So, even if I weren’t emotionally invested, I still would have read and loved this because the writing is beautiful. That being said, yes yes yes, so much yes! Love the characterization and the time skip is a really effective. Love it!

I find Yato and Kazuma's relationship really interesting, and it's nice to see some fics of their pre-canon interactions. It must've been really weird for Kazuma to see such a stark, abrupt change in Yato over the years, and I think you did a really good job showing that. And also, it's just nice to see someone have a deeper understanding of Yato and who he is beneath all his masks, because he's good at hiding it and it takes a long time for other characters to really *look*.

You've got some great descriptions and emotional analysis, and it's interesting to see Kazuma's character from back when he was still pretty young, as well as a different side of Yato's personality. Very nicely done.

it's good, really! no wonder how much favs this story get this far. i like how you portrayed Yato in his old days, his struggling, and how the mask was created. it was beautifully explained, i could say. especially how you represent the way his eyes glow and dim and it told everything :)
i always love that parts. and i like how you expand Kazuma's act in this whole benefactors thing, i like the quotes.
