For my Noragami Secret Santa of 2019! A little story of Yato being drunk and getting a bit close to Hiyori.

two weeks after escaping the underworld and ebisu being reincarnated, yato is still emotionally constipated after failing to grant the commerce god's wish (among other things) and hiyori hopes food can comfort him (as per usual). her clumsy but thoughtful words warm his heart. one shot.

Crack fic, based on Tumblr users eerna and leopah's arts about what if Hiyori got to keep her Ayakashi form from the end of the hospital arc as a Shounen(tm) style powerup for later.

Yomi leaves Yato with scars and preys on his mind, and Izanami herself hits a little too close to home. He's been marked by the underworld, maybe belongs there himself, and sometimes he just needs someone to ground him in the world of the living.

Yukine had always wanted to learn more about his master's past. About his feelings, his thoughts, about that world of his that he only saw glimpses of and that Yato never shared. Yukine is simply curious about Yato's life, and Fujisaki decides to help Yukine know in the cruelest way possible.

Immortality does not mean living forever, like depression does not mean sadness and happiness does not mean a smile or a laugh. It is not life at all. It is little more than a static, unyielding existence. Boiled down to its essence, it is a total absence of change. A god will never die, but it will never live either.

Yukine's name is left vulnerable after being chipped and trapped in the heavens' box, and a series of incidents brings it closer and closer to the tipping point while Yato scrambles to hold things together. They're sitting on a powder keg of secrets drawing ever closer to igniting, and Yato wonders what's going to break first: Yukine's name, Yato's sanity, or the heart they share.

Bishamon really isn't sure that she wants to know why Yato is hiding behind a table at the colloquy. If he wants to hide away on the outskirts, then more power to him. Still... Call it curiosity.

Yato decides it's time to ask a favor or two from Bishamon, while Yukine and Hiyori puzzle over his sudden distraction. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Bishamon just wants to escape the echoes of Tsuguha's screams ringing in her ears and the weight of her shinki's secrets on her chest. Instead of peace, she finds Yato wrestling with his own demons. They might be fighting each other on the battlefield again tomorrow, but for tonight the walls drop and the war paint comes off and they don't seem that very different at all.

The box leaves Yukine a nervous wreck, and nights are always the worst. There's nothing scarier than the dark behind his eyelids and the shadow waiting to pounce, but if he looks harder, he can find Yato there too. Yato, who can chase the dark away but is haunted by shadows of his own. They come together in the night, hiding away from the world beneath the blankets.

yato's shinki always have the tragic habit of quitting on him. and like a coward, he lets them go. yato, yukine, and the question: what is the duty a god has to his shinki?

A routine job comes to a screeching stop when an ayakashi dressed in a glamour appears, wearing a face Yato hasn't seen in a thousand years. He thought he had escaped Yomi when Hiyori called his name, but Izanami isn't ready to let him go. After all, he and Ebisu made a deal, and Izanami isn't one to take a broken bargain lightly.

Something is horribly wrong with Yukine. He's being...nice? It's weirding Yato out, and he's on a mission to figure out what's wrong with his kid and how to fix it. Alien abduction? Brain trauma? Possession? Something is definitely going on, but when Yato finally figures it out, it might be more than he can handle.

An encounter with Nora leaves Yukine shaken and unsure of where exactly he stands with Yato. His doubts only push the god farther away, until they culminate in a mistake that could ruin everything and make him lose Yato altogether. But if he realizes the damage he's been doing and fixes things in time, he might learn the meaning of family and forgiveness.

He always kept an origami crane in his right pocket and a cat talisman in his left.

Every blessing has a price, and Yukine learns he has one too when he is forced into an underground auction for blessed regalias.

Yato's feelings for Hiyori intensifies far past what he ever imagined after she gives him his own shrine. Hiyori sees childish clinginess but what she doesn't realize is that Yato's love for her is bringing his old nature of possessiveness and desire to the surface. And this is only the beginning. Yukine is a mess after another god names him against his will, and it threatens to unleash the magatsukami on the heavens.

Maka realizes that Soul is like a puppy. Soul is not pleased.

Everyone knows that Yato is the worst of freeloaders, but maybe only because he's difficult to understand. A look into all of the things he does for his friends, the things they do for him, and the understanding they reach somewhere along the way.

As much as Yukine enjoys all the praise for becoming a hafuri—and especially enjoys rubbing it in his master's face—something rubs him the wrong way about how his newfound status reflects on Yato. Really, he had been so sure that Yato was the one who was going to embarrass them at the colloquy.

The second time he spoke to Hiyori Iki was a full week after their first conversation. The bus had just dropped her off at the end of the street. She waved at him and said: "It's Yato, isn't it?" That was when he had fallen in love with her. (written for the noragami big bang 2k18)

Yato lets his fantasies run wild again, Hiyori just wishes he could take something seriously for once, and Kofuku offers a different perspective on his over-the-top dreams.

The Yatogami has a dark past and complicated present. A man of transitioning self-worth and identity, Yato goes from God of Calamity, to God of Delivery, and now aims to become a God of Fortune. The road to his goal will not be easy, however, as his past often comes back to haunt him. A story about Yato's state of mind as he does his best to change.

Yato had trouble sleeping.

[Spoilers up to Noragami Aragoto Episode 5 and up to Chapter 58 for the manga.] There are plenty of shinki who have died for their master's sake. Not just anyone can be promoted to a Blessed Regalia. That's why Blessed Regalias are so praiseworthy. Yukine is one such shinki; a shinki who has become a Blessed Regalia.

He's like a naked blade, and Yukine is like a… a soft toy, maybe, or a kitten, that's just walked up to the blade and is nuzzling against it, and Yato just knows that he's gonna hurt this child. (In which a friend has become an akayashi, Yukine's crying, and Yato just does his best to be strong for them both.)

Hooking up with a stranger at her childhood friend's wedding hadn't been Maka's plan, nor had she planned on being so hung up on him after that night. It had been just sex after all, even if he had been endearingly awkward and cute and had flirted with her via pastries. Maybe she should have at least asked for his last name as well. Written for Resbang 2014!

They have a special game, Yaboku and Hiiro, and they're really good at it. Practice makes perfect, after all, and they practice loads. It's really fun, not really because of the blood that sprays in pretty crimson arcs, but because it makes Hiiro smile and father praise them, and those two things make up Yaboku's whole world. Then Yaboku meets Sakura, and everything changes.

Yato was Kazuma's benefactor, and Kazuma wasn't one to leave a debt unpaid. For years, he watched Yato, looking for an opportunity to repay him - he never found one, but he watched as Yato's first mask, his first defense, broke, and then watched some more as Yato created a new one. And in between, he saw Yato, real and so, so tired.

Yato's touch soils things, and he isn't sure how to go about being forgiven when he's spent his whole life being forgotten. / Yato-centric, with some shipping if you squint. Drabble.

There's a kid in the bathroom stall. He's curled on the floor, asleep or passed out with his forehead pressed against the toilet's base. In which Yukine is a runaway, Yato's homeless, Hiyori works at the local shelter, and it's the winter of the deepest freeze Tokyo's seen in thirty years.
