A Little Bit about Me - (24/06/2010)

My name is Alex, I am 21 years old in the final year of my BA Joint Honours Drama/Film & Television Studies degree, studying at Aberystwyth. I was born in the small town of Yeovil, Somerset and grew up in the county before moving to Powys, Wales when I was nine years of age. I have lived here since and am showing no signs of leaving just yet.

I have been an avid anime and manga fan since I was 13 when a friend let me borrow my first tankoban, a poor imported replica of the first volume of Ranma 1/2 by Rumiko Takahashi. After reading the manga I searched for the title of the Internet hoping to learn more about it, and in doing so stumbled upon a fanfiction site called 'The Penultimate Ranma 1/2 Fanfiction site'. And so my long spiral into the world of fanfiction began, I read massess of high and poor quality stories drinking it all in, and from many of the crossover fic's I read my interests moved beyond Ranma 1/2 to Naruto, Bleach, Ruroini Kenshin, Inu Yasha, Death Note and many more. And from knowledge of manga came the inevitable side-along plunge into anime. Needless to say five years on I am yet to surface for breath.

Fiction currently in Production -

Naruto: Legacy of the Hokage - my first fanfiction,ever, and the basis from which I slowly work at my other stories. This story when I was regularly updated it constantly surprised me with huge levels of views and reviews, I was taken aback. But then as my degree barrelled onwards and my attention was taken elsewhere, the time period between new chapters got longer and longer until now we are into the 'updated 1 year ago' stuff. Now I am working away every now and then on the chapter, but due to my policy of using the manga as a base, whenever new information comes out in chapters which countermands my own notions I go back through the chapters and rewrite. Which is what I am doing now. Eventually the new chapter will be released and I might get back to more regular posts, but whilst my university work takes precedence my time is focused on that.

Echoes of the Soul - just a little side project I had started, trying to write out a Ranma 1/2/Bleach crossover story. This has been worked on here and there, but like LotH my degree has really taken the forefront of my focus. This story is on lockdown and will be for a while I am sorry to say.

Coming soon - I have some idea's for the future, side projects and so on, the trouble is finding time to write. But I am doing work on them none the less, so perhaps we might see something posted in the not to far future. Also, I have begun to steadily build up a secret project of which I have slightly alluded to certain individuals. I cannot explain much as it is directly linked to the finale of Legacy of the Hokages, which yes I admit is some ways away, but it helps to plan in advance. Upon concluding Legacy, I plan on starting a saga of sorts with stories being released in full over an extended period of time. This is the reason for the latest chapter being so delayed, I am working on the stories sequel. Needless to say expect the same attempted quality of writing from me, I shall not let you down.

Problems with Updating -

I am a university student, which means I have a whole ton of extra things on my plate and will have for some time. I have secured internet access, as my ability to rewrite some of my chapters for Legacy of the Hokage may show. Whenever I have the time I am writing, and I thank everyone for their patience and the bucket load of reviews.
