About Me:

I am a PhD student with a background in language and deaf studies. So, if you stumbled onto this page wondering why there hasn't been an update in a long freaking time, well, that's why.

I also fence. It's a lot harder than it looks.

I love vampires. And no, I am not obsessed with ONLY Twilight vamps (AKA Twinkle Fairies). I don't like to discriminate, and there is something about the Twilight series that kind of rubs me the wrong way. Maybe that's why I read/write fanfics about it. I really wish it was different.

I used to have the "My name is Chris" poem on here, but took it off because it is super long, and and that can just be a pain in the butt when you're looking for a story list. However, just so you know:

EVERY YEAR 54 percent OF CHILDREN WHO ARE PHYSICALLY ABUSED DIE FROM THE ABUSE.

THAT MEANS MORE THAN HALF ARE MURDERED EACH YEAR BY THEIR ABUSER.

Now, I may write stories about child abuse of all forms, but I most definitely do not condone it. I write about it to both vent my frustration and bring attention to it, because it is an awful, terrible thing and no one deserves to go through it. People don't seem to realize that even the little things are bad. It takes big, scary, attention-grabbing instances to get people to give it a second glance.

That said, I occasionally write about some disturbing topics, including abuse, rape, self-harm, depression, suicide, and eating disorders. I also write about life after. If these are triggers for you, I would suggest that you avoid them until you are ready to read them. Further, I am always available through PM, and I read those PMs even if I don't update my stories often, so please write me if you need someone to speak to about any of these topics.
