Author has written 27 stories for Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Inheritance Cycle. Die, ads, die (stab stab) Capitalism has a lot going for it, but unsolicited advertisements are evil. We hates them, yes precious, we hates them forever ... 7-29-08: Yeah, I'm back. Sort of. I dropped one on here that I had sitting on my hard drive. Not great, but what can I say. I promised to write a bit of fluff for a friend, but for some reason inspiration isn't striking. hmmph. 12-10-07: I thought fanfiction had eaten my brain when I wrote an angsty Snape fic. (What can I say, it was camping out in my head and wouldn't leave.) I was wrong. Last night I had a dream that I was sitting at the computer and writing a fic. Does it get any weirder than that? It was a good story, too ... until I woke up. I think the stress of finals week/term papers is at least partly to blame, though. 11-20-07: I've been busy. Glad to see I still have fans. I love you all, you make my day brighter! I may put up some more goodies after National Novel Writing Month ... provided I have any brain cells left to spare, between that and my upcoming university exams. 10-24-07: Whoa, looking back it seems like I've written quite a load. 30k words and then some, plus more on my computer that nobody here is seeing. Is that scary or what? If there was anything left of the proverbial fourth wall, I think I just killed it. 10-1-07: It's national Banned Books Week! Celebrate your freedom of speech. Open a bottle of butterbeer and pass me the good stuff. Oh, and please call your congresspeople and tell them to kill the Patriot Act. It's none of Uncle Sam's business what books you read. 9-28-07: My soul has now officially been eaten by fanfiction. Because I wrote an angsty Snape fic. And posted it. Happy now? (No, not really, you're probably all, like, dressed in black and threatening suicide. Get over it. Fortunately this is fictional.) That piece is getting taken down just as soon as I come to my senses. Which could take a while. 9-18-07: Slow updates are because school has begun and I am busy. I'm a university student and I have a lot to do, plus it's harder to write fanfic if you don't have the actual books handy. And in a dorm, space counts, so I can't devote tons of shelf room to all my favorite novels. Sorry, friends. I'm still writing, just not as frequently as before. Note: Currently collecting some fics about Fawkes on my favorites list. If you know of any good ones, feel free to drop me a message. Note: I'm currently compiling a list of fics that mix Harry Potter's world with history, mostly stuff about Grindelwald and the Second World War. Feel free to drop me a line if you know of any. That's why my favorites list contains a handful right now, even ones that aren't very good. I'm working on a c2 archive. Please put reviews on my fics. Please do not spam, just review. Thanks. I love it when people review. (-blows kisses-) Even though I might not reply, I read every single one of them. You people totally make my day, I'm serious. You are the reason why I bother posting this stuff, instead of scribbling it in a notebook and burying it in some deep dark box. huh? What's up with some of those odd fragments I post? Nothing, really, they just hit me in the head and I have to write them down, and I thought they might as well go here on fanfiction.net and amuse someone other than me. Some of them I think are quite good, some aren't so terrific but I hope none of them are truly bad. I usually take down the really poor ones after a little while. You won't see me on the forums here, because I don't have that kind of time. If you wanna tell me something, please feel free to post a review or send a message. I read them all, even if I don't reply! Barring a serious change of heart from me, you are unlikely to find any of the following in my work: slash, outrageously improbable 'ships, time travels, Mary Sues, crossovers, mind/body switches, slumber party games, self-harm, bondage/dominance stuff, or events that are clearly and obviously non-canon. Unless I'm doing a parody on crack, that is. As far as that goes, I make no promises. (Why DO fans write and read those types of fics so often? Some psychology major ought to write a long boring thesis about it.) If I'm going to play in a published world, then I generally stick to the terms of that world. If that makes you happy, great. (By the way, you have permission to snark me if you find a detail in a story of mine that's definitely wrong. I have occasionally done that.) I also try to avoid excessive angst in my fics, because let's face it, I'm not a teenager any more, and soapy melodrama is not the mark of good writing. Yes, I have been known to listen to Evanescence and admire black clothing occasionally, but I keep it under control. Honest. p.s. What's with all the Sue-slayings out there? I like a good Sue-roast as much as anyone, but pretty soon they're going to outnumber the actual fics. If you're reading my profile, then perhaps you are curious about who I am, so here are some quick facts: Name: never mind. Age: young enough to have fun, but old enough to know better Sex: F Height: average Weight: also average (what, you're daring to ask a lady about her weight? You better either be a doctor or an expert in self-defense...) Hair: brown Eyes: hazel/brown tattoos: none I live in Seattle, I like sushi, I hate overprocessed chemical food, and I consider banned books "recommended reading." But I think it wouldn't kill the English professors to teach something other than tragedy or sociopolitical satire once in a while. And I laugh at pretentious buzzwords like "sociopolitical." (Since I study at a state university, I hear words like that all the time...) And if my mere presence on a fanfic site didn't make it obvious, I'm somewhat of a geek. I think it's rather ironic the way some people put things in their profile saying "If you believe in nonconformity, copy and paste this line into your personal statement." Does nobody else get how ridiculous that is? I've been known to pass along memes and such, but at least admit you're not exactly being a rebel when you do it, kids. I hope you find my stories good reading, or at least moderately enjoyable. Please leave reviews and comments. I am very eager for feedback, whether it's good or bad. If you spam me like a moron, may rabid squirrels eat your socks. Thank you and have a nice day. p.s. Note to self: Do not drink hot tea and dunk cookies while reading fanfics. Unpleasant accidents may ensue. Tip for the Day: Don't take any wooden Sickles. |
