Author has written 5 stories for Harry Potter, and One Piece. Hey! I'm Valorie Jueles, which btw isn't my real name. It's a combination of two different ways to measure energy in chemistry, Calories and Joules. (I spelt Joules wrong in my name, but I don't care!) I was studying chemistry when I made this account and one day during class I really didn't feel like paying attention instead started thinking about how Valorie Jueles was a funny name to have. So when I made this account, it became my pen name. I'm a Highschooler. I live in the Boston area (Go Sox). I would absolutely love to write fiction when I grow up, but I realistically realize that in order to make any sort of living they actually have to publish your books. And then people need to buy them. Damn it! I'm going to be poor. Oh bloody well. My favorite fanfictions are Harry Potter for a number of reasons. There are so bloody many of them that I don't think I'll run out. The plot of the books is complex enough that there are thousands of different interpretations that can be made. I've been obsessed with Harry Potter since the second grade, when I read book one. Magic is fun. I like it when Ron says Bloody Hell. SOME STORY IDEAS THAT I HAVE THAT YOU CAN STEAL IF YOU WANT 'CAUSE I PROBABLY WONT GET AROUND TO THEM 1. What would actually happen if I inserted myself into the Harry Potter series. Involves very much screaming and running away. Spoof on people inserting 'themselves' into stories. 2. Original character applying at the Ministry for a 'Superhero license' Kind of a quirky idea, the base of which is that superheros are all wizards who want to help muggles, and who must provide backround stories, costumes and a prefered power, in order to perserve the statute of secrecy. I think it would be cute. 3. A story where the Dursleys are forced to hide out at Hogwarts. That would be amusing. 4. A matrix story, about what would happen if the people of zion suddenly woke up to find zion was just another matrix, brilliant really, a matrix within the real matrix, who would predict that? 5. A story where Harry loses his memory, and has to find his way back to the magical world. 6. i forgot the rest, but tell me if you use these, cause i'd like to read them. Some things that really piss me off in Harry Potter fanfics. And keep in mind, I'm not bashing if you like them, I just can't stand them. When Harry and Hermione get together. Holy Crap people! NOT AT ALL COMPATIBLE THAT WAY! They have NO chemistry! It's like INCEST! Plus, I usually like stories that most accurately portray the character of those in the books, and they are definitely not headed in that direction. I don't like Harry and Malfoy too. Besides the fact that they HATE each other in a non-playful way, Harry isn't gay. Malfoy could be, since she didn't really develope that aspect of his character But It's just another one of those not the way the book portrayed their characters things that pisses me off. So, after saying that, I just want to summarize that I mostly like Harry and Ginny, and Ron and Hermione. And this just in, I'm adding a new ship I like, because I'm sure you care! drumroll please: Dumbledore and Grindlewald. That would explain a lot about why Dumbledore went all not good for a while there, and ignored his family and stuff. But I'm having trouble finding good fics for it (not ultra-sappy thanks, not into ultra sappy romance fics unless I'm having a very strange mood swing) So if you find any, send them my way! I hate when suddenly all personality leaves a relationship and someone strong and fiery like Ginny becomes just another drooling drone. And guys, I don't think she's one to mope and cry and get impossibly angry at Harry after he breaks up with her cause he's too noble. Just look at her reaction at the time. I would like to ask when everyone started generically making Harry's parents flip out and say they made Dumbledore promise not to send him to the Dursleys. Did he make such a promise and I skipped over it in the book, 'cause I don't think he'd make that promise since he was certainly willing to send him there. Dumbledore doesn't really lie much. If he's going to omit something, he says hes not going to tell you. See first book when harry is in hospital wing asking questions. The only time I believe I saw him deliberately lie to Harry was when he asked what he saw in the mirror of Erised. When characters suddenly have new powers that don't even exist in Harry Potter. Can't you make them talented within the world JKR set you? When Harry suddenly becomes so much more powerful than his friends. If you look in the book, he isn't. He's just kick ass at DADA. That's it. When Voldemort marked him as his equal, it was an equal of wills not brute magical force. When Harry goes Dark. These fics never really interested me. Sorry people who like them. It's just... the only thing that defines Harry as special in the books is his ability to resist the dark arts. Otherwise hes just an average ability teenager. He goes through the same thing as Voldemort and comes out good, that's the difference between them. LOVE the fact that there are so many similarities between Voldemort and Harry. I think it gives the story depth, and is a little creepy. Hate stories were they become the same person (either actually or not) because that completely destroys the friction in the situation. I think people are too harsh on Dumbledore. When the last book comes out you're all going to realize he wasn't as big a fool as he pretended to be for at while. (It came out, and I WIN!) I hate fics that make him out to be a controlling semi dark asshole. Dumbledore was practically the only one who gave a crap about Harry, and I have no issue with the fact that he sent him to the Dursleys. It was to keep him alive. Just look what started happening the moment he left for Hogwarts. Met Voldy within a year. He was clever, he knew it, but he never tried to force people to acknowledge it, or use them "Subtly" (it's never very subtle in those stories.) Dumbledore had class. you've gotta admit it. He's just a class act. P. S. love the imperfections introduced by his backstory with him falling for a dark wizard (yeah, that's what I think happened) and it destroying his family, and thus realizing he didn't handle power well. He's smart about that stuff cause he lived it now, and you can't ask anymore than to understand where you went wrong. Sad he never fell in love again. But Grindlewald tried to protect him in the end by telling Voldy he'd never had the elder wand (so sweet) I don't think Snape is evil, but I wont hold that against those fics. (I WIN again) Now for what I think about people who flame. I don't care. FLAME AWAY! I'd rather you tell me what sucks about my story than just let me keep messing it up. I want to know what you think, and contrary to popular belief, not all people have calm constructive criticism reactions to your stories. Now stuff about me. In case you care. I'm a girl. My pen name might have given that away, but you never know. I have no life, which means I update quickly :) but a short attention span, so not that quickly :( Yes it is two in the morning, why do you ask? I have dirty blond hair, brown eyes, a sorta tanish- pinkish-yellowish skin color (in other words, I'm white) Proud to be from Boston, and I drop my 'r's as much as possible. Season tickets to the sox, baby. I think that someone needs to make a Guide to Fanfiction Language. Because when I discovered there was a world of people as screwed up as myself, I was overcome with joy until I went onto this site to find that I COULDN"T UNDERSTAND A WORD PEOPLE TYPED! Not actually that bad. But whatever. I mean, if you have no friends like myself, who's supposed to tell you what a Mary Sue is? I know now, but this is beside the point. Well, now that everyone thinks I'm much more passionate about this than I actually am... Anyway, if you actually had the attention span to make it this far in my profile, I commend you, for I certainly wouldn't have. (I have ADD) Ta. |
