Hi. Welcome to my profile. It's been awhile since I've written anything, as I'd got promoted at work and it's been extremely crazy every since. My muses seem to have fallen asleep as the amount I've had to speak and write for business purposes has increased. This one I can trace back to some of my earliest memories. Still my Dad's fault, as he's the one who dragged me to the theater (and even took me out of work for Number 7).

I should begin by saying that, while I used to think it was all my father's fault for smuggling me downstairs to watch Star Trek and Doctor Who and Superman and Aliens and Terminator and [fill in blank] with him when I was probably too young to be up that late watching that stuff and for actually taking me out of school because seeing Empire Strikes Back on the day it opened was more important than whatever I would have otherwise done in class (and thus teaching me what "spoilers" were and how to look smug and catlike while biting my tongue), and then *insisting* to my mother that he absolutely had to drag me... er... take me... to numerous sci-fi conventions, in the process creating some of my best childhood memories, I have recently realized I was wrong. Because I grew up repeatedly listening to four "Recorded Books" on LPs I got as presents when I was too young to resist from his mother, my grandmother: The Hobbit, The Wizard of Oz, and both of Lewis Carroll's Alice Books. So, basically, I never had a chance.

This is probably also a good time to apologize to Dorothy L. Sayers for the occasional intentional "homage" and the far more frequent unintentional ones I only notice upon rereading her works. If you don't know who she is, I envy you simply because you can still read her for the first time. And I also need to thank my betas, who at various times have been ljevans, Astraperaspera, Caladria101, and Pengyn.

As for myself, I'm a married mother of three living in Wisconsin and since we need to eat I work full time in a group home for adults with cognitive impairments, both on the floor assisting the individuals and in the office doing admin for the house. If you're new here or just recently discovered my stuff, I hope you like what you find. Reviews are always welcomed and appreciated, and I try to respond to everyone (though I'm not perfect I'll admit).
