where the Master faces himself in the Untempered Schism. Here is the link: http:///messages/#/d5as0om Other stories: I have also written two unrelated Doctor Who one-shots: "Because the Sadness Will Last Forever" and "On That Day", which are loosely based on the Vincent van Gogh episode in Series 5. Also, a two-shot, based on the time Amy and Rory spent in Leadworth after the episode "A Good Man Goes to War", waiting for the Doctor to rescue Melody and bring her back to them - it's called "Waiting All Over Again." And a short adventure story, with very short chapters, starring Eleven, Rory and Amy, called "Exelica", which is currently in progress. Lastly, there is a Doctor Who/Life on Mars Crossover: "Visiting Mars", which is finally complete. There is some cover-art for this one here: http:///art/Visiting-Mars-261649894 Reviewing Policy: The bottom line is that I don't read as much as I should. I get very busy, so I tend to write more than I read, purely because of the relaxation factor. However, I do try to review everything I do read, if I can find anything remotely positive to say about it - otherwise I just vote with my feet. I am much more likely to read stories if the authors have reviewed mine, because a familiar name is more likely to attract my attention than a stranger's. I will not Favourite or Alert a story unless I have reviewed it first, as that is a pet hate of mine - PLEASE DON'T DO IT TO ME EITHER! If people like a story enough to Favourite or Alert it, they should be able to type a few words in the form of a review. It is my policy to respond personally to every review I receive, as I think that is showing the proper appreciation to people who have taken the time to comment. On the other side of the coin, if I review something of yours and you don't bother to respond, I will assume you are not interested in anything I have to say and I will probably never review anything of yours again (sorry, that's just how I feel about it - don't say I didn't warn you.) However, if I like something and I receive appropriate acknowledgement for my comments, I will most likely review every chapter you write. I absolutely adore reviews and appreciate each and every one I get - there are some fantastic people out there whom I hear from regularly and they are all totally amazing. So thanks again, guys, you rock! Favouriting Policy: If you are looking around this page, you will probably notice that my Favourites List is not very long. This is because, for me to favourite a story, it has to be more than just good, it has to really resonate with me. If your story is good, I will happily tell you so in my review. But to end up on my Favourites List, it has to do something unexpected, like make me cry (such as "Ashes", by Madame Seabush, the first thing I ever faved), or make me laugh out loud (such as "Whoops!" by Sarah Kennedy) or be really memorable in some other way. Basically, these are the fics I could happily read over and over again, and often do. So thank you very much to the people who wrote all those amazing stories on my "List" - your talent is simply spectacular! Thanks for reading and ciao for now!!! |
