This is a collection of chapters based on different quotes (famous and not so) which help the general theme along. It centres around Matt and Alesha but most of the gang also feature. In which trust games are played, the future is undecided, and no one quite knows what Mordred is up to. Or, alternatively, an author allowing her imagination to run riot thanks to that scene with the cloak. Merlin/Mordred, eventually.

Arthur is having a perfectly lovely evening, really, at least until some nutter decides emulating Guy Fawkes' attempt to destroy the monarchy is a good idea.

What happens when Arthur and Gwen are set up by their well meaning friends on the worst blind date in history? A modern multi-chaptered AU and OOC sort of fic with some of the gang along for the ride. Rated T just to be safe :

When Merlin proposes to his sister, Arthur knows nothing will ever be the same between them, and he can live with that. He won't be happy about it, but even if he's loved Merlin for years, he's not going to stand up at their wedding shouting, "I object," not when it won't do him any good. The incontrovertible truth about Lancelot is that he loves Guinevere, loves her more than any person has ever loved another, cherishes her more than the air he breathes and the food he eats and the water he drinks. To Lancelot, Guinevere is more than the sun and moon, than anything in the world, than life itself. Lancelot loves Guinevere, but he kisses like he means it.

Because second chances don't come along every day. Particulary not ones who stick around after you throw drinks on them.

Life goes on after Camlann, whether or not Guinevere wishes it to.
