"There isn't winning...or losing, it's making the attempt. I may never be what I ought to be, want to be...but how will I know unless I try?" - Wolverine I'm a huge Wolverine fan, to be sure. But that quote alone is what actually made me a fan to begin with. It is so true because there are so many people who give up, or do not bother to try at all. To me it describes precisely how I live my life. Working hard everyday typing up stories that may never get published but yet people enjoy reading. Yet writing has always been so filling to me in my soul, in my life, I could probably call it my own religion if I so chose to but I don't worship it. My interpertation of this quote is this: No matter where you end up in life, make the attempt to do what you set out to do. You never know how it will turn out. I have had this account for years. Literally, I created this account when I was in middle school and had just barely heard the word "anime" and I couldn't pronounce "manga" to save my life. Come high school my best friend and sister, Yume, introduced me to yaoi. At first I wasn't into it, I didn't think two guys kissing was hot. Without my knowing I was actually more into shounen-ai, with a big strong male character cuddling the cute, weak one he loved so much. After a while I came to love yaoi and know as you can see I'm an avid fan of the stuff. I love fan fiction, seriously, but what pisses me off is that it is so hard to find decent fan fiction now a days. Even rarer is to find it completed especially when you do love it, though I am hardly one to talk. It has taken me years and years to finally realize that you have to dedicate yourself to your writing in order for it to be complete. I don't shun budding writers however, because they are new and everyone must come to this realization on their own. Finishing that first fic is always hard, but when you seriously throw your heart and soul into your writing, blood, tears, and sweat to finish it you have a sense of pride beyond words. Disbelief first that you actually WROTE that, and amazement that you FINISHED it! It is the greatest high I have ever experienced, which is why I have never done drugs to begin with. I have, in the last year or so, began to take my writing seriously. Realizing the fact you can not only write a story, but finish it, is quite an amazing thing. My New Year's Resolution this year is to write an original novel and to get it published. I've had many people tell me this should be any easy task for me, but I'm not quite so sure to be honest. It's quite a mountain to climb over and of course getting published won't be the end of it. Next will follow getting noticed, getting a company to back me up, and hopefully a loyal fan base who will want to read my writing. I decided to embark on the epic quest of an actual novel. Right now I'm keeping the name to myself as well as the story line. I'm also working hard on Carcajou as I plan on it being a massive fic since I am going to use it to wrap everything up. I have also taken a new interest in Batman as well, even though my love is for Wolverine and always will be. My interests are remaining steady. I entertain myself with short stories I write for Maison de Lunes in case there is a story I really want to write. An idea in the back of my mind I can't seem to get rid of so I write it down just for the heck of it. Though I've never been very good with short stories to begin with. Should anyone be interested, I have a livejournal account. Simply look up "Shezka Foxe" and the name of my journal is "Secret Life of the Fanfictioner." http(coma) // shezka-foxe.livejournal /dot/ com /36289 .html I also write for these two websites: brilliantbias/dot/com. epicgamingnetwork/dot/com I go under the same username as I do on this fanfiction website. |
